Great video for new dart players. It is a long road to reach a good setup. My advice is try many different flights and shafts. I have a few sets of darts but with all of them i use a different setup. The one thing that probably stays the same is the weight of Your darts.
I currently use kite flights, but on my other sets of darts I use no 2s because they are longer and need better stability, I just ordered Phil Taylor G11 Vapor flights from you, can’t wait to test them out.
Fairly new to darts… for what reason would anyone want LESS stability? I don’t really understand why I might want to try other flights if the No.2 or No.6 is so unanimously the best bet in practically everyone’s opinion. Why do the others even exist if the standard flights are so tried and tested and proven to be great?
Less stability but more speed. So Phil Taylor uses the small vapour flights and. They travel quickly to the board and he can stack his darts. The reduced arch means it’s quite a direct and accurate throw hence his success. But it’s harder to master!
@ Got you. So it’s a risk v reward thing? There’s the lure of a potentially more accurate throw, but actually achieving it is extremely difficult. And for most players, the hours and hours of dedication required, with no guarantee of success, means that standard flights are most people’s’ go to?
So simpel and still a great film about flights - thank you!
Awesome video!!! Been waiting for this gor a long time. Thxs
More to come!

I prefer the big wing flights, like these from Unicorn and the molded flights from Cuesoul...
