My favorite Titanic fact is that Neil Degrasse Tyson complained that the Star Field was not correct for that date. So in the remastered version, they fixed it so the stars were correct.
The revelation about Gil's species in "Finding Nemo" is just more evidence that Pixar's greatest villain is the Dentist. The little girl who shakes the bag is just that: a little girl. She doesn't understand what she's doing. The Dentist just keeps giving her animals though, even though she keeps killing them. He also took a fish that can't survive in a small tank, I'm guessing just because it looked cool.
In I Walk The Line, Johnny Cash is shown walking through the tour bus. He takes a lit cigarette out of his sleeping guitar players hand. A very subtle reference to the fact that the guitar player would soon die in a fire started in the exact same manner.
The Shawshank Redemption - Andy Dufresne escapes in 1966, the year Miranda rights were introduced into the arrest process. When the police arrive and arrest Hadley the officer reads the Miranda rights from a piece of paper - Miranda was so new at the time the police needed a note of the correct words to say.
Absolutely the gun handling skills of Val Kilmer in Heat. He bangs his gun's magazine on the car bumper to seat the bullets before reload which is an accurate portrayal. The tactics for moving and covering each other that DeNiro and Kilmer use is also very accurate to military tactics use to break out of an ambush (which is what the cops essentially do to the criminals).
The technical consultant on that film was Andy McNab. He's ex SAS and famous for his disaster of a mission 'Bravo Two Zero'. Guys a bellend but he can train hollywood guys to do basic skills and drills.
Mine is actually Blue Beetle - when Jaime saw his father’s “ghost” you can see the path of marigolds and candles that leads to the afterlife in Mexican culture. A small detail, but it was really striking and my favorite part of an otherwise not great movie
In the movei "13 Days" there was a coconut husk on JFKs desk. This is accurate as the real JFK kept the coconut husk he wrote a message on when he and his shipmates were shipwrecked during WW2. One thing I noticed in the TV show "WKRP in Cincinnati", Johnny was broadcasting from a stereo shop when someone held the place up with a handgun. Johnny talked the gun away from him and when he proceeds to correctly unload and clear it while showing proper trigger discipline.
T. E. Lawrence admitted to his biographer Robert Graves that he could read "not one bloody word" of Arabic. In the film he is shown both reading and writing it. Still, a truly beautiful movie with great acting.
the sniper in saving private ryan do'es not change the zero, the zero is adjusted by turning the turrets in the middle of the scope what he changes is the parallax on the front lense that give a clearer picture which helps with range finding so he knows his aim off and hold over or under whichever is needed
As many times as I have seen Pulp Fiction, I didn’t know that. Helps explain all those trips to the bathroom, however, the one that led to his demise was because of sheer stupidity.
Here's another fun background detail: while unverified, it seems likely that Tarantino's character, Jimmie, is the son of Christopher Walken's character, Captain Koons, who mentioned his son, Jim. There are so many elements crediting patterns in separate segments, as well as connecting each story that it seems plausible to be one of them. Like, another superficial detail is that Flowers On the Wall (mentions Captain Kangaroo) playing on the radio after Butch retrieved his watch from the porcelain kangaroo.
At the end of "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World", when the crew is in unison reciting the Lord's Prayer over their shipmates that have fallen in battle, Paul Bettany's character Dr. Maturin stops speaking while the rest of the crew continues with the closing phrase, "For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever." This makes sense because Paul Bettany's character is Irish and presumably Catholic, while the rest of the English shipmates are all most likely Protestant.
For God's sake, man! It's not "Henry Fifth ", it is Henry THE Fifth. Honestly, it is like listening to real life Ron Burgundys when it comes to Whatculture videos 😢
In The Conjuring, Ed and Lorraine’s clothing often have matching fabrics, such as her skirt and his tie and pocket square, the implication being Lorraine made these pieces herself.
Sitting around for hours of fun with family & friends playing Monopoly?? I like Monopoly.. but I don't think I've ever been part of a game where someone didn't get salty and devolve into argument

The scope changing in "Saving Private Ryan" is just bizarre and kind-of impossible, considering that they had different mounting rails and fittings. I guess that Jackson could have used either duct tape or carried two different rifles, to be able to use the incompatible gear?
I found it interesting that the sniper was left-handed, but I guess there were only right-handed rifles. Despite that delay it takes him to turn the rifle to reload, he is still faster than any other shooter.
I really appreciated the Lawrence of Arabia info. It was a movie that once i finally saw thought was incredibly oversimplified and whitewashed. It's nice to know someone gave a shit.
What about Lawrence of Arabia was 'whitewashed''? I haven't seen the film for many years but Lawrence was white and so were many of his colleagues and military associates. Many of the Arabs and North Africans were played by locals from Jordan, Morocco and Syria. While some of the North African/Arab leads were from Mexico, Puerto Rico, India etc. Omar Sharif himself, was born in Egypt, so none of those parts are played by white actors and I fail to see the whitewashing you claim is there.
Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan), also had a bruised thumb (Known as Garand thumb) bc thumbs getting caught in the loading mechanism of M1 Garands... Common injury in WW2
In American Gangster, Denzel holds the cup of coffee awkwardly when he gets out of jail. This was to show how real life Frank Lucas developed arthritis.

The monopoly ad reminds me how the entire point of Monopoly has been COMPLETELY missed by so many people smh
Unfortunately, Monopoly isn't alone in this kind of thing.

Except in real life, the effect is the opposite. Opioids cause people to use the bathroom less often.
Having had a brief foray into heroin land a long long time ago I'm kind of shocked that didn't occur to me. 😂

For the monopoly add:
His name is Ritch Uncle Pennybags, not "Mr.Monopoly"
His name is Milburn, Rich Uncle is a nickname, and he also goes by Mr Monopoly. Just google it my dude.

Gotta appreciate earning money but that ad took forever for what is essentially a forgettable monopoly game
The ending of Titanic looks like its final destination was the Overlook Hotel.
I thought you meant Final Destination as in the movie series; considering how varied and brutal the deaths in the movie are, it seemed logical. lol
Timothee Chalumet as an English king, and Robert Pattinson as a French king took me out of Henry 5th.
It was the historical inaccuracy that did it for me, though the dodgy English accent didn’t help.
