Porsche 356 Frunk Sound Insulation Install - My Back Hurts!

- More factory Porsche sound insulation materials installed in my 356. These materials are not easy to work with, but lets hope they work well to control sound and vibration. This time I tackled the front trunk area under the gas tank. By the way, what should I do about the gas tank sender mishap by Porsche.
Here is the contact adhesive I use:

The comment you made regarding the detail work you do was so true. If this work is done by someone who is paid, it would cost a bloody fortune. Your attention to the details is simply amazing.
True, the costs escalate in a hurry. I often look at the great restoration pics that Willhoit puts on his website. There's a red 64 Carrera on there that used the same kit. If you look carefully at the frunk insulation you can see where they trimmed and didn't touch up! Makes me smile. Willhoit is one of the best shops in the world.
Cant wait to see this on the road!!
Me neither!
Good job on the kink repair.
The hood kink? That was tough! Complete de-skin
Great work Tom. My back started to ache just watching. :-) Your attention to detail is the reason I love your channel. Keep up the great work. Cheers.
I feel better now, ha ha. Thx as usual!
@4:55 that is the tube that the fresh air box drain hose goes to. You will want to install the hose before you install your fresh air horns.
Thanks Doug, I know what you mean now that you mention it. Thanks for the correction🙏
Wow. Nice fab work on the shell. Your careful fitting and gluing looks great.
Thanks👍. So much rust repair on this one!
More great work, Tom. Your attention to those small details will pay off big time - little things like blackening the cut edges even though they will probably be hidden.
Thanks Dan. There's a bug plastic cover that covers the entire trunk, but when that's out you can see these edges.
👌🏻
👍
So glad to be the first.
Where did you get the frunk insulation kit from?
It's from a local supplier in southern California. Email me is you need more info. No website or info online
