Thank you. That should be a hint to a certain chasers who act like out of control 5-year olds trying to overdramatize the event and draw attention to themselves, versus the event.
The roar, then the first tornado moving along to show a second and equal tornado (even saying that is insane!), the calm and quiet you allow? Stunning and mind boggling; one of the best!! Thank you!!
I can't believe that I haven't found this until now... This is just, absolutely incredible!!!! This is WAY more than just a once-in-a-lifetime experience...
The fact that they were formed from two separate mesocyclones with the same thunderstorm a few miles apart is amazing, it's not unusual to see a tornado with a satellite tornado under the same wall cloud/mesocyclone but this is truly unique
This is probably one the best and most clear videos we've seen in a long time! And thanks for not yelling or cursing even though it would have been perfectly ok to.
Timothy, thanks for posting this fantastic videography of a rather intimidating weather phenomenon! In addition to the lack of screaming, yelling, & `potty mouth`, I really appreciated how you stuck to one focal length/zoom level during the entire scene. This makes it easier for the viewer to have that ``being there`` experience, and not be distracted by constant zooming in and out, in and out, and panning left to right to left etc etc. The lack of distractions allowed me to notice other details in the frame, and get a real sense of the groundspeed & violent rotation in the beast! As for the meteorology, your video did a fantastic job of capturing some impressive and long-lived horizontal vortices, which are almost always a sure sign of a very violent tornado capable of doing EF-4 or EF-5 level damage. I also noticed a rather persistent funnel between the two tornadoes, along with obvious rapid upward motion in the more distant monster (which also caused EF-4 level damage). A QUESTION: What gear did you use? The steadiness during your panning to track the tornado made me wonder if you used a DSLR and an image-stabilized lens with a panning function for the stabilization...
A hypnotizing storm. Occasionally a tornado, despite the violence and mindless destructiveness of it, attains an awesome visual grace and majesty. And this one was majestic--a majestic nightmare. Hope nobody was in the way.
This was some of the best footage of tornadoes I have ever seen. Thank you for remaining calm and collected throughout the video. And thank you for sharing such a rare event with us!
Crazy how this vid made tornado winds seem slow, as apposed to some extremely violent tornados, these two were just churning along through anything in their way. Amazing.
You did a fantastic job on filming these tornadoes. You focused on the bottom. I like that, I like to see what it is doing. When storm chasers film they watch the top of the twister. On small devices, people have trouble seeing the movement and what ever else they are filming. I hope your house and you were ok. Great job.
Some of the best footage I have seen. Only wish the video would of shown some of the cloud formations above the twisters. It's amazing how they are scary, yet they draw your attention in an almost mesmerizing way. Thank you for posting this great video.
Amazing footage - I would strongly suggest you place some kind of copyright notice on the footage though, as otherwise you may find it's stolen/used without your permission.
This is some of the best non storm chaser video I've ever seen. Thank you for letting the tornadoes do the talking! I think we could all learn something from your video taking here. Did your camera have auto focus? That was about the only thing that happened in this video was the auto focus but damn good job. Hope everything is okay there...your neighbors fair well too?
Were these the Pilger tornado twins? If so that's a fantastic view of them. I haven't seen too many close-ups of these beasts (and they were monsters).
THANK YOU for sharing this! Great job filming nice to have in 1080 HD as well... wish there were a few pan shots of the cloud base towards the top of the funnel however you did excellent. Curious what you used to film this? I saw some rain drops at times nice and clear...
It is part of the function of the human brain to spot patterns in order to process information as quickly as possible...this is why people think they see faces in all sorts of situations. Of course, there is no face here.
Out of all the billions of humans that have ever graced the earth, you have witnessed something only a few hundred people or so have witnessed in recorded history. I can feel your amazement through the lack of commentary haha
That was such a great video of "THE TWIN TORNADOES", great angle too. I love that turbine sound. I turned on my fan to my left side on full so I could really capture the moment. I heard you Tim " holy F", that was when that RFD from the big one was hitting you. I would have said the same thing, what else could anyone say, it looks like the end of the world.
Excellent video! Just an incredible piece of nature to sit back and watch. I'm wondering, as I'm sure many are, what became of the second tornado? Did it follow the exact same path as the first one?
Matthew Vaden The second tornado in the background was the one that struck Pilger directly. It outlived the tornado in the foreground, eventually turning into a satellite tornado and merging with the Wakefield EF4.
Wicked twister's! I can't believe, they both missed, the little white trailer in this video. After the first one missed it by a hair, I was convinced, that the second one would take it out, but it appears to miss it, too. Thank Heaven's! If it had, it would've been demolished, and all those inside it, would've been killed. Totally terrifying video, though! Keep up the great work, and stay safe doing it!
Was this the same twin set of funnels that hit Pilger? Prudent to take cover when you did...the first one took a predictable straight line, if scarily close, but the second one was a little less predictable, orbiting. Hope you got through this ok!
UNREAL!
Pecos Hank lol
and the roar
It’s honestly astounding that this video isn’t more widely known.
When are you making another video?
Hope your 2021 season is going well
Are those the Pilger tornadoes?!
Anybody else think this has a surreal dreamlike quality to it? It's beautiful. Truly.
Excellent video! #1 rule for storm chasers demonstrated here. Shut up and let the storm do the talking!
Agreed!
Thank you. That should be a hint to a certain chasers who act like out of control 5-year olds trying to overdramatize the event and draw attention to themselves, versus the event.
Did anyone else's jaw DROP when they saw the second massive funnel come into view? Jeez.
Wow. I've been a huge geek for these things for a couple of decades, and this is near the top of the list of greatest cyclone videos of all time.
No doubt this footage is one of the top 5 tornado videos out there.. Just a great job!!! Thank you..
The roar, then the first tornado moving along to show a second and equal tornado (even saying that is insane!), the calm and quiet you allow? Stunning and mind boggling; one of the best!! Thank you!!
Possibly the most incredible footage i've ever seen.
I can't believe that I haven't found this until now... This is just, absolutely incredible!!!! This is WAY more than just a once-in-a-lifetime experience...
almost unreal seeing two tornado of that size like that, once in a lifetime shot.

out of probably a hundred or more videos ive watched, this is the first to capture the blast furnace like sound so clearly. amazing
This IS one of THE best tornado videos I've watched, and there've been a lot! This is majestic!
I can't believe how definite that roar is. Incredible.
This is one of the best tornado videos I've ever seen and I've seen them all. Great camera work!
This was some of the best footage of tornadoes I have ever seen. Thank you for remaining calm and collected throughout the video. And thank you for sharing such a rare event with us!
Chasing solo and not being around mobs of other chasers is the key to a silent video. Great job!
This is literally one of the best tornado videos online today, and it only has 52,000 views as of today, in 2021. Crazy
Crazy how this vid made tornado winds seem slow, as apposed to some extremely violent tornados, these two were just churning along through anything in their way. Amazing.
Good job with the camera! I like the horizontal that forms around the outside of the main funnel
Wow two large stovepipe wedges in the same shot! Beautiful, albeit in a scary way.
The fact that a second tornado appeared behind the first tornado is so surreal
Beautiful beyond belief.
I’ve never seen 2 large tornadoes that close together. Amazing video. Thanks.
Great Tornado video! THIS is how it's done, people. No shouting, screaming and foaming at the mouth with eyes rolling back like Reed Timmer.
lol
Reed doesn’t really do that anymore nowadays
man ik that was probably unintentional but he actually did have a seizure while chasing in 2013...
@@stormexplorer3971 Yes he does
Incredible tornado video, one of the best I've ever seen. I agree with David Drummond here...just let the storm do all the "talking".
this is the best footage i’ve seen of these tornadoes,,, great video!!!
A thing of majestic beauty
One of the best tornado footages
Absolutely insane footage!

“I hope you don’t mind, but I brought a friend with me”. 5:01 would be my reaction to that unannounced guest, too.
Tim what did it feel like to be so close to such a powerful force of nature? It looked so eerie and formidable yet beautiful at the same time.
I was very intrigued, just wanting to study this force of nature.
Saw this video on the weather channel, it was awesome two tornadoes at the same time, very rare. Thanks for answering my question be good.
Just wow! Some of the best footage I've seen from that day. Plus, it's from a different angle than most videos!
Great job filming this with no shouting or camera off the main topic... just wonderful
Some of the best footage of all time not gonna lie.
I think I heard the crickets screaming, even they were trying to get away from that thing.
There’s 2 tornados 🌪 behind each other that’s beautiful but scary at the same time
Fantastic job shooting this video!
This shot is surreal! You can see the fast motion of the bottom of the tornado and the sharp edges and dents in the debris cloud. Great video!
That horizontal voriticity (noodle!) is wild! Thank you.
That footage is ⚡️AMAZING⚡️
Thx for posting an awesome double tornado. I saw it live on one of the storm chaser apps and The Weather Channel.
Same here it was amazing!
Insane..mother nature’s fury yet so gorgeous
The frogs. Their chirping was a nice backdrop to the more broad roar of the tornado
Omg !! That’s absolutely amazing ❤️🔥
Some of the best footage I have seen. Only wish the video would of shown some of the cloud formations above the twisters. It's amazing how they are scary, yet they draw your attention in an almost mesmerizing way. Thank you for posting this great video.
That sound...
2nd best tornado footage i have seen. Good work !!!!
What was the first
Amazing footage - I would strongly suggest you place some kind of copyright notice on the footage though, as otherwise you may find it's stolen/used without your permission.
Excellent advice...

great video thanks for sharing.

Just found this video. Best one yet of Pilger storm

Probably the best video footage of these insane twin wedgy near Pilger!
This is the best amateur video of the Twins i have seen.
Oh wow, I did NOT expect to see another one in the background!
The background dancer twister. 😂🙌😊
0:45 Holly hell, that view!
It seems that Nebraska tornadoes are usually wide and slow moving - great for video.
Holy crap! Never seen a pair of twins that were both so huge! Normally, you get 1 big one, and the other is smaller. These both looked F5-ish or so.
Both were rated EF4 IIRC
There's two tornadoes wow amazing video footage
That is Monsterous! and there was a second one too!
Nicely done all around
that's amazing when 2 form like that
Just crazy. Awesome sight.
Were these the Pilger tornado twins? If so that's a fantastic view of them. I haven't seen too many close-ups of these beasts (and they were monsters).
Yes
Amazing footage, not of one, but two!
Wow!Incredible.
See this is great no blabbing or shouting like it should be.
great footage

wow good capture. Frogs don't have a care in the world, can hear them... ;)
I've never even heard of this one! (or pair) This video is unbelievably good. Amazing quality and tells a really great story When was this, OP?
Amazing!!!!!
Am I the only one seeing these extremely disturbing faces in the big tornado on the right around the 1:08 mark?
And a big one again at 1:38
It is part of the function of the human brain to spot patterns in order to process information as quickly as possible...this is why people think they see faces in all sorts of situations. Of course, there is no face here.
@WickedTornado paul knightly for president!
i mean well. i just think his response to the awesomeness hippopotamus was much more diplomatic than was yours.

2020 here.. was wondering where we left these

@@samuelstephens6904 Thanks Samuel Luckily this was very rural area. If this was a major city it would be the ultimate nightmare.
Nice video!
It's like what the first one didn't destroy, the second one took care of what if anything was left wow !!!
Wicked twister's! I can't believe, they both missed, the little white trailer in this video. wow, awesome vid
The beginning I’m like hey better get moving it’s coming right at you
MOST FUCKING INCREDIBLE DOUBLE FEATURE OF AL:L-TIME!!!!!!! CAN YOU IMAGINE THIS THING ROLLING INTO YOU NIEGHBORHOOD AT A STEADY 2 MPH????
Wow 2 tornados 🌪!
Wow… it’s a nice scenery to see in 2020, you can see the western twin slowly restrengthen into a wedge
Wait! What happened to the loud pounding music with people argueing what to do next and the screams of Debri, Debri. lol
that horizontal vorticy after 5:45 on the top left tho
Great stuff
I didn’t even notice the 2nd tornado until like 20 seconds after the 1st moved out of the way.
Amazing sooooo massive
Was this the same twin set of funnels that hit Pilger? Prudent to take cover when you did...the first one took a predictable straight line, if scarily close, but the second one was a little less predictable, orbiting. Hope you got through this ok!
I miss storm chasing in Neb!
i think this is tornado EF 5 or EF 4 ?
Awesome😊
