There may not have been a modern Palestinian State, but there have always been Palestinian people.

Other powers have ruled over them forever. From 1917-48, Britain ruled over them. In 1947 the UN had offered them a country of their own. Instead of taking it, they launched war against the Jews and lost. Now who is responsible for their suffering??
I just want to say something when the rashidun caliph Umar ibn al khatab conquered Jerusalem from the Byzantine's who did not let the Jewish in the city he said to them why did you do that to them and then let them back in to city I just wanted to say because I'm a Muslim palistinan and I don't want anyone to think that we don't like the Jewish people because we like them we just are home back and we'll be happy to share the state with them.

The history doesn't matter. The best solution is under one state where both are equal.

@@Silverpicker The Jewish people would have autonomy within the Jewish-Palestinian state. Countries like Switzerland, Belgium, and Bosnia have managed to do this.

Thank you for the mini history lesson. There are far too many factions that believe they are superior to other peoples in the same region. And yet, the fighting isn't limited to a civil war within a country. There are far too many countries where the fighting spills over into other countries.
Another issue which is forgotten is the artificial borders between countries created by Western governments. Borders were determined without any consideration for the ethnic groups split between countries. One of the best examples is the Kurds. The Kurds primarily live in Iraq, Syria and Turkey. They would love nothing better than to have their own country. Unfortunately, Turkey treats the Kurds as terrorists and will never allow the formation of a Kurdistan.
Every pre 1948 Palestinian currency has the abbreviation of Land of Israel written on it
