Great Job, AVS! Watching this, I am, again, impressed with the fans in Edmonton. They are true hockey fans and have an appreciation/awareness of all hockey. They have witnessed the last games of all-time great players and have stayed til the very end to make that moment special for the players (and themselves). It would be understandable if they wanted to just flee the arena, but they stayed and cheered the Oilers off of the ice and waited for the Avs to get their trophy. Class act Edmonton. Kudos from Colorado!

No they weren't. All these network replays dubbed in the cheers, whistles and applause. I watched it live and there was a lot of booing going on from all the sour fans.

Avs players weren't sure if they should touch the trophy. They asked Joe Sakic, the legend, and he said to touch it! He touched it when he went on to win the Stanley Cup. How fitting the Avs went on to win the Cup too.

I’m a longtime Av’s fan, and yes, I absolutely thought EDM would win at least two.
Did you watch the game? Or the last 3? They were pretty close except the shutout.
This one I was expecting a game 5. Francouz did not look sharp at all. Huge credit to the oilers for trying their best and coming up short. They have nothing to be ashamed of when people all year made fun of them, they made it to the conference finals.

I'm an Avs fan, but I kind of like the Oilers now, minus Kane. It was painful watching Draisaitl hurt like that but still competing like a warrior. I'll cheer for them as long as it's not against Colorado.

Shoulder is the limit, and even if it was over the shoulder, then the high stick negated after Mike Smith touched the puck with hes stick.
@@ranacker Smith never gained control of the puck so it wouldn't have negated anything. However, watching this about 15 times I could see Smith's glove was below the crossbar, where he expected to catch the shot. My first instinct was high-stick but this changed my mind.
Avs will lose to the winner of the east. Avs can't win without Kadri and Igor or Vasse and too good of goaltenders for the Avs to match
