  • My process of trimming medium bowls might have changed forever with the introduction of this ‪@DiamondCoreTools‬ sticky pad. It’s placed on the wheel-head, which I wipe clean of dust and dry, then the rubbery material is stuck in place and then the bowl positioned over it.
So far so good, I spent a day trimming 50 bowls with it and only had to head over to the sink to wash a few times as the surface started getting quite dusty, which caused the vessel not to stick down so neatly.
It prevents me using three pieces of soft clay to tack the bowl down, which ultimately isn’t a huge change but it easily saves 10-15 seconds per bowl, if not longer, if the pot has to be removed mid trimming and positioned down in place again. New year, new tools, I can’t wait to find out more ways of using it.
