    sir I am 2026 JEE ASPIRANT, you asked why anode rays depend on gas , as different element give different cation for example: Ne----->(Ne+) + e , He----->(He+) + e where else in cathode ray all the element will produce same anion(e-) these is the reason why it depends upon gas sir

      Bro, can we say that it depends upon the gas presented in it because of less mass compared to electron, since e/m?

    Use of different gases give different types of positive rays, which contain particles having different masses and different charges. Therefore, the (e/m) ratio is not constant for positive ray particles obtained from different gases.

  • @raredesk123

    Since anode rays are created by the gas that is brought into the tube, their existence is determined by it. If various gases produce different types of positive rays, each of it contains particles of varying mass and charge. As a result, the anode's charge to mass ratio is affected by the steam.

    ANODE RAYS ARE POSITIVELY CHARGED AND THESE DEPEND ON THE GAS PRESENT IN THE CATHODE RAY TUBE . ❤

  • @AkshitaShreenidhi
    @AkshitaShreenidhi Місяць тому +1

    The answer for the question .....anode rays contains nucleus which comprises proton and neutron , charge of the nucleus depends on no of protons whereas mass depends on both proton and neutron ....example let's take a nucleus it contains 5 protons and 5 neutrons the ratio becomes 5/10 ...now an isotope of the same nucleus containing 5 protons , 6 neutrons the ratio comes as 5/11 which makes it not constant for all elements. cathode rays consist only of electrons which makes the charge and mass same and the ratio constant

    Cathode rays are (-) negative charged ,
    Therefore it doesn't depends on the nature of gas where it is (+) or (-) because ..
    Cathode rays = ( - ) charged
    Cathode rays (-) + negatively charged gas (-) = (-)
    Cathode rays (-) + positively charged rays (+) = (-)
    Therefore it doesn't depends on nature of gas.
    While
    Anode rays are positively charged
    Anode rays (+) + positively charged gas (+) = (+)
    But if
    {(Less amount)Anode rays (+) + (more amount )negatively charged gas (-) = "(-)"
    If anode rays are more than negatively charged gas there is no problem .(+) +(-)=(-)
    But if the negatively charged gas is more than anode means , (+) +(-) =(-) }
    Therefore it depends upon the nature of gas ..
    This is My point of view ,I don't know whether it is true or not
    But I haven't searched Google.....,,,,

    @TGF_100 Рік тому +9

    These positive ions are created by gaseous discharge tube. The anode rays consists of ionised gas molecule, which even if had the same charge may have different charge to mass ratio causing to change the nature of anode rays. So the anode rays dpend on the nature of gas.

    Cathode rays are produced due to ionisation of the gas and that it is created by collision of positive ions so it doesn’t depend on the nature of the gas
