heres why i think baller is the superior class, it really shines once you get Ante up, like SOME of the commenters... ante up + baller literally solos knight and snory bear so most of the floors are a BREEZE and sharp enemies can get solod by dyna (or use bomb lol), dyna is also a good counter for units with more than 1 defense like statue and banished knights, as it ignores defense, if you pair this with Happy HP and Happy SP you can recover any lost hp and sp easily so SP being consumed when using linebounce all the time shouldn't be a problem, also, (+2 attack from hitting first solos most enemies).

While baller is the best for groups, but if you have a group of people with knight, its no problem, while most people wont be fighting together at most times, how are you gonna deal with all the armored enemies, the next chapter is bound to be harder than the first, meaning more enemies with 2 defense and more, making linebounce, useless, while they might add an upgraded form of the superball, so will the sword, cus thats just common sense, sure they might add more cards to make the superball better, they will also add more cards to make the sword better, its as simple as that.

I dont think you should really count baller or knight as "classes"; if you go to the job office in bizville, an npc will say that you should come back when jobs are added Considering what a "job" is in a few other rpgs (miitopia, yakuza: like a dragon, TECHNICALLY Dragon's Dogma but they use the word "vocation" instead) we could be getting an actual class system that does more than just disabling your sword/ball slot

In any game where you can build a character, I automatically go for pure damage, no need for defence and stuff if you kill them before they get the chance to attack

Demo 2 is out, new info. For the low, low cost of 2 bp you can now just ignore spikes. Better? Eh depends really, both were viable then, they're viable now. No new sword stuff to my knowledge, but there's two brand spankin new wepons, each replace either ball or sword and are locked by the respective power card. Bazzoka (ball replacement) high dps, splash damage and reduces defense. Good overall and worth trying out. Better in groups thanks to the whopping plus 1 damage (not a joke, 1 is alot) from the debuff. Might work very well with the next wepon (haven't tried it). Sling shot (sword) rapid attacks, meh honestly, would have to try non-card damage stacking before my final judgment. The issue is that defense is to sling shot what spike is to ball. And with pretty much all demo 2 enemies having def, just forget about using it alone for now.
it can be useful for armored enemies but i know what your thinking, how? even if its deflected it still casts the effect towards enemies (as of demo 2)
Slingshot is good, it lets you deal a lot of damage when running lots of cures and revives since it ALWAYS shoots 4 times and you can use the launcher to remove defence, though i've found a lot of enemies that dont have defence. EDIT: After thinking some more, both are great for support, especially since they let you remove every Ball and sword card and save BP for stuff like charges and cures.
With the new demo, a few things have changed. I know this video is from demo 1, just telling you the new stuff that slightly changes knight gameplay, baller gameplay and that adds new classes! So : -Baller no longer needs to worry about spiky enemies as long as they have the Cannonball card (2 BP), obtainable for free near the coconut juice maker. -One of the new weapons, the rocket launcher, has created a new kind of class : The Rocketeer. It’s basically a better version of baller, at least for me. No need to invest BP in ball cards, since you won’t have a ball. It can deal with flying AND spiky enemies easily, and can be great support with it’s defense lowering effect. It’s also a sort of passive line-bounce! -Knight got now way more powerful with the new iron sword and the new different damage buff cards. I haven’t really tried it, but if you stack a lot of buffs together with this class, you can deal massive damage in one swing. Note : any card that is supposed to buff the ball will buff the rocket launcher instead if equipped.

There is a quite a few classes baller:i feel like its a supporter sub type because they have things like fire ball and just use cannonball passive to counter spikey enemy’s do you even know half of the cards in the game? Knight:this is the true attacker play style they just do a ton of damage what else is there to say? The ballenced:just uses baller and sword you properly play this play style if you play solo but that’s probably. Support:you use things like charge resurrect and you use items to help your teammates and you probably use ball most of the time because of the special effects and now… tank:you get high hp then you use stuff like sacrifice and you try to block most of the time and you do not much because the enemys can just decide who to attack so yea that’s it.
I wouldn't call any of these classes Baller and Knight are just cards (plus, dialog at the job office in bizville suggests that actual classes will be added later), Support and Tank are just ways you can build your character, not classes
I used a supporter/tank build so i can heal/revive and keep my teams SP, and i use Venom card to help a little with the damage, it does damage for 3 rounds, so i can focus on healing hp and sp, but when im alone i can keep up fights too because i tank/self heal a lot, so if i can outheal the enemy while doing poison damage, i can win it will just take a while haha, but i use sword as a primary weapon, but when i need to do brute damage ill just use the bomb. Hope we get more from this game soon, loved playing, just beat the final Boss 7 times already haha
I'm not really sure if knight has no cons yet.. because honestly to me sword toss just wasting SP just to beat 4 flying enemies. i know it waste single SP but its my opinion waaaaaa😭🙏
theres honestly a diffrence between maining SuperBall and Wooden Sword Superball: Pros: AOE (Area Of Effect) Debuff CC (crowd control) more easier for a Succesful Action Can counter "Flying" enemys Cons: Cant hurt spiked entitys cannot penetrate defense Wooden Sword: Pros: Deals gud dmg with Power swing can counter "Flying" Enemys can counter "Spiked" Enemys Penetrates Defense free poison make gud gud cons: Harder to success an action Not good for crowd control Summary: Their both good in their own way. if you wanna cause pretty deadly debuffs and crowd control. choose Super Ball if you wanna deal good dmg. choose Wooden Sword both are good with ante up and their own respective dmg buff card theres still 1 thing that outclasses both of these and it aint dynamite..| S U P P O R T
Extra tips for anyone that uses baller or knight: Baller builds always go best with cannonball and ante up; Cannonball because it overrides ball's only weakness for only 2 bp, and ante up because of the extra damage. if you have extra bp, I'd recommend using things like charge for extra damage or stuff like daze or freeze to stun enemies you hate. If you use your rocket launcher, then stuff like freeze is disabled, so try investing your bp on self sustaining like happy hp/sp, safe guard, etc. As knight though... you don't have as much variety; sword toss is *mandatory* if you don't want to waste 5 sp on a mosquito swarm. You should also use free poison because your ball slot is already disabled, but it's not as practical as other sword cards because it takes out a whole turn. NEVER. EVER. Use slingshot without free poison; many enemies (specially in chapter 2) have something called defense; when they have it, no matter how small the amount of defense they have, they will be *immune to your slingshot* , so always make sure to at least imbue it with free poison because at least then, you get free 3 damage. Any guy that has no defense though? It's over for them.
Baller is just bad in chapter 2 It's replaced with the rocket launcher And it only gets cannonball but it doesn't get any sort of damage so you have to basically rely on the ball debuffs and dynamite to get past the regular battles, which means it is an absolute sp drainer, It's the worst in the giant tree, where you have to go through around 10 fights in a row, Also i dont know if it's just me but i cannot hit the attack window with the ball or line bounce So while you're doing like 6 damage with the sword the ball does like 2 at best and that's after doing a lot of attack buffs that only work on 1 attack I went into the big tree as a baller, after 5 hours i had to sell all my cards and items and just make a completely new build
Baller is pretty much of a controller. It can easily destroy a group of unarmored units and apply debuffs on tanky foes. Only problem it will encounter was dealing with statues due to 2 armor. Knight on the other hand is pretty much of a damage burst to single targets. It may unable to attack multiple enemies in 1 go but the ridiculous amount of damage you can do with 1 swing with its ridiculous piercing effect makes it shines a lot. Hell, you can even deal 8 damage in a single swing to Cruel King with Knight, Ante Up, and Apple Pie's buff.
My favorite thing to do with knight is go to floor 18 of the pit use ice dagger apple pie with ante up and then use my power stab and hope I hit max damage it’s so satisfying to kill statues since they are imo the most annoyoing boss in the game
@@MymomsaidImspecial Knight's got a knack for tanking too but since I like being glass cannon, Knight can really mess up powerful single units. You can just deal flat 12 damage by default with powerstab and apple pie in a single hit. Baller's pretty much more of a choice for party.
i feel like knight is useless at a certain point, because power stab is horrible compared to dynamite (who wouldn't wanna deal more damage and aim at the cost of 1 extra SP?), and power stab also costs 1 BP to use while dynamite requires none. this is probably just because of the amount of attacks that use swords, which is 3 (sword, sword toss, power stab), compared to baller's 6 (ball, line bounce, fireball, snowball, minimize, daze). honestly just makes knight not worth using as soon as you can get dynamite, because you can finish encounters with line bounce with first strike faster than knight can. wish there were more sword attacks to make knight just as versatile as baller is
Knight is better since most abilities from baller are items and are more consistent sadly. When it comes to fighting stronger bosses, baller spends a lot more SP on dynamite while knight just….swings.
Honestly I see them this way Knight-Typical main DPS class like Berserkers, Paladins, and y'know Knights Baller-More on mage like archetypes Wizards, Priests and Mages like those But it just my opinion
Pretty sure noone beats the tickle stick apple lie linebounce combo to this day (ends the 4 statues within 4 turns, 2 to apply buff and debuff 2 to kill them off) Even without linebounce pretty sure normal ball deals like 25 damage or something with those applied, even tutorial terry would approve of the way of the baller
hybrid is stupid, with baller card you can ignore defense and with knight card you deal a lot more damage, with neither you’re basically unable to use ball against armored enemies but also weak while using sword
I pick baller because no matter how high the defence is on an enemy, if I always land the 2nd hit, its guaranteed to deal damage if I dont got any damage items and allows me to slowly train for dodging all moves

knight is the greatest katana zero build. But have you thought of a hidden Fourth build called DEMOMAN? Pick both kinght and baller cards, and pick Dynamite. Not sure if it goes 3X times the damage.

In the demo 2 there is a passive card called Cannon ball where the ball is immune to spike and fire

There is a quite a few classes baller:i feel like its a supporter sub type because they have things like fire ball and just use cannonball passive to counter spikey enemy’s do you even know half of the cards in the game? Knight:this is the true attacker play style they just do a ton of damage what else is there to say? The ballenced:just uses baller and sword you properly play this play style if you play solo but that’s probably. Support:you use things like charge resurrect and you use items to help your teammates and you probably use ball most of the time because of the special effects and now… tank:you get high hp then you use stuff like sacrifice and you try to block most of the time and you do not much because the enemys can just decide who to attack so yea that’s it.
I wouldn't call any of these classes
Baller and Knight are just cards (plus, dialog at the job office in bizville suggests that actual classes will be added later), Support and Tank are just ways you can build your character, not classes

I used a supporter/tank build so i can heal/revive and keep my teams SP, and i use Venom card to help a little with the damage, it does damage for 3 rounds, so i can focus on healing hp and sp, but when im alone i can keep up fights too because i tank/self heal a lot, so if i can outheal the enemy while doing poison damage, i can win it will just take a while haha, but i use sword as a primary weapon, but when i need to do brute damage ill just use the bomb. Hope we get more from this game soon, loved playing, just beat the final Boss 7 times already haha

Harder to success an action
Not good for crowd control
Summary:
Their both good in their own way.
if you wanna cause pretty deadly debuffs and crowd control. choose Super Ball
if you wanna deal good dmg. choose Wooden Sword
both are good with ante up and their own respective dmg buff card
theres still 1 thing that outclasses both of these

Extra tips for anyone that uses baller or knight:
Baller builds always go best with cannonball and ante up; Cannonball because it overrides ball's only weakness for only 2 bp, and ante up because of the extra damage. if you have extra bp, I'd recommend using things like charge for extra damage or stuff like daze or freeze to stun enemies you hate. If you use your rocket launcher, then stuff like freeze is disabled, so try investing your bp on self sustaining like happy hp/sp, safe guard, etc.
As knight though... you don't have as much variety; sword toss is *mandatory* if you don't want to waste 5 sp on a mosquito swarm. You should also use free poison because your ball slot is already disabled, but it's not as practical as other sword cards because it takes out a whole turn. NEVER. EVER. Use slingshot without free poison; many enemies (specially in chapter 2) have something called defense; when they have it, no matter how small the amount of defense they have, they will be *immune to your slingshot* , so always make sure to at least imbue it with free poison because at least then, you get free 3 damage. Any guy that has no defense though? It's over for them.

Baller is just bad in chapter 2
It's replaced with the rocket launcher
And it only gets cannonball but it doesn't get any sort of damage so you have to basically rely on the ball debuffs and dynamite to get past the regular battles, which means it is an absolute sp drainer,
It's the worst in the giant tree, where you have to go through around 10 fights in a row,
Also i dont know if it's just me but i cannot hit the attack window with the ball or line bounce
So while you're doing like 6 damage with the sword the ball does like 2 at best and that's after doing a lot of attack buffs that only work on 1 attack
I went into the big tree as a baller, after 5 hours i had to sell all my cards and items and just make a completely new build

Baller is pretty much of a controller. It can easily destroy a group of unarmored units and apply debuffs on tanky foes. Only problem it will encounter was dealing with statues due to 2 armor. Knight on the other hand is pretty much of a damage burst to single targets. It may unable to attack multiple enemies in 1 go but the ridiculous amount of damage you can do with 1 swing with its ridiculous piercing effect makes it shines a lot. Hell, you can even deal 8 damage in a single swing to Cruel King with Knight, Ante Up, and Apple Pie's buff.
My favorite thing to do with knight is go to floor 18 of the pit use ice dagger apple pie with ante up and then use my power stab and hope I hit max damage it’s so satisfying to kill statues since they are imo the most annoyoing boss in the game
@@MymomsaidImspecial Knight's got a knack for tanking too but since I like being glass cannon, Knight can really mess up powerful single units. You can just deal flat 12 damage by default with powerstab and apple pie in a single hit. Baller's pretty much more of a choice for party.

i feel like knight is useless at a certain point, because power stab is horrible compared to dynamite (who wouldn't wanna deal more damage and aim at the cost of 1 extra SP?), and power stab also costs 1 BP to use while dynamite requires none. this is probably just because of the amount of attacks that use swords, which is 3 (sword, sword toss, power stab), compared to baller's 6 (ball, line bounce, fireball, snowball, minimize, daze). honestly just makes knight not worth using as soon as you can get dynamite, because you can finish encounters with line bounce with first strike faster than knight can. wish there were more sword attacks to make knight just as versatile as baller is

When it comes to fighting stronger bosses, baller spends a lot more SP on dynamite while knight just….swings.

Pretty sure noone beats the tickle stick apple lie linebounce combo to this day (ends the 4 statues within 4 turns, 2 to apply buff and debuff 2 to kill them off)
Even without linebounce pretty sure normal ball deals like 25 damage or something with those applied, even tutorial terry would approve of the way of the baller
hybrid is stupid, with baller card you can ignore defense and with knight card you deal a lot more damage, with neither you’re basically unable to use ball against armored enemies but also weak while using sword

I pick baller because no matter how high the defence is on an enemy, if I always land the 2nd hit, its guaranteed to deal damage if I dont got any damage items and allows me to slowly train for dodging all moves

Knight is good in consistency and single target damage, baller is anti crowd. Also can kill the 4 statues solo before they attack twice with items
