Any idea why new property prices are so high? People from Eastern Ukraine moving in because it's the safest big city? Or people from the rest of Russia? Or just general lack of supply?
I think it is supply vs demand issue. There are still more people who need housing than the speed on new houses building. In addition, the influx of people from all over Russia, who are helping to re-built the city also impacts the pricing.
This is a problem all over the world, even places with a shrinking economy or population. Housing doesn't work as a simple supply x demand relation, and "regulation" became a dirty word in today's world. Governments usually react by cutting interest rates in mortgages and make the problem even worse as the market overheats even more. It is one of the few aspects where Mariupol's rebuilding isn't going so well: the government isn't attempting to regulate the market and make housing more affordable as it would be unpopular with investors

Migrants from central Asia? You just become part of Russia and People from central Asia become unfortunate migrants to you? Lol Salem Aleykum bolbak
“What the Russians did to Mariupol is disgusting” and then we find out that gas costs less in Mariupol than anywhere in the EU and US
I believe you being sarcastic ,on the contrary you need you head checked
"Yo we bombed dozens of kids in this city but look how cheap gas is"
Very cheap, pretty much everything.
Can you explain more about why the appartmets are impossible for loscal people? If there are jobs and a reborn local economy it could be accessible,I think, please xomment something if tou can. Thanks.
Explain me why apartments are imposing for local people in Poland , Uk , France etc ? They are plenty of jobs in those countries too
@gabrielbakalarz5722 so easy explanation: speculation, centrification, investors and rentiers plus blak rock style investment funds and company. More precarious work and salaries, along with more and more foreigners who reduce salaries. I understand that there is nothing like that in Mariupol, or is there?
@ you literally don’t know how the world works . Have you bought your own place already ? I guess you are working like all of us , aren’t you ?
@@OscarCM-7 what black rock ? Mariupol is Russia not Ukraine
Putin must be getting desperate paying for this ridiculous propaganda 😂😂😂😂😂😂
How much you got paid for this comment ? Sorry , you have to pay zelenski to write such a rubbish 😂😂😂😂
@gabrielbakalarz5722 as a supporter of a terrorist state you clearly have no moral compass....you are just a ruskie stooge
