I have seen a trend lately, to going back to ambiguous trailers, giving you a a taste of the movie without spoiling it, pardon the pun. Giving the audience a chance to go and see a movie in the theatre, knowing what they saw, was not only compelling but intriguing, without knowing the overall story and I am loving every second of it. Count me in for this one.
Agreed, I really detested trailers for a long time ... we had a long period where trailers basically told you the first 60 minutes of the movie at minimum, if not the key plot points of the entire movie
But don't you feel like you already can guess the plot, anyway? This isn't some new concept, it's just the same old coffee with a hint of... what, coconut this time? Maybe she gets out, maybe she doesn't. Maybe most people in there know what's going on, maybe only only the male guests do or one of the date partners... whatever, nothing surprises us anymore.
HBO did that well in the past which is why i liked some of there stuff. Movie trailers have become mini recaps so this was refreshing. although I could have done without the action so it would invoke more curiosity.
It's one of those movies where you feel like you somehow know what's going on but you're not entirely sure so you go into it, analyzing every detail so you can come to the correct conclusion before the movie ends.

I had the chance of seeing this film in a secret premiere. (No Spoilers ahead) Truly recommend it. Starting from the cinematography, to the setting and set design - all was stunning to watch. On top of that - the film masterfully combines comedy with horror. It briliantly treads the line of showing something suspensful and shocking and then popping in a contextually fitting joke, making the whole audience laugh out loud, but not making it feel forced and not taking you out of the film. The jokes are not overdone and are used in just the perfect amount to liven it up but not kill the suspensful mood. Loved the twists as well. I think I counted seven times when the story went into a direction I didn’t predict. They weren’t mind blowing twists and turns but enough to pique my interest about what’s going to happen next. If you are a person who typically doesn’t like “horror” films - I don’t think you should worry as it wasn’t really as much scary as it was suspensful and thrilling. An enjoyable ride, that I do recommend for anyone who’s looking for something fresh in nowadays cinema.

I just got back home from seeing this in theaters. I walked in blindly never having heard of it or seeing a trailer or hearing what it was about. It was awesome 😂😂😂😂😂
I’m a server at a fine dining restaurant and this movie intrigues the hell out of me. They always hold these super ritzy wine dinners that only select servers can work and sometimes they do them behind closed doors. I’m always looking back their waiting for them to put on some like cult animal masks and start doing blood sacrifices or shit
Yooo they do this at my restaurant too. It was weird because I ran some food to the wine dinner room and I just hear conversations about people just purchasing their 3rd plane and stock prices. After a while they keep the doors shut and there's just a blue glow coming from under the door (most likely a projector frfr but still looks creepy af)
I've attended a few events like this, actually--I use to write a magazine column about gourmet dining where I live, one about high-end whisky and brandy (and occasionally I'd mention other types of liquor...had to keep the content fresh), regular old restaurant reviews, anonymous reviews, and various features about food, luxury, booze, etc. Once I helped the Vice Minister of Defense's future son-in-law pick out a very nice Macallan (all the Vice Minister would drink) and he apparently loved it so much that I got an invite to be their talking monkey at a series of private whisky-tasting dinners and events. They sent a car to pick me up; we went to a very, very swanky club that took up basically the entire floor of a building downtown, and was entirely without a name, a logo, any identification, signage, advertising, etc. You just had to know that behind the bland office-building doors on the (IIRC) 15th floor was this oasis of luxury. Anyway, we got crazy good 10-course chef's tasting menus prepared by a 1-star Michelin chef doing a guest appearance at a hotel in the city, and we got open bar with a 50-year-old Glenfarclas (from the family's private reserve, no less) and a vintage 1962 Glenfarclas, as well as a number of 20-30 year old whiskies, mostly Speyside. I was asked to talk about the pairings of different Scotches with various courses, about the centerpiece whiskies, about Speyside in general vs. other regions, and Scotch vs. other whiskies. Got invited back 4 (EDIT: was actually 5 more times; just couldn't attend one) more times and was preparing to host a whisky tasting of my own with help from some of the bigwigs when CoVid hit. I'd say that first dinner, had I paid for it out of pocket, would easily have been $2500, and about...oh...95% of that the cost of the whisky I drank. The others weren't quite as lavish with the free booze, except for one where we got to try Macallan that retails at $10,000 per bottle and up. I was the only person there who wasn't rich as Croesus. Thankfully, I was also the only person there with some aristocrats in my family tree, so I could wow 'em with some of the stories I grew up hearing. I'm just a dude from California, mind you. Nobody special. Had these guys hanging on my every word about Scotch, but then when it broke up into conversation, I had zero in common with them. I don't own a vacation home or "summer" anywhere, you know? I just write about food and booze well, and managed to educate my palate and find an audience on the cheap.
@@MrBrachiatingApe you're not just some dude knowledge is power and that scenario proves the saying. In a while. So, thank you very much. I had to avoid typing out, reading, or even thinking about your handle while thanking you sincerely because I kept cracking up, btw. Hahaha it's epic in a very explicit way. And shit, I wish I was still getting invited to these things, but the last one was not too long before CoVid hit, so I dunno if they're even happening anymore. But shit, man, if I ever get an invite and I get a +1, hell yeah, I'll hit you up. I can maybe share some fundamentals about good Scotch so you can determine more easily what you like, why, an find others like it. Cuz lemme tell you, man, once you drink enough that your face doesn't explode into flames from the alcohol fumes, and you really start tasting the good stuff, it honestly sounds like bullshit to a lot of people what sorts of flavors you can detect. It's not as ridiculous as wine, where I'm convinced sommeliers and critics *are* just making shit up ("I taste the sunlight...'pon the leaves of a single olive tree in Minorca, and the body butter of the hot Spanish chick sunbathing toplessly beneath it..." Like they don't just get precise, they get ludicrously specific.) But I've had whiskies where I could taste flavors like toast, cinnamon, raisins, butter--another cluster of saffron and vanilla--no chocolate, but light caramel, egg whites... lots of berry flavors...hint of citrus...which the chief distiller of the brand, who make *excellent* limited issue malts each year--looked surprised and basically said, yeah, I was inspired to try and make this malt by this bakery I used to go to when I was a kid and listed out cinnamon raisin bread toast, meringues, and a berry tart they used to make in the summer. So I apparently got like 10/10 of the main flavors he wanted to convey. Hahaha I looked like a prodigy that night, even though my palate is--was, now--at best above average compared to a lot of Scotch connoisseurs I used to know. That was one of maybe three times when I unlocked some mutant supertaster power, but jesus, it was incredible. Each flavor was clear as day, though at first I thought I was fucking hallucinating.

I think it's a crime that Hong Chau isn't in more films. She's a force of an actress and has few roles that I'm aware of. Her character in Downsizing carried the film and she played her character in Watchmen so incredibly well. She's also great in American Woman. I love fancy food, nice architecture, and thrillers, but I think I'm most excited about this film for a chance to see Hong Chau on the screen again.
and while we're talking about actors I'd like to see more, I haven't seen Janet McTeer since she portrayed Helen Pierce in Ozark and she was so captivating in it. Favorite character on the show. This move has a great cast.

I feel like Walmart’s movie section (and I don't mean this as a bad thing), or other streaming services are better mediators to introduce those films to people.
it's funny how i came here to watch the trailer but also got the trailer ad at the same time hahahhaa
Saw this last night and it was sublime. Highly recommend it. I'll watch it again when it hits streaming.
We are so excited and thankful that we were able to work with the Director and Costume Designer to outfit the chefs for this movie. The movie itself really looks incredible and the cast is top tier as well. We are beyond elated to see this in theaters in November.
Hope trickle-down economics has been working out for you. All the best. 🙏
@@r0tt1ng haha what is that supposed to mean??
Ralph Fiennes looks absolutely menacing and terrifying, I got chills just from a few seconds of watching him.
As fudge says “ he’s back .”
He looks more menacing with a nose
because he is voldemort
This girl won our attention forever with the queen’s gambit series
I watched this last night. It's so good. it's haunting. It sucks you in. Ralph Fiennes is just incredible in this.
Anya Taylor Joy, Nicholas Hoult and Ralph Fiennes. I think they struck gold with this cast.
No Amber Heard they missed a trick 😩
Don't forget John Leguizmo
That's why I am interested in this movie 😃
So when you look at the video description, it is described as a comedy. When you Google the movie, it is described as an action comedy on the Wikipedia link. When you open the Wikipedia link, it is described as a a horror thriller film.
And when it is released, the genre will actually be a biopic - twist within a twist!
This looks amazing!! The cast is spectacular and it's directed by Mark Mylod of Succession, my favorite show.
Ralph might get a nomination from this one! He's killing it! This looks v good!
It's like a novel about a group of people accused of murder but the presence of Anya Taylor is a special touch
Anya Taylor Joy is killing it with every movie.
Do you mean agatha christies and then there were none?
I like her nude scene in The Northman movie.😏😏😏😏

@@user-px3cv8sp8g exactly what i was thinking!
The first twenty second of the soundtrack is a part of the track "reborn" from Colin Stentson for the movie Hereditary ❤️
Good call!! I noticed that as well and the later part of the trailer sounds a lot like Trevor Gureckis's score for the Apple TV series Servant.
Knew I’d heard it somewhere.
This went from 1 to 10 real quick + Anya Taylor, can’t wait to watch it!
Anya Taylor-Joy perfeita em tudo! 🖤
I like this focus on the creepiness of so many haute cuisine restaurants like Noma and Alinea. Their chefs tend to act like cult leaders.
Lol what, what are Rene and Grant doing
Have you eaten at any of these places personally? Interested to hear some of these stories
Yes! I got serious Faviken vibes from the whole thing
@@Joel-cc6hx I've been to Alinea a couple of times. A friend told me stories about Noma since his friend worked there.
Here for Anya without even watching the movie i know she will be amazing
Fuck yeahhh !! 😂
I dont know why Anya elevates every movie she is in up a notch! I think its the eyes!
This is one of the movies of all time
I just got back home from seeing this in theaters.
@@MrBrachiatingApe anda que interesante cuentame mas
@@MrBrachiatingApe you're not just some dude knowledge is power and that scenario proves the saying. Rich people love food 🤷♂️ feel like it's got something to do with that same part of there drive that got them their money. Like through that comes their want to have the best food, like the rarest, most dangerous borderline extinct dishes just to say they had it. Almost like a collection of consumption. It's weird but interesting 🤔 also hmu next time you hit up one of those dinners. Idk shit about whiskey but I'm down for free booze 👍😂
@@GnarlyBeats94 Damn, thank you very much...seriously, haven't gotten a compliment like this--sincere and that I'm able to...what, to actually receive and not immediately see too objectively to fully appreciate?
It's not as ridiculous as wine, where I'm convinced sommeliers and critics *are* just making shit up ("I taste the sunlight...'pon the leaves of a single olive tree in Minorca, and the body butter of the hot Spanish chick sunbathing toplessly beneath it..." Like they don't just get precise, they get ludicrously specific.)
But I've had whiskies where I could taste flavors like toast, cinnamon, raisins, butter--another cluster of saffron and vanilla--no chocolate, but light caramel, egg whites... lots of berry flavors...hint of citrus...which the chief distiller of the brand, who make *excellent* limited issue malts each year--looked surprised and basically said, yeah, I was inspired to try and make this malt by this bakery I used to go to when I was a kid and listed out cinnamon raisin bread toast, meringues, and a berry tart they used to make in the summer.
Just love how Anya keeps getting these horror / suspense movie roles.
Must watch. It was one of the craziest movies I've ever seen that kept you intrigued the entire time. Very unique film and funny as well. And I love that this trailer did not give everything away. 10/10

Imagine if this was a Wes Anderson production. A symmetry horror movie
I mean there is the cook the thief his wife and her lover. Which heavily influenced Wes Anderson.
If Wes Anderson made it, it would be shit.
We already had a beautiful Chef montage in the French Dispatch. Just in case you haven't seen it. It's again beautifully done.
@@redpilledfag Pardon, a symmetric shit.
Wes Anderson horror movie would be hilarious, probably not scary tho, at all.
I don't even know anything and this was just accidentally clicked, but as soon as I saw Anya Taylor, I already know two things; it HAS to be either thriller or horror, and it's gonna be AMAZING. lol

10 seconds in and I'm like "They're eating people, aren't they?"
Edit: Ok, I reached the end of the trailer and yeah, they're definitely eating people.
Truth hidden in movies , lies broadcast in the news. Our so called " betters " are indeed pedovores, and the younger the better. One of the biggest secrets on the planet is slowly coming into the public's consciousness. #1 Killer on the planet = abortion. # 1 Problem = pedos and traffickers. Most expensive drug on planet = adrenochrome ( the closest to the fountain of youth they've found ) You don't wanna believe it because it's too evil, but that doesn't make it false. The more u research the more u will have trouble debunking it.
…with some fava beans. 😂 NeXt on the MENu is a gourmet big mac burger called The Beast and Mr. Hoult has mysteriously gone missing to review the dish. 🤔
First, though, to truly *understand* your eating experience, you must hunt and kill your food yourself.
