This would have been even more surprising as Athena is one of the few gods whom Aphrodite's power cannot affect (perhaps because our judgement can be impaired when it comes to love, and that'd be bad for a goddess of wisdom), so watching Athena _willingly_ show vulnerability to her would have made it clear just how much Odysseus's fate mattered to her.

The stare Athena gives when Ares shows up is just AMAZING!!! My favorite part!! Also love how both Athena and Ares design are simillar yet diferent, since they are brother and sister and represent two sides of war!!
Oh man, this is so fire!! And Athena taking off the shadow when trying to get through to Aphrodite, by being something she usually is not is really cool! Also, I will die praising anything pointing to Ares and Aphrodite actually being lovers and how fast he jumped up to her during Athena's answer is so adorable! Like, sure, Greek gods' morality is very skewed but I really like this humane aspect of their bond, that since they're lovers they got to have affection for one another... So kudos to you for that, really loved it! Not to mention the ending with Athena's smile mirroring on Odysseus' silhouette and then this phantom arrow actually flying by... It's just such a cool visual for this lyric! I'm not sure if you plan to animate God Games once they come out but I really loved this snippet in your interpretation and I HAVE TO see the rest of your stuff so... bye!
I REALLY like your drawing style, the images and clothes of the characters, the folds of clothes and their shadows, the small elements of their images. And this shot, when Odysseus pulls the bow, and Athena seems to openly patronize him...Oh my God. More precisely, oh my goddess, it is. simply. It's fucking amazing.
Oh man! This has to be my favorite version of God Games with Aphrodite & Ares as you incorporated Ody in the argument as silhouettes and also had Athena show just how terrifying she truly believes Ody will be to 'fulfill' Area need for blood shed. Also enjoyed how she lowered her war life demeanor when was just trying to talk to Aphrodite personally until Ares interrupted. I love this~!
Wow. I've never seen Athena depicted as deranged/bloodlustful before. That face... 1:12 ~{:D Terrifying. I can see why those two agreed so fast XD. Love how Athena's helmet can hide and unhide her face. Also, goopy black shapeshifting _Chef's kiss_ gotta love it. Really well done and unique take.
So awesome! I love Aphrodite's outfit, and how Athena showed them the future of what Odysseus is going to do to the 'suitors' once he returns home. ^_^ I also really liked the parallel between Ares and Athena being both war gods and their face not being visible, but Athena still showed it when she was begging Aphrodite, as a show of vulnerability. Awesome detail ^_^
I love this one, definitely tied with the AnniFlamma version (my absolute favorite one thus far). I love how you had the faces of Athena and Aries covered in shadow, but had Athena show her face to try and better relate to Aphrodite. I also love how we see Aphrodites first reaction to seeing Athena in the mirror. And another thing I love is how you have the "spirit"? Odysseus lined up with Athena and shooting the arrow. Great job!!!
I love that when Athena says ‘he’ll make everybody bleed’ ody is INFRONT of her wielding a bow and arrow. Because in the Odyssey, Penelope held a contest for the suitors saying ‘whoever can string and shoot with Odysseus’s bow, I’ll marry them’, none of the suitors could do it. But then Odysseus in Athena’s disguise ,when he finally got home, asked if he could try-he strung the bow and shot it perfectly. Athena then took the disguise off Ody and he was revealed to Penelope-then Ody and Telemachus killed the suitors 🤩 (fun fact; he uses the same bow to kill Antinous and some of the other suitors 🙌)
Athena actually says “he’ll make everybody bleed” foreshadowing the up coming massacre in Odysseus’ palace when he kills all of Penelope’s suitors as you mentioned. Athena promised Ares he’d get more bloodshed and our boy odysseus will soon deliver lol
Why is no discussing the awesome thing of Aphrodite’s reflection in the mirror? Idk if this is intentional or not but it gives off the vibe that they’re two separate beings. Like the reflection’s eyes are letting the actual Aphrodite know that Athena has entered, and she knows (or at least, believed) that the Goddess of War can’t win this. And I love it.
@@makaramuss it’s literally in the lyrics to her first song. “Warrior of the Mind”. And there can be more than one God of war. Just like how Apollo is God of the Sun and Helios is the Sun God. I'm sorry but Ares entrance makes me laugh everytime because something about that voice saying "Ares" just sound so strained(?) and it's just weirdly funny to me
It’s edited. The “Ares” is said by Athena and its kinda warped. Apparently it’s(shown in the short that Jorge posted) supposed to be something about Ares using his powers to get into Athena’s mind. It’s not in this animatic, but in a lot of them, you can see Athena grasp her head as if she has a headache.
Additionally most of the animations show it via the color shading like it's blue in the beginning for Athena and turns red in that ares moment@@ThatOneNerdInCabin13

I'm not sure if you plan to animate God Games once they come out but I really loved this snippet in your interpretation and I HAVE TO see the rest of your stuff so... bye!
Eldritch horror athena was not on My bingo card for today but I accept it
Athenas Death Stare was so goooooood 😍
Ooooh I love their faces overlapping
1:01 They look really beautiful together
I REALLY like your drawing style, the images and clothes of the characters, the folds of clothes and their shadows, the small elements of their images. And this shot, when Odysseus pulls the bow, and Athena seems to openly patronize him...Oh my God. More precisely, oh my goddess, it is. simply. It's fucking amazing.
0:37 Aphrodite is 10000%simpin for ares hard at this point you can see she’s biting her lip
I love the pfp
Athena really gave a death stare when Ares showed up
I love how barbaric and intimidating Ares’s design looks
Wow. I've never seen Athena depicted as deranged/bloodlustful before. That face...
1:12 ~{:D
Terrifying.
I can see why those two agreed so fast XD.
Love how Athena's helmet can hide and unhide her face. Also, goopy black shapeshifting _Chef's kiss_ gotta love it.
Really well done and unique take.
i love how the portrayal of your aphrodite ohh
You made Athena feel very majestic and mysterious in her own way and I love it. And also, your style it's so smooth it soothes me
that lip bite Aprodited gave to ares🤭
when?
@@Nuzi4life-yes 0:37 small lip bite shes giving
This is amazing! I love the illusions of Odysseus and his mother. Especially when it overlaps with Athena’s face.
I love cosmic horror Athena you got a NEW sub
I love how Aphrodite always has a blush
Ody and Athena's face overlapping is soooo cool and chilling! You are an absolute genius❤
Love your Ares design. The giant spikes on the shoulders and the tusks on the helmet create. Really interesting silhouette
Ares's mask kinda looks like a boar's head and I love that
I love this one, definitely tied with the AnniFlamma version (my absolute favorite one thus far).
Athena then took the disguise off Ody and he was revealed to Penelope-then Ody and Telemachus killed the suitors 🤩
(fun fact; he uses the same bow to kill Antinous and some of the other suitors 🙌)
And I love it.
wisdom*
athena is goddess of wisdom.
@@makaramuss War too. It’s even in the lyrics. “Goddess of Wisdom. Master of War.”
@@mikeyann2493 she is goddess of wisdom and peace bro
Sure she is a master at war because of wisdom but god of war is literally Ares
@@mikeyann2493 also... Which lyrics? Because this thing isnt fully relased I might not be following but does song say that?
@@makaramuss it’s literally in the lyrics to her first song. “Warrior of the Mind”. And there can be more than one God of war. Just like how Apollo is God of the Sun and Helios is the Sun God. Just a quick google search will tell you that she is indeed Goddess of War. Ares is God of war, yes, but that doesn’t mean Athena is not one as well.
@@BloodqueenLeonie Yea that too
Love your designs for Athena and Ares. I'm getting bird vibes from Athena with the little wings near the eyes and the beak-like point over her nose. Then there are boar tusks on Ares' helmet which was a great nod to one of his more well-known sacred animals. I also love that the use of sharp angles to tie Athena and Ares together visually as war gods.
One thing I can almost never find while looking for drawings fan art and stuff like that of Aphrodite is her red hair and this isn't exactly the real color her hair would have been but it's closed and I'm happy about it
LOVE Ares being protective of Aphrodite.
Aphrodite's married... and not to Ares.
@@shadowrath1388 I know?
@@shadowrath1388 they got divorced after the Golden Net incident
@@jessnalulila5552 Huh. Never heard that version, interesting.
I absolutly adore Athena´s design!!
So far i had been playing all over again the "This is the way" animatic and im so glad i get to see her design again! now with even a lot more of phases!
This has to be the most beautiful depiction of Aphrodite I've ever seen.
I Love the death glare the moment Ares appears
The animation is just *chef’s kiss*
Ahhh having his mother in the song really brings the heartbreak home 😭 Fantastic choice. I'm really falling for your animations!!!
Chefs kiss all around. The designs are immaculate.
HOLY CRAP THIS IS AMAZING!! THE MOVEMENTS?? THE CHARACTER DESIGN?? THE COLOURS?? YOU KNOCKED IT OUTTA THE PARK THIS IS SO GOOD!! I absolutely love Athena’s design with the armor but the markings on her face and also the tusk-like design for Ares’ helmet- you captured their personalities so well oh this is awesome!!!
Oh really cool use of the silhouette with Athenas face
WHY ARE WE IGNORING ATHENA SAYINH HIS SONS HER FROEND??? LIKE WHEN SHE TRIED TO SAY THOSE ARE A WASTE OF TIME ITS SO AHH
I do like the fact that Ares insulting Telemachus is what triggers Athena's second wind. "You leave the boy out of this, he's got to worry about."
i love how sinister athena looks at 1:10 and the overlay of odysseus is 💯💯💯💯💯 promise of more bloodshed to come and ody knows better now than to rebuff her 👀
The theme ares has in his introduction just repeating his name. That is how you introduce him proper.
Ares and Aphro were look like a bunch of kids when Athena started throwing tantrum 😁
I love how Ares protects Aphrodite here!
Amazing animatic!! Loved the end part with Odysseus' being an archer 🏹
Oohhh! This is beautiful! Love the interpretation! Especially Aphrodite's heart shaped earings showing her role as the goddess of love and how Ares has tusks or something similar near his helmet, really gives off the tough guy vibes!
Also also the scene at 1:09 just fits so much like aaaaaaa
One of Ares ‘animals’ was a Boar so it makes even more sense than just tough guy
@@Synthesyn342 oh, I didn't know that, that makes a lot of sense, thanks for sharing!
One thing I love about your Ares design is the tusks on his helmet. Is this meant to be symbolic of how one of his sacred animals is a boar? If so, I love it. It’s a great design overall.
I love Athena's design here!!
OMG OMG OMG- this is so well done and gorgeous!! I love the gods designs, especially Athena’s. Super creative how she can choose when to show her face, that’s a great touch. Somehow its rlly funny to me how as soon as Ares insults Telemachus, Athena just ABSOLUTELY LOOSES IT- XD
OMG just when I think your art and animatics have reached their peak, you blow it out of the water every time! The way Odysseus's silhouette is superimposed over Athena's at the end gave me shivers.
(also Athena really became the three states, solid, liquid and gas lol)
Athena’s design is great!
best and most original ares design ive seen so far
I loved that you made the arrow strike the wall in time with the music
I LOVE these designs! They portray the characters very well (I’ve never seen anyone give Ares boar tusks before which I really like) you have incredible skill
Love the floating shadow form for Athena when she's angry
Ares looks like total badass dude 😱
the patterns on athena's face look like spiderman 2099 and it fits surprisingly well
Your designs for the gods are amazing! All of them look so cool!
