I bought this attachment that kinda looks like the end of an open ended wrench. It attaches to a slide hammer. You ease it over the end of the axle next to the tranny, couple bumps with the slide hammer and out pops the axle. Helps with not having to deal with that splash shield most of the time.
I gotta put an alternator and a starter on my town and country I wish you were closer I'd have you do it for me lol but I'll wind up doing it getting to cripple to work on my crap pile lmao.
If the cv is being replaced to go get rebuilt just push in and then a quick short pull, it will come out no prob. No need to get special tools or crawl under the vehicle.Btw i feel your pain working outdoors!
Hey man love the content . You were one of the people that actually got me to setup and start doing mobile job but Im have trouble pricing jobs I don’t wana be under pricing my self but I also don’t wana lose the customer! How do you go about pricing your jobs …. If you have a video about it my bad I didn’t see it
I have alldata I pay monthly subscription and use there labor book so say u have a starter job for ford f150 and the book says labor time is 2 hours well thats $200, because I charge $100 per hour first starting I charged $60 per hr so it would have been $120. But if you dont want to pay. Go to yourmechanic.com and use there free quote. Type in year make and model and whatever part your fixing and they will give you a quote for parts and labor. I ignore the part price because its high and just use there labor price and whatever the labor is thats what you charge
Hey good video and i have a question...When you torque the axle nut i heard its supposed to be tightened to "sepc" while the wheel is back on and on the ground with the weight of the vehicle.. is this correct?
@@semperfimechanic but if you can give a list of tools you need. Hopefully some of the subs can help you out. Don't want to send you stuff and take up to much space.
The rule of thumb replace one side replaced the other side if you can afford it that goes for just about any part you put on your vehicle that is what my dad taught me back in the day when I was younger when I was a teenager working on cars with my dad
Gotta love it when you show up to do the job and it has a security lug nut on it and no one has the lug key!
