For this video its the 3 amigos again and we're on a mamoth 5 day session on one of the hardest lakes in the country - swan lake on the bluebell lakes complex.
Great entertainment Chris ( watching in Tenerife) just what I needed after doing sod all all day. Can't say you didn't try blimey you went top middle and bottom and you never gave up. I will look forward to the next one so until then take care.
Never mind Chris, Great watch though really enjoyed it.... I've just had a three day blank at Sandmartin :-( and my mates caught on the first 24 hours 3 visits to Bluebells and 3 blanks for me.
I think Sandmartin might be a good winter water but I'm not a fan of just fishing margins in the summer probably wont be so quick to get back on that one.
Yet another great blog mate, better than watching tv! Seriously. Just wondered when hitting the clip is a preferable to have rod up high or to the side as see differing methods between you & lee/simon. Cheers
Mark Britton cheers. if you need to feel the "donk down" then up high. if you already know wot ur fishing over and just need to hit the clip for distance then to the side is fine.
You say that about the zigs Chris confidence ect I never had any confidence in zigs till a few weeks ago when I took the advice of tom maker 11:30 pm pitch black black foam at 10ft resulted in a take black foam at night though zig takes are very cute though only had a single beep and the bobbing ever so slightly started moving towards the alarm still not my thing though but definitely have some sort of confidence to cast one out
great viewing gents so thanks very much, I'm local to the bluebell complex and have done ok on sandmartin, I have never fished swan or kingfisher as I cannot bear the thought of losing one of those special fish due to the barbless rule so be brutally honest gents........ did you all fish barbless and did you gets checked?
thanks chris, nobody else seems to be able to put a number on how many are in there either, we are thinking of having one of our yearly socials there but its obviously a hardish water so i'm not sure?.
yeah we like the size of the fish but there are around 15 of us and it's nice to get somewhere most would catch, catching probably more important than size really although somewhere with a few 40's would be nice...lol
Lawrence Tatler nah just my phone. It's actually well known in my blogs now as when it goes off I just leave it in as it's funny when people don't know what it is.

how is your session going at the moment?
31.40 in & there's only a head & rod floating mid-air. Think the place is haunted
Mark Britton lol
unlucky lads, I have a question please chris, roughly how many fish in swan and how many acres is the lake?
Mark Carp no idea on stocking mate. But at a guess about 15-20 acres.
thanks chris, nobody else seems to be able to put a number on how many are in there either, we are thinking of having one of our yearly socials there but its obviously a hardish water so i'm not sure?.
Mark Carp definitely not a runs water. But the potential rewards are massive!!
yeah we like the size of the fish but there are around 15 of us and it's nice to get somewhere most would catch, catching probably more important than size really although somewhere with a few 40's would be nice...lol
