You’re a good dad good job. That’s awesome. Love to build something like that for my nephews got about all the parts but I don’t have any time. I just need to make time for you good uncle thank you for giving me something to look forward to hopefully they’ll be happy. Maybe they don’t even like driving like I do. Good job dad you’re an awesome dad.
It's a samurai with no frame and a custom tube chassis crazy cool the driving in reverse part is bad luck though 😅 I've seen the R1 and Hayabusa motor with a similar samurai set up but probably not a good idea for kids 🫣 very cool project, I own a 88 samurai 😊
@@Chasingtonbuilds very cool your kids going to have a blast with that thing 👏 those transfer cases are easy to break down and rebuild if you need lower gears. I don't know how many CC's that motor has, but those tires look pretty big 😁 31"?
I totally agree with you not locking the axles. For 2 reasons if you were to have the axles locked it would be way easier to roll it by accident and it would make it harder for the little guy to steer. Well, you do have power steering so maybe the power steering is strong enough to overcome that. When I locked my front axle on my samurai, I now am always fighting the steering wheel even when just going down the hard packed dirt roads. I can still steer it, but I weigh 200 lbs. I'm just saying, doing extra work for something that might take some of the fun out of it would not be a good. I think what you are doing is awesome, that buggy is cool. but yeah if that thing was fully locked and had a samurai motor in it. It would be a little bit too capable and borderline dangerous for a kid.
Hi Chase I am doing a build like this you can go find a Arctic Cat 650 maybe and turn in around and use the front input shaft it should turn the right way or find a Honda 250ES motor it should turn the right way cool looking buggy nice build too.
This will go 40+ when they’re older, I wouldn’t do a jr chassis they don’t work how they should, we’ve ended up cutting the whole chassis apart because it was too much work trying to modify the chassis to work with everything I run. Boosted metal works builds a car for kids I’d check them out
As far as chassis go this is a fabn801 chassis but for the price you can get a much better built chassis for the same price by boosted metal works out of Oregon. Jared builds a chassis that fits more varieties of motors, tcases and axles.
It does but motor runs clockwise so in order for it to go forward it runs in reverse. I’ve flipped the diffs now. So works as normal. We’re editing another video now and will be posting shortly
Both of the chassis need extensive work to be done before they’re usable with how we have them set up. The jr chassis needs a lot more than the baby did. The jr is bigger so they will have more time to grow into it. But if you are good at fabricating you’ll be golden
@Chasingtons yeah fabrication is no problem for me. I bought a yamaha timberwolf for the motor. I'm thinking about using xj axles cause I have them available. But I have a buddy that's a samurai guy that has axles for me if I go that route.
Right.👍🏽 No need to flip the whole axles though, just roll over the diffs in the housings and you will have to drill some new holes as they are not symmetrical pattern. You will get the benefit of higher pinions, and the gears will still be just as strong as intended as they will still be driving on the correct side of the teeth.
So I’ve flipped the diffs now. We’re currently editing another video hopefully we can drop it tomorrow. It was super easy. Just had to hammer out the diff housing
Super Cool! Thanks for sharing the build info .

3:00 AMEN! Too many people didn't learn to drive without lockers, and it shows!
I know you built this for the kids but the heck with the kids! I want to build one for me now lol
I've been wondering all this stuff. Subbed for mini buggy content. There's more money into this buggy than my entire toyota 😂
Thank you! We will be getting more content out very very soon
Hey Franky was cheaper than this for the first 4 years too. It’s easier to justify this when I don’t have a rig just a lame rzr 😂
@@Chasingtonbuilds i think im only like 6k into my toyota over 15 years 🤣
😂😂 hey it runs great and wheels how you want. Plus you have more projects than I do 😂😂 so I can be a little more selective
@Chasingtons its a serious problem lol I can't stick to 1 projects for very long.
Thanks for putting this out 🔥
Pretty cool breakdown!
For the reverse rotation problem you should try and flip the center sections.
Watch my other video. That’s what we end up doing
Awesome 🤙 definitely got a new sub here
VERY COOL!
Nice can’t wait love this 👍🏻
Hell yeah brother I want to build one

Check out the newest video. I flipped the diffs and installed a shifter. So now he’s running first gear and driving forward

How fast can it go? Thinking about getting parts and building one of the jr chassis

What tubing did you use
you could use a chinese cg250 engine with a shaft drive adapter
Would love more chassis details… very cool build…

@ thank you for the feedback.
@@Chasingtonbuildsif the other brand chassis is cheaper and better why do you have 2 of them?
Would it be worth a rear engine build?
My buddy is currently building a mid engine Polaris 500 motor for his kid. Definitely doable.
Check out the v twins at harbor freight maybe!
Not sure if I missed something, does it have reverse?
It does but motor runs clockwise so in order for it to go forward it runs in reverse. I’ve flipped the diffs now. So works as normal. We’re editing another video now and will be posting shortly
Turn the axles over to get the drive in the right direction
forget the kids id put a tray on the back and a tow bar and use it on my farm !
Thanks for doing the video. The wife and I are building on for our son. Would you still have built a baby lizard if the Jr lizard was available?

Sweet!!
i may have missed it but what size tuning is it built from?
This chassis 1” .120 dom tubing
Idea of not running lockers and all is great.. make kids learn from basement up.
That’s the goal. Want him to understand how to be a good driver and not just a point and shoot driver
@@Chasingtonbuilds some 2wd action be good as well.
If you flipped the axles upside down that would fix the driving backwards issue
Right.👍🏽 No need to flip the whole axles though, just roll over the diffs in the housings and you will have to drill some new holes as they are not symmetrical pattern. 👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️💥💥💥🤝🇮🇩
Am I the only one that can only hear quiet music I don’t hear him talking at all
It might be on your end. I just watched the whole video on my phone and I can hear me just fine
Watched a bunch of videos all work fine come back to this and it’s just very soft music lol weird
That’s really weird. That really sucks too haha
@@Chasingtonbuilds got is! Disconnected my Bluetooth headset and boom! Never had that issue before lol
Sweet let me know if you have any questions or want me to do a video talking about something on it
