What enormous fun this was to watch, what a boundless imagination you have! When my daughter was little, I used to love making doll clothes, so this is right up my alley! The hats are so charming, will definitely give it a go, thanks!

I used to get in trouble with my mother, for choosing things like that. Mom was very conservative and sparkly shiny thongs were considered gaudy! But here I AM!!!LOLOLOLOL!!

Maybe a thin coat of color for a base layer may help with the coverage needed when using the lace. Love these, so creative.
Great idea! YES I should have used a colored piece of fabric 1st. But I will be making more so I'll use that option on next batch! Thank you for the suggestion!
Would you consider painting the paper before putting on the fabric to help with cover?
That's a great idea!! I have used that technique for other things, i didn't even consider it when making the hats. i would be concerned about paint "bleeding" on the fabric do to moisture from the glue. Let me know how yours turns out!
I Love your hats!! I love seeing the different techniques on how to create a miniature. Hats can be very addictive and easy to get carried away! The Bonnet gave me an idea to create a top piece from the Era I'm working in! Thanks for sharing...lovely hats!!!
