After watching some full gameplay, I'm way more excited for this game. A lot of the clips I had seen just looked like a bunch of fireworks going off and I didn't really get what the moment to moment gameplay was like. Super excited to get my hands on this and see the ridiculous build variety, especially with the live updates and frequent content drop schedule
Same. The trailer really didn't do this game justice at all, it just looked like a bunch of random stuff happening (honestly looked like one of those dumb mobile game ads lol). Seeing Kripp and now Rarran go over and play the game has made me actually very interested in the game and will be checking it out

ngl, I was pretty skeptical back when reynad said that he was gonna make the game, I pretty much expected it to be some kind of ntf stuff or rugpull kinda thing, but I'm happy to be proven wrong, this looks genuinely something I can see myself playing these days. I did a quick search on reddit and it looks that it's not going to get official steamdeck support, I just hope that you guys will not block the community efforts to get it running there.

I honestly did not expect the game to be like this at all. It looks absolutely amazing. I think one of the coolest aspects that the development team seems to be following is that this is not just a roguelike, but is a game where you are battling against other actual people and grows in conjunction with that. Overall, I am stoked and already purchased access to the closed beta. Very excited to see this game grow over time.

From all of this, the one takeaway that really stood out to me: The fact that you cannot reroll infinitely. That's just such an insane feature none of the other games have done so far. Well, in Slay the spire you can't reroll either but that's not PVP so... What I'd like to see added (and I'm really not sure how to implement this) is a goldsink. SInce you can't roll down in this game there might be some designspace to explore where you can always spend your gold to get something (xp, health, whatever) at a really bad rate
From what I could see your gold doesn't really "fizzle" like for turn-to-turn mana, so I don't think this is an issue as any gold not used will eventually be used later on to upgrade/respec/buy.
There was an option he didn't go for that said "You can reroll infinitely" so it looks like late game there is the chance to find those huge goldsinks.
Aside from gold earned simply by defeating encounters, you will usually have the option to get somethign else (XP/consumable/event) instead of gold so it's up to you to not end up with a huge pile of gold you don't need. Not having goldsinks discourages hoarding and promotes balance in your decision-making instead of just always getting gold knowing that eventually you will powerspike from it.
46:04 Infinite reroll shop is probably really good to hit if you've got tons of gold. Pygmalien also apparently has more gold-related mechanics in his card pool, so probably has cards that scale with gold. You can also sell and respec your entire build which could be seen as a gold sink. There are also items you can buy just to sell for bonuses. Imo, these are all fine gold sinks already, and the decision-making process that accompanies each has more strategic depth than simply pouring your excess gold into stats before your last chance fight. Imagine you have a shield build that has been beaten by 3 poison builds by 100ish hp, and you finally find a way to up your damage output by doing damage based on shield values. This is an example Reynad mentioned. You built your counter, you finally did it - but, the last poison build you face just bought 300 hp with their excess gold and you lose. That does not sound like an enjoyable experience to add into the game. You found the nuts to beat your nemesis and they just sank some gold into a random stat and beat you anyway.
I'll be honest, before this, having only casually followed the Bazaar, I wasn't really interested in the game. But this video has sold me on it so hard. Genuinely excited to try it now.
I literally rewatched all the Rarran & Reynad collab videos 2 days ago and was wondering what happened to the Bazar. And now this video releases. That's uncanny.
Rarran I love your channel. I was a huge fan and follower of HS and Reynad playing in HS beta myself. Been watching you for a long time and always love your collaboration videos especially. So hyped to see you playing The Bazaar. I’ve been waiting for this game forever.

I sat through the entire 90 minutes of this and absolutely love it. I can't wait to play and brew my own builds. I hope I can get in to closed beta.
Great beta! Really excited but if I had to change 1 thing, maybe the wording of whether a card has to be on board to work or not cuz thats kind of confusing and some could play for weeks without knowing that passive effects in the bag exist or smth
This video was great, I loved seeing the pain in Reynad's eyes at your spear popping off. Much love to mr Reynad and the game looks so much more interesting than I was expecting - I wasn't considering playing it but it looks like it will be fun to just mess around in casually.
I love how happy Reynad finally looks. He has gone from a young playboy to an old chinese martial arts master in these past years and its finally gonna pay off big. Great success. Cant wait to non directly make people very unhappy.
The game looks way different than I expected but really cool actually! Much more like a Backpack Battles than Hearthstone, I expected Reynad to make a normal 1v1 card game but I really like the idea of a roguelite but you play vs real people. That character designs and art style are nice too, I didn't expect that opening cinematic. Now I'm excited for the game to come out, I'll definitely give it a shot! And the asynchronous aspect actually addresses my biggest worry about the game which was that all these smaller card games rarely have enough players to survive, but this way it will be no problem and actually be able to gain some momentum I've never seen Reynad seem so happy and that's already a good sign lol
@@zerolifez There's no source, backpack battles bears more resemblance to backpack hero combined with the autobattler craze that was around the 2022 time which also directly inspired bazaar to turn from a card drafting Dominion-like game to an autobattler.
Game looks amazing. I see a little bit of ui struggles when he is buying items that go to his stash, then he needs to go to his stash to sell the item so he can go back to the store to buy an item he needs to sell etc... I feel like readability is also a little bit of a struggle, especially when an item gets frozen. If there was a slider for speed on the match or a re-watch function to see how you lost that'd be sick. Game definitely looks super polished over all though, can't wait to try it out!
You can tell that this is a labor of love. Really interesting and engaging mechanics. The fact that this will be a constant pool of cards, without any being cycled out is a big plus point for me, as it ensures that the cards and builds are carefully designed before release. I'm definitely looking forward to playing it upon release.
i've been playing A LOT of slay the spire recently, and just based off that I sat and watched this entire video with the biggest urge to play this game. Always loved Reynad, so I decided I'd buy closed beta access. Can't wait to get my hands on it, but based by the depth of whats shown in this video, this game was well worth the wait.
It's pretty wholesome to see Reynad holding back in giving strategy like putting the spear on the left side of the board and just let him explore the game on his own pace.
Damn, I didn't think The Bazaar would actually be released in my lifetime. It actually looks pretty good too, from someone with zero game development experience. Pretty interesting.
The game looks cracked ngl. Visual and Sound Design are on point, tbf it seems very complex to get into but it also seems to have a lot of skill expression later on. Looks great Reynad!
Oh man, this is the first I'm hearing of a solid release date, and it's really not that far off. I'm so excited and also so happy for Reynad, to see this passion project come to fruition must be great :) Reynad really is such a great dude, I'm glad this is working out and coming together. Can't wait to play it! Also, if Reynad sees this, @27:40 about the junk tooltip, change it to scrapyard and scrap instead of junkyard and junk, sounds a bit nicer :)
Honestly this game looks really fun. It's a little hard to really understand how everything is running together in combat but with what Reynad said about working on an after action report that would be great.
THis game is so hype, I watched this video being my first exposure to this game and I just bought a supporter pack. It is so awesome to see a retired streamer put their vision into a project.
As someone who only barely kept up with this game (mostly due to these collabs with reynad) this is looking so much better than any previous build! I was already kinda looking forward to it, but this seems like a far huger step into a roguelike esque combo. As probably one of the biggest fans of dungeon runs in hearthstone and roguelikes in general i am really happy with how this game turned out. Tier 1 purchased and looking forward to the beta!
Really cool to grow up as a Reynad fan and to see him follow through on his goal as a dev. Clearly heavily involved in the process and proud of the product. Even if it sucks, I love to see him work and talk through his labor of love. Looking forward to playing it!
Until this video I didn't actually truly understand what the loop was and what made it interesting. Now I get it and I purchased a Founders Pack, excited to play the Beta!
Damn, this looks amazing! Didn't know what to really expect but there is a lot of depth here and it seems quite relaxing since no timers. Can you stop a run and continue later? That would be sweet. Fantastic job Reynad & team!
37:40 The way to balance that spear to not be as big of a swing for when you get it would be to have it scale less, but have a higher base. Or you could just have it gain base stats when it upgrades and not upgrade the scaling or upgrade the scaling less. But yeah, I think it's ok to have some high roll items like that. If you're lucky, it's fun to roll through enemies.
I gotta say, I like Reynad more and more everytime I see him! It's so good to see his perspective and guidance on his game! I'm SO EXCITED TO PLAY IT WHEN IT LAUNCHES!!!
1:22:56 The opponent seems to have had something that doubles the ddamage of ALL weapons in play. If you look, every one of your weapons was exactly double its damage last turn, and then went back to normal at the end of the fight. This game looks awesome. I really like the concept of it and some of the design choices. Cant wait until I can get in and give it a try myself. Personally, I love autobattlers, but it has become very stale lately. This is fresh and exciting. I'm here for it.
It’s beautiful, Reynad was unlucky in hearthstone, I currently get Mortdogged when I’m unlucky, and now, I can envision a future where Reynad will be the cause of all my unluckiness. I can’t believe I got Reynadded again
The Rarran and Reynad combo is just the nuts! Please bring so much more of this content as it's epic! You both always bring a smile to our faces. So excited to start playing too
I've always been in love with limited. In Hearthstone and Magic, but also stuff like backpack battles and TFT. With deckbuilding being the primary focus of a game I'm happy that generically powerful cards and opening the right rares is gonna be less of a feel-bad rng factor. And with the different classes all being viable in multiple playstyles and the bench I'm excited to not be pigeonholed into strict archetypes which punish you for speculating and staying open. Also the different classes reward you for having played in the past, compared to a TFT where you face a steep learning curve every set. On top of all that the asynchronous nature of the game lets you pivot at what you think is the perfect time without being gated by being able to do it under intense time pressure because you have a lot of reps failing it. I'm excited to see what crazy Johnny shenanigans can be pulled off, but even more so to see if Spikes can leverage their analytical flexibility in this game instead of just meta-experience like most deck builders.
The game looks so good, I cant wait to play it tomorrow! The only suggestion I can think of is: when you sell an item to a shop, there appears to be around 5 coins that fly into your coin pouch, regardless of how much you sold it for. It would be cool if the number of coins was correct. Or at the very least, dont do that animation when you sell an item for 0 gold
The game looks absolutely sick, cannot wait to get my hands on it. As a lover of roguelites i really hope they add a full roguelite mode into the game with boss fights (sorta like StS or the Hearthstone siege of dalaran type stuff)
I think it's really important for them to communicate to the player that some items work from your stash, hearing that shovel works from your stash was HUGE
I had some doubts but this game actually looks sick. As a backpack battles player it hits all the right spots while adding even better features. Reynad and his team really cooked with this one.
This far exceeded my expectations for the game, but it also made me realise that this is just another one of those roguelike card games, which there's an abundance of.
The difference is the volume of decision-making, card pool, and the asymmetric encounters provided by the builds of other players. The gameplay is not static, and as players become acquainted with the decision pool, the complexity of building a board that is both capable of supporting its win condition and surviving the opponents build grows.
One thing i love about this game and reynad is that he is making it for the love of this genre. He doesn’t care if people pull parallels and quite frankly relishes it.
What an amazing advertisement for the game. Honestly want to play it now. Also Reynad looked so happy and exited to do this, you can really see all of his passion for the game when he talks about it.
I love these styles of games and this seems like a ton of fun! Definitely sold me on checking out the Beta when it launches! Appreciate Reynad's design insights such as preventing the forced meta rerolls and think that is such a wise decision.
This has the possibility to comepletely win over the card game scene. It has so much potential and I do think they seem to have a healthy approach to it, that combined with the fact that it actually LOOKS and RUNS amazing means this is highly interesting come January!
This looks sick! As an old-school MTG drafter, this is the first card game in a while that feels like an evolution of the genre. Hope this succeeds, I'll def play it.
Raynad and Bazaar are probably not reading 1000s of comments but thought to leave my feedback. I think gameplay is really good, but I have a few nitpicks, but I haven't played a game so take it with a grain of salt. And half of these might be fixed in closed beta already lol. 1. Stash feels like it's too big, I would prefer it to be half the size. Right now it feels too easy and almost free to pivot, but that might also be because Rarran played small item build. I would still prefer stash to be smaller with skills or levelup abilities that lets you make it bigger if you want to go with landmark/effects from stash synergy. 2. For new players, there needs to be a way to inspect monsters before going to the event. I would prefer a button that opens battle screen and shows you what monster abilities are so you can inspect them. This would work only if items monster have aren't semi random. If they are it should show a popup on hover about which types of item they can have. Aquatic, poison etc. Just so new players know on what to click. 3. Gumball event. It shouldn't put gumballs in your stash but it should put them on the battlefield and make it so you can sell straight from battlefield. clicking 10 times to buy isn't a huge deal as it's gamba. But having to do 2 clicks to sell the item is tedious. And also you are missing on dopamine hit where you get gumballs appearing 1 by 1 on field. 4. Not sure if it's already implemented, but you should be able to sell from board and if the stash is full items shouldn't fizzle but instead put them on the battlefield. 5. Time manipulation buttons where you can speed up, pause or slow down time and option in settings to start each battle paused (that's on by default). Would be huge for new players so they can inspect and learn what monsters do. 6. End game screen to see weapons stats and which weapon was the strongest dps, heal etc. It's obvious with the spear in this battle, but I assume with burn or poison build it'll be hard to tell from just the numbers. I know Raynad said this is already coming but I really missed this for draft immersion. TLDR - overall I feel game already looks great and I can't wait to play it, just a couple new player onboarding nitpicks.

The fact that this will be a constant pool of cards, without any being cycled out is a big plus point for me, as it ensures that the cards and builds are carefully designed before release. I'm definitely looking forward to playing it upon release.
My only complaint is that that is clearly a cobra, not a viper
i've been playing A LOT of slay the spire recently, and just based off that I sat and watched this entire video with the biggest urge to play this game.
After this video I am beyond hyped for this game. This was amazing shoutout Reynad and Rarran, this is perfect to introduce someone.
Damn, I didn't think The Bazaar would actually be released in my lifetime. It actually looks pretty good too, from someone with zero game development experience. Pretty interesting.
I was ready to clown on reynad, but ngl this game actually looks like it could be dope.
The game looks cracked ngl. Visual and Sound Design are on point, tbf it seems very complex to get into but it also seems to have a lot of skill expression later on. Looks great Reynad!
Oh man, this is the first I'm hearing of a solid release date, and it's really not that far off. I'm so excited and also so happy for Reynad, to see this passion project come to fruition must be great :)
Reynad really is such a great dude, I'm glad this is working out and coming together.
Rarrans in the game! 0:41
THis game is so hype, I watched this video being my first exposure to this game and I just bought a supporter pack. It is so awesome to see a retired streamer put their vision into a project.
We actually got The Bazaar before GTA VI and I couldn't be happier
As someone who only barely kept up with this game (mostly due to these collabs with reynad) this is looking so much better than any previous build!
I was already kinda looking forward to it, but this seems like a far huger step into a roguelike esque combo. As probably one of the biggest fans of dungeon runs in hearthstone and roguelikes in general i am really happy with how this game turned out.
Tier 1 purchased and looking forward to the beta!
welcome to the bazaarian club
Also crazy to see Reynad come a long way from being a gamer to an actual game creator.
As someone that played hearthstone, and now plays TFT and slay the spire,... This game looks sick
Can't wait for you guys to check it out!
@@PlayTheBazaar Been playing it for a while. It is SO good
Really cool to grow up as a Reynad fan and to see him follow through on his goal as a dev. Clearly heavily involved in the process and proud of the product. Even if it sucks, I love to see him work and talk through his labor of love. Looking forward to playing it!
The art assets and general polish of the game is soooo sexy. Looks like The Bezaar might be a certified banger bois.
man, I am so happy you FINALLY tried this game out, not sure what takes you so long to play these games that are not out yet SMH
im already obsessed with this game. I cant wait for more bazaar content!!
Been watching Reynad’s career since early Hearthstone. The Bazaar looks great man, thanks for making it. I’m looking forward to playing it!
This looks amazing, props to Reynad and his team! I can't wait to play it when it's released.
I will be playing for sure! Thank you Reynad for all the time and effort you spent on this game.
Until this video I didn't actually truly understand what the loop was and what made it interesting. Now I get it and I purchased a Founders Pack, excited to play the Beta!
It's just another Backpack Battles..
@@ShadowletAnd why should you care? Are you worried that it’s going to kill your favorite game? Let the best game win!
Damn, this looks amazing! Didn't know what to really expect but there is a lot of depth here and it seems quite relaxing since no timers. Can you stop a run and continue later? That would be sweet. Fantastic job Reynad & team!
Ad far as I know you can leave at anytime and continue whenever you want
@@NimbusAbi That is fantastic. Definitely will give it a go when it comes out!
Or have it be a Large so it's harder to justify in the earlygame and less capable of snowballing.
I gotta say, I like Reynad more and more everytime I see him! It's so good to see his perspective and guidance on his game! I'm SO EXCITED TO PLAY IT WHEN IT LAUNCHES!!!
4:55 that's Tutorial NPC.
I'm here for it.
yes he had the "Glass Cannon" skill (top left skill with the diamond border). It doubles the damage of all weapons for both players
I'm not usually excited about other card games esp since dropping HS, but man this looks SO GOOD
i am so in love with this game already. U can tell it was made by someone that loved/has a passion for games. Thank u Reynad!
So excited to start playing too
Everything looks so good and mechanically sound! So stoked to actually play it.
I dont generally play games like this but I found myself watching the whole thing and enjoying it, looks really cool tbh
At last, the GOAT and some guy who was legend once.
🐐
This game takes everything I love from Slay the Spire and LoTR, adding PvP to the mix. It looks amazing!
As a lover of roguelites i really hope they add a full roguelite mode into the game with boss fights (sorta like StS or the Hearthstone siege of dalaran type stuff)
man 1:30h of just reynad's witty humor, this was amazing fun. it felt so nostalgic. game looks great too.
This unironically looks really fun, im into it
I think it's really important for them to communicate to the player that some items work from your stash, hearing that shovel works from your stash was HUGE
I just can't wait to play this! I really hope it comes out on Switch at some point, it seems like an awesome game to chill with it
I had some doubts but this game actually looks sick. As a backpack battles player it hits all the right spots while adding even better features. Reynad and his team really cooked with this one.
This was beautiful. Thank Reynad for making this game 🤩
Thanks for the first big look into the Bazaar. Been excited to play in a couple more days.
Holy shit it’s actually being released. I resigned this game to be a silksong situation - actually seeing polished gameplay genuinely gets me hype.
As a big fan of Ascension, which you should try at least once lol, I'm so looking forward to The Bazaar. I hope you decide to pick it up!
One thing i love about this game and reynad is that he is making it for the love of this genre. He doesn’t care if people pull parallels and quite frankly relishes it.
reynad seems to have taken a lot of inspiration from slay the spire game philosophy wise and I think I like that
What an amazing advertisement for the game. Honestly want to play it now. Also Reynad looked so happy and exited to do this, you can really see all of his passion for the game when he talks about it.
Can't wait for it
This looks incredible. The art and direction are excellent-can’t wait to try it out!!
my roguelike loving brain is tweaking rn
wish to see more of the bazar gameplay and seeing you 2 together on this and explaining to exerything is so fun and makes me hyped for the realse :)
Reynad looking like he belongs in a Swedish Melodic Death metal band.
I love these styles of games and this seems like a ton of fun! Definitely sold me on checking out the Beta when it launches! Appreciate Reynad's design insights such as preventing the forced meta rerolls and think that is such a wise decision.
Fucking awesome to see Reynads game, wish that man all the best and hope this takes off. looks solid to me
Can't wait to play this! Awesome sering Rarren playing the Bazaar finally!
this actually looks insanely fun, fair play
This is so epic!!! I'm saving this for home on the big screen, I'm so hyped to see this finally and with both of you!! 😁
I love the nuanced approach Reynad takes to game design along with him building the game he wants to play. Can't wait to get access!
This has the possibility to comepletely win over the card game scene. It has so much potential and I do think they seem to have a healthy approach to it, that combined with the fact that it actually LOOKS and RUNS amazing means this is highly interesting come January!
Looks like a sick game, will defo give it a try
This looks sick! As an old-school MTG drafter, this is the first card game in a while that feels like an evolution of the genre. Hope this succeeds, I'll def play it.
man i've been waiting for you to cover this. so excited to see what Reynad cooked here
Raynad and Bazaar are probably not reading 1000s of comments but thought to leave my feedback.
Nice that Reyrey actually follows Blake’s content.
