@@DylanoRevs even then, real life MBTs would have machine guns on them to deal with infantry, but the only things that come close in this game is the Paladin’s laser and the Overlord with the gatling cannon upgrade

its not that the human is immune to the big booms, the idea is that a human is a target thats to tiny for tanks to hit easily and also to give a bit more survivability to the infantry in this game.

Yes, i garrison them in my technicals that i stole once i get to their position. nothing really happens when you save them but i do value all of my soldiers lives

I think there's a way. I've noticed that the GLA will immediately kill the hostages once you approach them nearly so I think you can use the Nuke cannon to take care of the GLA units that are guarding the hostages.

Finding this much tougher than I remember playing originally, with the tenth anniversary version, I wonder if they made it tougher? For one thing there are annoying traps in the way when you go SW in those early minutes.
