Carlo Gambino’s house showed his simplicity and his low key attitude that was key to his success back in the day.
Al DeMeo was one of the nicest guys that I ever met at Massapequa HS where we both graduated together in 1984. I read his book and was in shock when I learned what his life was like after we hung out. So sad. He was tortured by this life of his fathers.
Delivering Uber eats in Long Island made me realize how poor I am
I believe Jerry Seinfeld grew up on the same street at Carlo Gambino. He referenced it in an interview I saw. said Mr. Gambino was always very nice and kind to kids.
Both of Roy’s daughters ended up in respectable professions because women can’t be in the mob 😂. There was no other choice but to have regular jobs.
About Roy DeMeo and his family. Pretty much all the DeMeo's except Roy were, and are, respectable people. His uncle was a very well known and nationally respected law professor. I always assumed there was some remote connection between the two at best when I first heard of Roy, but I was shocked to learn of their close relationship. However, Roy was quite different and lived a far different life than his relatives. His own wife was for long completely unaware of what he really did. She thought he was a successful entrepreneurial businessman, which was the role he played to the outside world.
My dad had a friend that lived across from Carlo Gambino - he never locked his door. On one side was the mob and on the other was police/ agents. He said you would of had to be a fool to try anything
I wouldn't mind living in a mafia neighborhood. Just don't speed, and watch out for kids on mini bikes darting into the road.
Nice neighborhoods
Carlo Gambino home was a modest size Ranch Style House back in the 60's, in the spot where the new owners leveled Carlo's house and built the mansion that stands today..
I love virtual tours that show the real places tied to the mob. Thank you for making this! I would love to see more of these in the future!
So glad i came across your videos.. my grandmother (Moms mom) was carlo gambinos niece.. im 63 and have a few stories.. but she always raised me with the attitude towards the the mob as “lazy bullies “
He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians! Guy was a goddamn interior decorator!
I think UA-cam figured out I live on Long Island 🥸
I live in massapequa so this was a lot of fun to watch. You showed a lot of places I've been, schools I've attended, and other stuff like that. My dad was a police officer who went after people like this so he always showed me these houses and told me the stories
I had no idea Massapequa was known for this... very insightful
The good old days of the roof tv antenna ...no cable
