- This time on Project Ziptie I am introducing you to a new parts vehicle. The red XJ. This will be used to help me jump start into having a cage. This thing is well built and I have seen it take some abuse. It's gonna take some work but will be worth it in the end. I am so glad it's starting to warm up out there. @@cadilakisrodcustom crossed my mind but my other Cherokee is in really good shape and I’ve been working on it. Plus the rear of this is all smashed up

@@cadilakisrodcustom and I want to try to do some of it on my own since that’s why I’m building this to learn. Gonna cut in as few places as possible and sleeve where it fits back together
That cage is tanked. Looks like a really good chassis to go off of. It looks like it has a lot of triangulation and would take a fair few rollovers. I know the feeling with the Ice, spring is taking its time here! Appreciate the filming and inspiration.

It’s gonna be a good addition, big project but worth it! God I know the feeling, my Jeep is still in a million pieces but it’s all coming together! I need to make a new update too😝
Yeah gonna be a lot of long nights but I can’t wait to have it done
That’s how it’s done though, these rigs don’t build themselves. I work 8-5 then go home and work on Jeep till about 1130 most nights
@@FlawedOffroad lately I only have enough time to work on it during the weekends but gonna start putting in late nights now that the weather is getting better

Yeah he also has a nice warm garage lol I need to not be laying in ice and water. Hoping to be able to afford to have a new garage built this year. Maybe we need to have a collab and Mark needs to come help me out

one of my favorite XJs on youtube is Darren Parsons white pre-runner\crawler. its got a really cool hybrid exo cage. search it up for some inspiration

@@TheBeardedJeeper easily 1,200lbs on axles 40s probably weigh 100lbs jungle Jim probably a 1,000lbs that’s a lot of steel
