The WIFI options disappearing from all menus is one of the strangest and most infuriating issues I've ever encountered. I wanted to scream. -- Thank you Microsoft for your continued innovation and ease of use... -- Why couldn't there just be a pop up in the wifi menu saying "An issue has been encountered would you like to Reset your settings". Instead there just is no Wifi menu anymore. I even ran the WIZARD to diagnose network issues and it detected no problems. I felt like i was going crazy.

This may be a bit late so I hope you've already solved your problem, but something that worked for me was to just hold down the power button on my laptop for like 30 seconds for it to fully shut down. And then I just turned it on and the adapter was working again. I think you can either take out the battery from your laptop to fully shut it down or just hold the power button for a while like I did if you don't have a removable battery.
Yes this works for me but right after i went all the steps suggested above who coild have thought there was an easier way

I tried about a dozen different steps and none worked. The HP troubleshooter had me power off my laptop and unplug the power cord. On start-up, I had to press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. After start-up, I had to shutdown and wait 3 minutes before start-up. It worked!

None of them worked :< still, the wifi button is not present in the quick settings
What am I supposed to do if this happens everyday? Everyday I type "wifi not showing on window 11", find someone's video, follow the steps. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I've been doing this for the last 6 months. I know every method by heart and still search for new ways to fix this. I'm lucky if it gets fixed for the day but the next day I do this all over again. I have a Qualcomm atheros driver. It's so frustrating

These tips can work, but in my case they work sometime others they dont...i just discovered that especialy on LAPTOPS, the error can be resolved by UNPLUGGING the power supply cable. Just turn off your laptop, remove cable, restart on battery. Might work for some of you..even though it looks so silly! (just commenting after solving it lol)

My network adapter doesn't even show up. It's as if the update to Windows 11 just tossed out my drivers and internet capabilities. Tried all these videos and what they recommend, can't even match what they have on their screens from not having these options.

@@thatrandommhuman i was able to just re-download the drivers from the support website and it worked. Maybe try this method. Whenever you download it just open it and it should guide you through the installation. At least that happened with me.

@@ambergathings7160 i used a lan kable. Or you can upload it on a usb-stick from another computer and put it in the right folder.

This video helps. If none of those methods work try checking for updates in Windows 11 section of settings. It instantly connected for me.

The wifi option suddenly disappeared from my laptop 2 weeks back, including in my Network & Internet settings. I went through the steps in this video, various forums, as well as unplugging laptop and holding down power button, waiting for a few min. & restarting -- none of that was working. :( Forgot what led me to go back to trying to do a System Restore (clicked on the oldest date I could find before the wifi option disappeared) and IT WORKED!!! It took a long time for the System Restore to complete (I actually had to just let it run overnight and come back to it the next day), but once it finished, I went back to Settings -> Network & Internet and saw the Wifi option again. Hope this helps someone.

My wifi option disappeared when I upgraded/updated to win 11. I tried resetting my laptop to factory settings and updating again, walking through all the steps in this video and others like it, but still doesn't give me a wifi option.

I know it sounds unbelievable but I tried all of this too and none of it worked till I read an article that suggested shutting down the PC while holding down the shift button and it worked

The "Network reset" got my internet and Wi-Fi icon back. I was nervous pressing the "Reset now" because I was afraid it might ruin a hardware and make the situation worse, and of course it was an unfounded fear.

Yep stuck in windows 11 and can't go back I've tried a million different things and my wifi still doesn't show up I've fixed it a couple times but it disconnects randomly and then disappeared completely rip... Take me back to windows 10 pls 😭

If nothing works
1.Shut down your laptop
2.Power on and immediately force shut down with power button before completely booted
3.Laptop will start in repairing mode and will restore to previous workable version of itself
It works.I found this after a day of agony.

Once my laptop mouse and touchpad was disabled and then i felt like an it guywhen i figured out how to navigate everything just by buttons and actualy press all the settings that turns my touchpad on😂😂😂

Nothing worked for me...I just force shut down my laptop by pressing the power button for 10-15 sec and left it for 2-3 hours and after that it worked the wifi option is back

Guys pls long press power button for 30 seconds and wait for laptop to shut down (dont connect with charger) and then once it shuts down then open it again... problem should be resolved. It worked for me

OMG God bless you brother 🙏🙏🙏. I was trying to solved this from more then 1h i almost gave up and was going to reset entire computer but i decided to watch just 1 more tutorial and boom it's solved now 🤩🤩🤩🤩.
It completely made my computer go into a black screen.

Hold the power button for a little longer and then release it. Then click that again. It will work.

Thanks for your suggestion. We can do it in last method, set from command prompt.
Instead of updating the driver try "roll-back" driver option. It will restore the old driver, which was working just fine.
