Great seeing the Shred nearing completion, I would add to your comments about sharing as much of who you are in the video, my boys and I met you at patreon ride in FL at Santos, you were super nice and took time to talk to everyone. At one point I was off from the group ride and my boys told me about how you stopped to check on them as they waited for me to catch up, it made an impression on them and me. Enjoying watching your adventure, hope to "see you on the trail" again some day.
Your comments about this trail were the same thoughts that I had about it when I rode 103 miles in four days with full autumn color last month! It is an incredible trail!
I have a lot of family up there. I toured the whole state in one week in August. It was great. It’s such a forgotten place. It’s all flat and green near Fargo, but looks like Utah out where BKXC was. Everything in between is wide-open prairie. I actually went to Medora and hiked some of the trails where he was. I wish I had known there were mountain bike trails. :)
Your videos give me different thoughts after everyday life. Love your attitude, values and passion and that you are real. Your comments are never boring. Thanks for brightening my day🤩
I get the pleasure of riding that trail on the weekly basis. There are many beautiful sections. However You road the best section with ur time constraint. Keep up the great work, and thank you for being an incredible ambassador for the Mtn Bike Community
Since you know the trail, is the stuff that was ridden in this video part of the MDH 25 bike race? I'm doing it in a bit more than a week here and I'm trying to get a feel for what it'll be like.
I just went to this trail and just so happened to do the exact same route as you. It's honestly world class. The trail maintenance did get worse as we went on, but still super fun and beautiful.
This was so informative for me. How u breathe or scream is because u don't try to use ur breaks thank you. I never knew what ur hypes meant. Keep that up
Love the "video cards" of these trails. Nice to see also the trailheads, and local people as guides. Regarding negative comments, this is why we have two ears, one goes in , other out.
I work with Kelly Magelky’s brother Russ in Colorado. For a short period in my life I lived just east of this trail a little north of where your ride took place. It’s an amazing area in the bad land area of North Dakota.
This brings back memories! Did this trail with a friend in 2001. It was absolutely miserable in the peak of summer. Our guide was a 12 year old who did not seem too bothered by the heat and was obviously bored having to wait for us constantly. We also had two flats during the ride and after the ride we were greeted by a massive thunderstorm that flooded our tent. We stayed in the car till dawn and then headed back home. We did pick up an angry carnie on the side of the road who had enough of the circus. Anyone who is reading this, do this trail in the fall and check the weather. I would love to go back someday, under better circumstances it’s worth it.
Dude, you are so friendly, I cant help but smile the whole time. Awesome videos!!! Keep it up and ignore the negative people, life is too short to give a f***.
Never change your formula... you have the best MTB channel on UA-cam. Another youtuber I really liked to watch changed his formula, I guess because he thought it would make his vids seem more professional... I don't even watch his channel anymore.
Just discovered your channel and have been binging your videos. Great stuff. Have to say - I've never seen trails with so much horse crap! Keep it up! Love the content!
Keep up the good work and ignore the negative commenters. Thanks for posting this video btw. I'm always looking for cool trails in each state for vacations.
I can't understand why people have disliked on this video, if you don't like it don't watch it, obviously it's jealous people who have their own channels hating on it. Keep up the good work Brian.
loving your videos and the 50 state tour. its very inspiring, and coming from the UK it makes me really want to come visit the states. keep up the excellent work fella.
The reason i watch your channel is because you are relatable. No offense but you aren't a super skilled rider by that i mean you are doing massive jumps or crazy tricks you are definitely a good rider but you ride like how i would ride if you know what i mean. You to places where i would like to go and you see places that ive never heard of but now they are on my to do list! That is why I watch and will continue to watch you!
actually, he is waaayyyy super skilled in that he knows how to hadle and control the bike, and anticipate turns, braking etc.... sending jumps is not the only upper level skill to have. If I had 1/1000th of his body strength and climbing skills, I would be happy!!
@@str8edgbmxr641 Read my comment again. I clearly stated what i meant when i said "super skilled" . Never said he wasn't a good rider obviously he is but his skill set is more aligned with what I said i thought i could strive for. Not once did i insult him or his skills. I complimented him because he is relatable.
I just keep coming back for the great rides, little stories and insight into the riding life. Thank you for doing this and keep the ride going. Cheers!
Nice scenery! Reminds me of my home riding in Lethbridge Alberta Canada! Come up here if you want more of that action. Love your POV rides especially when it’s snowing the trails are unrideable!
Would love to bikepack that 150 mile trail. I'm going to see if I can make it happen, so thanks for pointing that out.. I'm glad you always keep it real. As for negative comments, I don't like them either. What has negativity ever done for anyone. See you in Montana, I can't wait
I always find it odd that a dog owner has to pick up the dog poop on the trail however a horse owner doesn't have to put a poop bag on a horse and everyone is just accepting of horse poop on a trail.
I raced the MDH Buck50 this year. I made it 22 miles of the 150. Ill try again next year. It was my first ultra. You should come back and do more of the trail.
I was there in August. I can’t believe that there were MTB trails there and I didn’t know about them. I guess I’ll have to trek out there again one day.
I visited Maah Daah Hey back in '02 and did the whole trail North to South via shuttle with a friend. It was great! Then we did the Buffalo Gap Loop and that was even better. Lunch and beers at Oli's Ranch. I wonder if that place is still there.
This is so much more beautiful than I imagined ND to be.
It's not beautiful. I have lived here for 10 years. Have you ever seen the ocean?
It’s very satisfying when you slide the state into all the other ones on your magnetic map
I raced in the Maah Daah Hey 100 this summer for the first time. It was the most challenging and rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Pumped for next year!
Good for you bud 🏅
Gravel bike race? Or xc
This is by far my favorite trail of the shred series. Amazing and beautiful country. I dream about trails like that.
I watch primarily for the scenery. Keep biking scenic stuff and I'll keep watching.
Don’t stop what you’re doing Brian, one of the more genuine channels on all of your tube. Not just MTB channels.
The diversity of our states is Incredible. We are lucky. ✌
Out of all the trails you've shown that was probably my favorite. The views were absolutely stunning.
Wow, Brian that was absolutely stunning ride, the trail fantastic, the views mind blowing. This is awesome
Its Satisfying when your state is in a video

Very nice muntan nice and cool cycling
What an awesome compliment to the state. As a former resident it was cool to hear that and see the video. Thanks for posting it and saying that B.
Both my Parents grew up in ND and it is a really beautiful place in it's own way. Really cool to see BKXC out there!

I have not missed one of the 50 state shreds and gotta say these probably are the best so far.
Amazing to watch your video. You are doing them great . Looking forward for more. I saw you visited Czech Republic last year .....nice
Both so soothing to watch and so much anxiety 😂 love it.
This looks incredible, thanks for sharing. I'm adding a bike packing trip out here to my post-pandemic travel wishlist.

Lol "how much are they feeding those horses!?" Before you said it was thinking the exact same, never seen so much deuce on a trail before 🤣
I always find it odd that a dog owner has to pick up the dog poop on the trail however a horse owner doesn't have to put a poop bag on a horse and everyone is just accepting of horse poop on a trail.
It definitely is a dream come true job and I can only applaud you for making it happen.
That was a cool trail Brian. An ebike ride would be awesome on it. I love the views and the scenery. Thanks, Bob T.
REALLY different terrain there. Thats what I like about the shred is to see how it is all over our great country.

My favorite trail so far. Stop and look in creeks for arrow heads or newly cultivated dirt. I found a hide scraper in my front yard.
What beautiful ride!
