We had a lot of great response from our last video discussing Cole's sensation. We also had a lot of questions regarding Cole's hole and why he doesn't like for people to touch it. In this video, we will explain why.

About Cole & Charisma:
Welcome to the official Roll with Cole & Charisma UA-cam channel! Since the start of our relationship we've
gotten a lot of questions about our experiences as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. On
this channel you can catch us doing travel and adventure vlogs, challenges, our inclusion series, couple first times, music, and so much more! We started this vlog to bring people into our lives, to answer some questions about how we navigate the world, and hopefully raise awareness surrounding accessibility and dating in a wheelchair. You'll quickly see in our episodes that we're all about inclusion and keeping a great attitude no matter your
circumstances, so if that's what you're into, you're in the right place!
Who else comes here just to enjoy the positive vibes this cute couple has😂😀
I love them n how positive they are. And how cole jokes about some of things he does. Like his hole his spasms and the sassy leg.
Same reason we got to the comment section! You guys make our day!
@@coleandcharisma I'm always happy to see a new video from you. Its just nice to be in your company. I have learned a lot and I admire your film-making talents.
I'm so glad I rediscovered this channel ❤❤❤
That's me
I love love these two😍😍
I love that she validates his feelings. What a loving couple. They really respect each other.
Charisma: why do you have the chills?
Cole: Because your beautiful
Me: *cries in single at this beautiful relationship*
Chantel Smith 😂 me too!
Sorry
Yes, they are sooo beautiful!!
Same sis... Single tears! 😭
Cole is dangerously handsome.
But more importantly, one of the bravest humans I've ever come across. What a warrior.
Whatever turns you on..
@@sarahjones-jf4pr And what's that suppose to mean?
Cole is tall and handsome. Beautiful in ou out. The both are suitable to each other.
Legend lovely bloke. Charisma too
Ha and that bravery adds to the handsomeness!
As a respiratory therapist, I felt so much appreciation for you. I never got to see the patient side of my work. Thank you for sharing.
Can we take a moment to recognize how handsome Cole is!!!! Charisma is absolutely gorgeous! Ok they are just a beautiful couple 🥰
They are going to have some Beatifull mix babies with nice hair 😍😍😍😍
Elisa Carcamo please could you stop the mix fetish already, it is not cool
@@Entergalactic What???, because you are a racist person that only see color and Not Love 😍
@@Entergalactic absolutely right
@@elisacarcamo9005 you're a moron if you think anything he said was racist.
I know this is about Cole's hole 😂 but can we talk about Charisma's complexion 🤩🤩 girl, we need your skincare routine!
I'm here for it 🙋♀️
Is Charisma her real name? I'm jealous omg
Right!
YES PLEASE!!!
Agreed
Couples like these two are what makes us realize the world is also filled with good people and don’t ever settle with anyone who doesn’t know how to love you. There is a person out there for everyone.God bless both of them they are so cool and cute and their love seems so genuine and fun.
Cole I don't care what you or anybody say you are the most blessed guy on earth to have a wife that studied what you so unfortunately become (sorry about that)
And not forgetting how much she loves nobody can't top that
In January of 2019, my husband was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Although, he responded well to treatment for a year, he developed a platelet cytoma/tumor in his pelvic bone in December. The tumor quickly grew and invaded his spinal nerves, rendering him a paraplegic. He was admitted to the hospital with lower extremity weakness, but soon lost complete use of his legs. As I sat at the hospital trying to wrap my brain around the situation, I often thought of reaching out to you guys. Unfortunately; Peter lost his battle and just passed away. Needless to say, my children and I are broken. He struggled so much with the loss of his legs, but I didn't care. I have been in love with him for 27 years, and was going to love him, regardless. God had a different plan for us, though. Charisma, you are so strong and generous with your heart, and I now understand how painful it is to watch someone that you love so deeply, struggle.
So proud of you both!!! 😘💖🤟💔
My condolences to you. Stay strong
My condolences Paula. God bless ❤️
Thank you both, for your kind words. Trying to survive one moment at a time. 😘
Sending you love and healing! ❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss Paula. Wishing you peace and healing 💛
You can tell that she really loves him. You can just tell by the way she looks at him. Prayers for him for his recovery. And it's nice that he has such a wonderful woman like you to help him through this
Cole was such a positive patient even then...keep staying positive ❤
Positivity also depends on who your surrounded by, including medical staff
She loves him so much.. I can tell by the way she stares and admires him.
Yeeeees, they soooo cute
And vice versa! It's such a beautiful thing to see 🤩
They are the cutest couple on UA-cam love them lot of love
How did cole get ingred
I love that as well
The innuendoes surrounding his "hole" is so funny to me...lol hilarious.
Sounds naughty😋
😂🤣😂yes I hollere when I probably shouldn’t have but it was funny
i am here for Cole flirting with Charisma and making her shy. I just love it "i dont know...cuuse you are so beautiful..." Lord i love their love
Oh my goodness! I am currently at Shepard’s in Atlanta! I was attacked by my husband on Valentine’s Day and he shot me. I have a T3 shattered vertebrae and spinal stenosis 50%. Currently paralyzed chest down. I just got to Shepard’s last Friday and I am already SO impressed with their care. I just started watching your videos here recently and they are so informative. Thank you!!
How awful. Bless you
Hope you're doing well, Rachel!
Hope you will recover, bless you! Hope he got sentenced. ❤️
He took the coward way out
If it's ok to ask, how are you feeling now?
I swear, I can see you guys 50 years from now, the year 2070, still being the greatest couple on youtube.❤❤❤
May God make that happen.
Amen
Hey charisma and cole. I know things are really hard in the world right now. Stay strong and be safe.
Sending love to everyone! ❤️
When everyone started clapping in the video at 8:10 my baby said "YAYYYYYYY!!!" and started clapping too. lol it was sooo precious😍🤗
I bet that was adorable😍
Cole is a living testimony, with everything he's been through, his positive vibes are super amazing. You guys are such a sweet couple. Love you tons 😊
In the words of my late grandfather,”he has himself a good woman”.
@Rob so true!!
Absolutely❤
hi :) just wanted to let people know that if they have hearing issues and the subtitles are a little too quick, they click the three dots next to the "save" button and open the transcript. It's auto- generated- so it's not perfect, but it pops up on the side and is way easier to follow along! :)
Thanks...
Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Thanks
me
Does that work with videos that don’t have captions as well...I definitely need to read along
Find someone who looks at you like cole looks at charisma! Omg you guys are a delight 💕 love your videos!
Hi guys! I know exactly how Cole feels because I am a c6 c7 quad due to a car accident back in 1983. I too had to have a trach put in. I call it my crumb catcher because when I eat sometimes crumbs fall in the "hole" lol. The way you described your feelings is exactly how I feel.. The feeling of being hungry and such. The deep inner feeling. Keep the videos coming they are very helpful to those who have recently become paralyzed.
Cole is SO handsome! He is so cute and he seems to have a great personality, fun and easy to get along with. Charisma he’s a GREAT catch!
Me too
Absolutely, and she is an incredible catch. Both blessed and lucky 🍀
You two are beautiful together. Stay strong and don’t let the Negative people put you down . Love is stronger than hate. congratulations on the engagement❤️🌹🍻
Yes they're
The courage of Cole at 16/17 years old, beyond measure.
He had and still has an amazing support system.
Y'all are the cutest couple EVER
I had a serious leg injury at 9 years old, and I can absolutely attest to Cole. When you discuss parts of the injury or scars, You can literally “feel” that pain all over again, even after years and years!!! I absolutely HATE it when my scars are touched!!! Our scars = trauma and just like our minds, our bodies remember the good the bad and the ugly!! I’m going in for my 11th operation on Monday 🤦♀️ and it will hopefully elevate some of the arthritic pain that’s now in my hip from years of walking with the original trauma that was set in traction incorrectly. I also have spasms because my nerves have been pinched in places. It’s horrible and annoying. Mine is mostly spasmodic bladder so you can just imagine how often I have to pee lol 😂!!
Anyway, I just realize love watching you guys because even though we ALL have different trials in our lives, you remind everyone to always “stay positive”! 🙌 Such an important message!!! 💜🙌
The way they just gaze into each other’s EYESSSS 🥺😫😍😍
I love how honest you are about your injury. My cousin got transferse myelitis on his honeymoon. He had to be lifeflighted from Hawaii to Houston to come home. He went to China to get T cell transfer surgery to get more function and got from neck to hip progression. He runs a 501(c)3 to help kids in need and a cross fit gym.
I was just going to ask about Cole's feeling inside because I remember the clip when his feeding tube was removed, and he seemed to be in pain. Thanks so much for letting us know more about this.
Thank you for watching! ❤️
So interesting about the sensations. I am a retired RN but never worked with spinal injuries. The body is such a miracle . Adore the Two of you and Sophie too. ❤️
So interesting, thank you for sharing! Also, the way Cole looks at Charisma is well, words don't describe it. Love you both
Me, as a natural hair girl too, love your hair! I noted it right away and thought you did the hairstyle so cute too! And you guys look so good too (maybe its the meal planning, work outs or just being active with the house lol)!
Thank you so much! ❤️
@@coleandcharisma you're welcome! hope you guys and your family stay safe and healthy! God bless!
I was interning in the trauma unit before I became a nurse. I remember this young man had just been stabilized after a roll-over car accident. He was just 22 years old. I remember looking at him and realizing he had his entire life before himself and all he could move was his mouth. I don't think it had dawned on him that he was never going to move independently because he was texting friends with a pen in his mouth. I wanted to see if he needed anything and he got annoyed with me for interrupting his conversation in that young person way. I was heartbroken knowing there would come a day and time that he would come to terms with his situation. Seeing Cole living his best life with Charisma gives me hope that young man found his way.
Woow the camera quality is top!!!
Charisma I love your skin, looks healthy and poping 🥰✨
Thank you! ❤️
I really appreciate you sharing your physical ordeal so candidly with us. My husband’s uncle was thrown out of a speeding car into a ditch. Everyone else died, they found him 24 hours later. His paralysis was very similar to yours and I wish I had known more when he was alive. He had a great sense of humor and I totally respected him!
I really enjoyed this video. At the end of December I had a baby who was born with a very obstructed airway and was trached on Jan 22. Hearing about the hole from the trach and seeing how it healed was really neat. A lot of Coles fears/concerns about his hole are the same as the ones I have for my baby boy Holden even though we don't know how long he'll need his trach for. Thank you so much for sharing.
I’m currently in my senior year at VCU studying Exercise Science. This just came across my recommended and I’m hooked. Y’all are so awesome!!
“They wanna know everything bout my hole”. 😂😂😂
Yes we do
Cole is truly handsome and charisma is so Beautiful and charismatic just like her name. Gof bless this gorgeous couple ✨💕
Cole You have been through so much and you came out an awesome person! Charisma any hair style you do it looks great on you. Keep up the good work!😊
Seeing the old videos of Cole had me in tears!! To have gone through such a traumatic event and still have laughter and sunshine in his spirit! Love you guys 💕
1. Your editing skills are on point!
2. I'm a fairly new subscriber and I love every video. It took me 3 days to watch everything.
I know this is probably one of a million of the same comment but they are seriously the perfect couple or i guess i mean perfect for each other. Charisma does such an amazing job at understanding Cole's needs. They are motivation at its finest, seriously!
You’re right. She’s beautiful inside and out! You’re a lucky guy. One of the best videos. Thanks.
😛😛😛😛
Thanks for sharing your story! I’ve had a tracheotomy since I was a baby and it’s rare for me to find people close to my age discussing their experience with it. This is the first video I saw of yours and you two are adorable! New subscriber. ☺️
Love watching your videos!! So much positivity and love radiates from you both it brings me joy... I currently had nerve damage and lost a lot of muscle mass all over my body... I get the pins and needles everywhere on my body and my skin feels like I have dreams burns everywhere... It hurts to the touch but feels good with certain touch sensations but will not go away... So watching your videos gives me hope and joy... 💙💙
Hi, your hair looks lovely, so please don’t feel uncomfortable with it. You’re a gorgeous woman and your hair looks great, short or long. Trust Cole when he tells you it looks great, because he’s not just saying it to make you feel better. Hope this helps. 😊
Cole, your incredible courage and strength is amazing. Your will to live and REALLY LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST is so inspiring. Yours and Charismas relationship is so beautiful and you both are truly blessed to have found eachother.
It’s so important to hear the perspective from patient/caregiver point of view. You guys are doing important service
I realize I watch this just because of their romance. I'm just focusing on their interactions with each other. That's actually why I watch. Not really for the disability part, even though it's very informative. I realized how much of a sappy romantic I am lol. Thx for sharing your love 💕
You get it. I wish everyone saw these videos for what you do, proof that they’re just a normal couple and one of them happens to be in a wheelchair. So many people think interabled relationships can’t work. As a disabled person, I appreciate you getting it.
Watching from Jamaica 🇯🇲, idk how I got here however, I have no regrets! You guys are awesome.
Charisma you're glowing! And I would like to hear more about the healing process for #ColesHole. Thank you all for this content right now with everything going on in America. It is nice to have a glimmer of positivity here and there despite the immense racial injustice. Thank you for portraying acceptance, hope, and positivity.
Was admiring Charisma's hair before she commented on it! Looks awesome!
I'm new to your channel, I love yall story, if it wasn't for his accident, he would never met you. BUT Its amazing how the universe connect people at the right time. Yall look so cute together. And for all the negative people in the world, if you don't like them. Then you need to dip off their UA-cam channel and let them continue to live postive comments/ people around their life. They don't have to proof anything to you or me. Everyone deserves love.
I have a 2 year old boy whos had a trach and been on a ventilator since he was a month old! We are in the process of weaning him off the ventilator! Your video is the first I have seen about someone else having a trach! I got so excited 😂
Awh I wish him and you just the best, hopefully everything works out easily!
Jikan Nenrei Thank you! We have faith!
God bless you honey!! I'm sure he will be just super fine xx 😘
Hi! NICU Respiratory Therapist here! I hope your little one can wean from the vent with ease! Lots of kids do. Whats the likelihood of decanulation in the future?
@@Rocky_lilRhody yes we are weaning him now! He’s doing 2 hours a day off the vent! The vent I’m sure he’ll get off eventually but we are unsure of the trach yet. He doesn’t have a diagnosis yet so we are unsure of why he has some the issues he does!
I honestly love your chemistry together! When either one of you talk I see you two like looking at each other and not like how I have seen other people do (which is often looking to the camera or looking below it). Also want to thank you for sharing some insights into your life. Thanks C&C
Love y’all relationship!
Lip reading takes years to master. I’m hearing impaired and after 26 years ( started at like 5 years old so 21 years) I still have some issues. Thank you for letting fans into your life. Congratulations on the home and can’t wait to see the journey to your wedding!
I don't know why I find lip reading to be soooo cool.
My brother had a traech for 5 years. And this brought back so many memories! You’re a real life hero!
I admire their openness and positivity. They have shined a positive light on this topic. God bless them! (All things possible in the name of Jesus Christ.)
Of course, you're not supposed to touch someone's trache hole!!! 😂
For one, that’s weird and definitely one of those times I’d be like, “Dude, you’re invading my personal bubble.” It's as if I were to come to someone and ask, "Can I touch your belly button?"
Like I said, it's weird.
The second is, that hole is a straight path to the person's lungs! The owner of that hole is not interested in getting YOUR germs in THEIR lungs. I mean...ew. **Shudder**
It’s really awesome that you’re strong enough to not use a trache anymore. I can’t imagine ever getting rid of mine…of course, I’ve had a trache since I was 10 months old so I don’t know what it’s like NOT to have a trache.
Well done on the video, peeps. I love the message you're telling with this YT channel. Can’t wait to see what you do next!! Stay safe & healthy!!! ♿️✌️♥️
I cried. Much love guys. Joy tears ofc. Your strengths are so amazing
Charisma's skin looks so good 😍, skincare routine video?
Thank you! ❤️ I use clean and clear from Walgreens 😂🙈
I love y’all so much everything about y’all is just amazing. I love how when Cole would have a muscle spazz and Charisma would just be like “oh spazz” and just completely back to normal like nothing happened. Then when she tried to move his leg and y’all joked about it and how his leg didn’t like that today lol and how it was fighting back. It’s just so sweet to watch y’all to see pure love between two people and how much y’all both care about each other.
Omgoodness, I subscribed because your videos are so heartwarming and honest....as a caregiver, books only show you techniques and a few possibilities of what might happen when etc., but I love that you give overviews in details of what he went through, what he is still going through, why he feels a certain way about something or changes and every changes as he progressed and because you're his wife how it made you feel going through everything as a couple, when you do things together just starting the day or any routines required.
After i was licensed, my patients became my teachers and I'm still learning and I love it more because of them. Thank you
That's really beautiful!

I just came across you guys any hour ago...I’m hooked😍the relationship, the vibe, the energy you guys give each other is unmatched I’m in Love 💕
I just want you to know i plan on showing my daughter who has cerebral palsy where she has high tone in her bottom half and low tone in her top half of her body as I think you both have fantastic information and are so inspirational my daughter is 15 almost 16 so is at a hard stage in life even though she has has cerebral palsy since she was an infant the more inspirational people there are with disabilities the better it makes such a huge difference so thank you for being so public and just incredibly amazing your helping people even as far away as New Zealand ♡
I just discovered you both on Facebook last week and I have stayed up till 1am most nights since then, watching your videos, you both are amazing and beautiful together. Lots of love from down under.
Ya know when you can just tell that two people love each other? That is in every video I've watched so far. You guys are the best couple, and I'm so glad you've found each other.
You guys look really good. Loving the hair charisma.
I instantly fall in love with your channel when I watched for the first time. How beautiful is the love. Greetings from 🇧🇷.
We thank the Lord for HIS mercies. Look at your progress. Smiling like a Cheshire Cat here.......may the blessings continue to be ! 🙏🏽
Your bravery and honesty of the presentation is wonderful. I love watching you and Charisma play and tease each other. Hugs
My mom has a spinal cord injury and she has the one paralyzed leg with feeling on her skin and one non paralyzed leg without feeling. It’s so crazy how that happens
You guys are soooo darn cute. Not only interabled but showing love not only doesn’t care about ability or disability but color. You guys are a breath of fresh air.
I seriously can’t get enough of these two!
Just the way they both look at each other u kno that they are End Game Love😍 thank you for sharing details about ur life with the world you are BOTH an Inspiration! In the way u support each other, the way u dont give up and the way u treat each other😁😁
My Dad is still fighting to breathe on his own but for now he still have it open.
I can't wait for the day because with the hole open you can't really understand what he is saying clearly which is so frustrating for him . He had a brain
stroke.
Sending you both lots of love from us 💞
Wishing your dad a speedy recovery😌🤗
@@kimsealy1704 thank you so much
He's lovely and she's lovely, I can definitely see why they are well suited. Such a beautiful couple xx
It super fun to watch their positive attitudes but i know deep inside they are struggling... sending love to both of them... youll be in my prayers!! More powers to you and your channel!! Love love love!! These two is the epitome of love conquers all..❤️❤️❤️
These two are the absolute cutest ever man!! Cole’s vibe is sending me!
Cole loveeeeee Charisma soooo much you can see it thru his eyes omg they’re so adorable God bless you both😘👍❤️🙏
I love your hair... As a black woman I fully understand the different curl patterns, hair styles and cuts! I love it and I love that he appreciates your beautiful curls!!!
Awe...teared up watching him speak again. Beautiful beautiful couple.
The love you two have is so amazing and infectious! Always makes me smile watching your videos, learning about SCI, and seeing what adventures you two are up to! 💕
Charisma, first of all great work as always with the videos and informing everyone its super important for all to understand these conditions. However, I’d love to know if you ever have those days where you are just tired, frustrated and feel overwhelmed with just being so depended upon by Cole. I love my hubby dearly, I wouldn’t change a thing about our life together but there are certainly days where I just feel drained and caring for him is that little bit more exhausting. I am not formally trained although I tried to do a carers course to help with learning how to provide care in a safe way without causing harm to myself however I could not complete it due to COVID. I really wish there was paid courses for informal carers to better improve how we provide care for loved ones.
Love you honesty and appreciate it. Honesty and truth helps with the coping. It is a good part of mindfulness technique.
If you haven't done so already, you might want to contact Medicaid. Medicaid varies state to state as far as what they will cover and the programs available. In Indiana, we have 3 Medicaid Waivers. The MR/DD waiver, the TBI (traumatic brain injury), and the A&D (aged and disabled) waiver. The waiver pays for both case mgmt hours and for a home health aide a few hours a day. Not sure if this info will help but I hope it will.
rosalyn johnson Absolutely, and I’m completely honest and open with my husband about it. It’s important that I share with him how I’m feeling and he always is understanding. In fact he’s always trying to help out where he can so I can focus on assisting him.
jackycook64 Thanks for the advise. I actually don’t live in the US, we are in Australia. We’re lucky enough to have what’s called the NDIS, National Disability Insurance Scheme, it’s very disorganised and many people don’t get the support or financial aid they need unfortunately but it’s better than nothing. We are thinking of looking into getting a formal carer for around the house but as for now his funding plan isn’t adequate enough to include this as he still is getting approval and reports done up for equipment e.g. wheelchair, adjustable bed etc. that and my husband refuses to have someone else give personal care due to bad experiences and being mistreated in the past.
@@kerryb1234 You are welcome. I wish I could do more to help. I can definitely understand his concerns. I have seen a lot and have experienced some myself. And I am very glad you recognize potential burnout and are honest about it. It is so frustrating. It shouldn't take so long to get the assistance you need not to mention the amount of time it takes to research the programs and jump through the seemingly endless hoops. You might try contacting long term care facilities. Even though you are not looking to work in a facility, if you explain, they may be able to provide info on where you could get training that will help you and your husband. If I come across any info or can think of anything else I will let you know. Wishing you and your husband the best.
She is such a ray of light and positivity. No wonder he loves her so much. I have no doubt she’s been instrumental in his physical and emotional recovery.
I paused to say we love you Cole. you are an inspiration to us all. On a lighter note. Them taking the adhesive from your neck reminds me of waxing my face except of course I choose to put me through that experience. Great vid again.
I understand about the tape. The day after a spinal surgery, the dr.'s aide needed to remove the bandages to check my incision and I told him to just rip it off, not to go slowly. Yeah, he did as I asked and I passed out cold. That tape is no joke.
She’s clearly 1000% in love with him.
Just discovered this account and I love it! My sister is paralyzed and has a ventilator breathing for her. Thank you for sharing your story x
I pray that Christ Jesus heals your sister immediately in the name of Jesus. Amen
In a time like this, it’s great to see positivity and educational moments that y’all share with us. Thank you for being honest and genuine, I know a lot of us viewers love and appreciate you both ❤️
You are such a joy to watch
I too had a trach & like you I was AMAZED at hearing my own voice for the 1st time. I've had my trach out 3yrs now and I still don't like anyone touching my hole. Although its completely healed, it is very SENSITIVE.
Cole I had a stroke that cause temporary left side paralysis. I couldn't move or feel my left side. I was petrified. I definitely didn't have the attitude you had right after it happened. I love your wonderful confidence and will to get threw anything!
You two are adorable! Not sure how I stumbled across one of your videos but I can’t stop watching you two. Cole, you’re an inspiration for all & the relationship you two have is just too cute! Thank you for sharing your journeys!
Cole looked like he wanted to chuck his hospital remote at whoever asked if anyone wanted to put their finger in lol
It’s so cool hearing you explain what you can feel and not feel. I have MS and there is nerve damage on my spinal chord. People usually don’t understand when I try to explain
Coles hole 🕳 😂😂 , I love your chemistry together, you two are such a great couple 🥰❣️🙌🏽😍
