After they scrapped Character Mastery I feel like I can't be excited for anything in regards to Snap. 1st edition badges all over again but much worse. I think its time for me to consider uninstalling this game.
Regardless of what I do I'll say I always enjoy your content Cozy. I think you're far too good for Marvel Snap.
I would say keep following Cozy for new non-Snap content in the future.
Yep exept for me its the state of the game and how we're basically at the same place we were a year ago with just a few tweaks to cosmetics

I can't believe they dropped card mastery and the ultimate card rework which I was really looking forward to. I'm taking a break for a month, I'm burnt out and tired of nothing big being added besides more monetization.
I wanted to take a break. But it feels like then im so behind with all the cards. I'm just quitting I think. SD has frustrated me. Especially with leagues.

Maybe I'm just overly cynical, but this roadmap sure feels like "We're going to do as little as possible and keep squeezing you for all the money we can until numbers dip enough for the C-Suite to panic."

Card mastery getting scrapped means I'm not spending anymore. F2p until I'm done completely
Remember Booster Vats? No? Neither does SD apparently. Guess i'll just have to rely on RNG giving me boosters for cards I never use or already have 1000+ boosters for and not the cards I actually wanna split.
Player since global launch, killing Character Mastery like this and the tone of the post (#gamedevelopment) absolutely destroyed all my excitement. I'm a huge collector and this was something I was greatly looking forward to. I felt like a kid on christmas morning waiting for this announcement, now I know there is nothing coming in the next year I really care about, and everything I wanted (including the ultimate VFX update & booster vats) is gone, it's worse than getting coal.
They removed Ultimate Variant Evolution which is kinda sad, I was most hyped about this feature
Locking the card behind grinding out what's essentially conquest in a deadpool costume sounds pretty bad unless the card releases in a spotlight shortly after the event ends.
Draft mode is probably getting scrapped too
The only reason Draft Mode is on the roadmap is to give us hope. Otherwise this is the biggest L for Second Dinner. Nothing looks good.
Ngl they have taken way too long to implement new stuff not sure the issue with them is but hopefully they can get stuff together there

Wish they'd increase the chance on splits. Shouldn't be at 15 for bishop and cant get a good split.

There have been so many changes to the game that most of the things you complain about became not important. Since its much easier to get new cards, first edition badges became useless. Ultimate Variant upgrades… be honest, you would never use that update.

Deadpools Diner to me reminds me of that old saying of 'hey, here's the same thing we have already, but now it's different because it's something new visually - technically though it's conquest with chimis.
Read quickly past leagues as the stated free and premium tracks...betcha you can always opt in with some more bims if ya lose.
Alliances look pretty well done, although now that I am seeing more and more lose interest in playing, it's almost too late as I even find myself not really caring about logging in everyday, etc.
Overall, it's not a hercules drop, but it's a Zero/Marytr that can get the job done, but why not have 'xmen, midnight suns, future villians, all of the album cards have...idk synergies? The valentines day event really was a lot of fun, same as the other one.

New card mechanic would have to mean "common mechanics" tag like Move Destroy Discard Ongoing On Reveal etc
Switch Sides, At the start of the game, at the end of the game, energy reserve etc.
Probably just "drain" from Cassandra Novas text. I recon they'll add that to cards like Selene too.
This is so disappointing. What is the point of a road map when they don't follow through on anything? Character mastery was the thing that was holding me to this game. All new content is monetization for SD and nothing for the player. I have zero trust they can make non-predatory social features.
Why would I buy variants without the character mastery?
SD has been on an L streak with Snap for the past 2-3 months. Are they gonna turn things round soon? I am doubtful.

The game has become aggressively pay 2 win,zero catch up mechanics and the card acquisition system is atrocious. The roadmap is extremely disappointing to say the least. I have personally lost all faith in the devs. They have a fantastic game which has been ruined by their predatory monetisation model. Why are they actively putting a massive paywall around cool new stuff? People are willing to pay/support content why make it so difficult? Shame.

This is pathetic really, most of this was announced probably 5 months ago at this point and yet we’ve made no legit progress outside of some borders. It’s like their main goal is to suck money out of us through bundle after bundle cosmetic after cosmetic and yet where is all this time and money going? More borders that cost 1k gold? How long will any of this take to get implemented another year? All these things they’re adding, like Deadpool dinner, is small nonsense so they can stall more. This game will die off permanently if they don’t get their shit together and it’s really sad

I love marvel snap, the roadmap captures my attention. Specially the new gamemode but sadly its been getting stale. I stopped playing a couple of seasons ago, but will happily comeback when we get the new gamemode. New cards frequently is great! But that doesnt get me excited enough to play it consistently. I think draft will make me play it more often just because of the casual aspect it provides. No grinding missions or anything, just jump in and play with random cards. Great game! Great new card development team, little bit slow on the gamemode aspect but we will get there.
i have a feeling that this deadpool event you be either:
1. you must grind 18~20h a day every day to reach the points needed to get cassandra
or
2. there will be some p2w bs
I want to be able to apply all split effects to version/variant of a card.
New boards for these events would be cool.
Meat riding again. This update is not a good look for SD. It quite honestly sucks. Keeping a P2W event, *still* having card acquisition in concept when they can just do series drops again is so stupid. Game could be the best of all time and they choosing the money over the support

As someone who's watched every season of Dexter on Showtime, I have concerns.
Instead of dreaming up new Modes that are either the same as we already have or won't be made either way they need to bring in a better way to collect cards again. That nonsense with Spotlight Caches is killing the Game. I still don't understand how they ever thought that's a good idea. Also they really need to work on the prices for their stuff. I know they're living off whales, but practically every pack being over 20€ is criminal. And don't even get me started on that stupid Emote Shop.
New game modes are always welcome. What bothers me, is that card acquisition improvements are only in concept stage and intensive monetization of the game is still commencing. If getting into the game for new players will be too difficult and costly, the game will die. New cards must be easy to obtain and cosmetics must be cheaper, so more people can afford it.
Draft mode... the only thing on this that I find interesting. Alliances need to be unlimited members... I don't want people separated. I want to join some random one and be done with it.

No character masteries is a shame, I also don't really care *at all* about alliances. I half expect Draft mode to get scrapped because #gamedevelopment in 6 months.
Your content is always #1 . Deck breakdowns with substitutes is underrated
"Brand new card for playing" is good.. but playing how much ? If it involves playing a ton of Snap then that's a feels bad situation considering Snap is supposed to be a less grindy game.

Hero Mastery was probably the most anticipated feature. And since Hero Mastery got scrapped, draft mode being on the list means nothing.
Brode and co. Should be embarrassed by the last year of the game and this roadmap. The amount of money thats in this studio,.and the power of this IP, sad. Game had potential. This roadmap proves its well past peak.

I‘ll just say it: There are probably many great and lovely snappers out there but I‘ve played a lot of online games and Snap is - from my observations from reddit or playing the game - by far the most toxic I‘ve ever played. So I do not necessarily think that a social function like a chat will do the game any good. On the contrary, I believe that social pressure and social anxiety will rise, bc of the pressure you‘ll have when you join a try-hard alliance and you have to fulfill you goals or you‘re getting kicked out. I‘ve seen countless games die to guild/alliance modes and I fear the worst… I will give them a benefit of a doubt to make it work and go create an environment for every player‘s needs but as soon as I see any of my fears being slightly true, I will be gone, and so will others…
I want a 2v2 mode. I havent played in months because its boring. Theres literally nothing to do besides playing others.
im disappointed. It's a 4/10. They had so much time to drop something incredible but everything is still in development, which means we will not get it this year. The deadpool event is nice but i really was hoping for more and that they even removed promised features is sad. No mastery and character customisation, no booster magnets, no first edition batches, no improved pc Ui, no new boards. It feels even more disappointing when we all the time get stuff added to the game but its just micro i mean macro transactions.
This road map is so annoying. Card mastery was so good and scrapping it is a slap in the face. And they're still doing leagues? Leagues is a blight on mobile games and it's very annoying that they continue to push this as their only big update.
I love the game but some elements are not great. It's good that we are getting new ways to get new cards F2P players need that. Hey, I'm all for Marvel Snap. Hopefully, these new modes keep it running in the long run!

As much as I like this game, I just don't have much confidence in this dev team. Hard job I'm sure, but we live in an age where you got to really try hard to keep peoples attention.
Honestly this feels like a 3 or 4 out of 10. Losing character mastery is a pretty big loss.
I have been feeling less engaged with Marvel snap but with theses future updates it gets my hyped.

New card mechanic = "drain"
The more I think about new card mechanic, the more excited I get. From someone who has played cards games since the early 90's, Glenn wouldn't have it up there if it was just another on reveal or something. This won't be just a new archetype like mill which was just a type of on reveal. We have merging and secret and ongoing and power reducing. Who knows what they are cooking up but color me excited. This is more tangible than cars mastery was so we'll see.

I can't express how much I'm disappointed with this road map. Not only we won't get card mastery, the new "mode" is an afterthought, and the other coming soon features are really nothing else but improvements... Talk about underwhelming and depressing, especially in light of the recent Gambit variant kerfuffle. It seems lately SD is just taking Ls left and right. Pity.
These additions are worse than the state of the game currently. The only thing I was looking forward to was draft mode but that wont be released this year.

The biggest thing this game needs is a draft mode where each player can draft and ban cards from the pool. This will set up more entertaning tournaments and content.

Honestly? If they had done this as a regular announcement, this probably would have been fine. Announcing this ahead of time with IGN put the expectations way too high.
