- #MeToo movement founder Tarana Burke said the decision by a New York court to quash 2020 convictions on sex crimes against disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein is not a blow to the movement but a 'clarion call'.
Speaking at a press conference, Burke said: 'A man as powerful and as far-reaching as a Harvey Weinstein, as Ashley just described, you could not get him into a courtroom, and we need to acknowledge that'.

No it isn't, it's a clarion call for justice to be carried out properly rather than the shitshow trial by media we saw here. He's almost certainly guilty but it needs to be done properly.

To be honest, given the number of women who (by their own statements) threw themselves at him for acting parts, it seems unlikely he would commit this crime. The entire thing looks like a group of pros suing their john.

No. Metoo has made it a crime to even look at a woman. Men have been arrested for performing CPR. A blind man was kicked out of a gym for staring at women.
Metoo rules: if you see a woman walking toward you, turn around or cross the street. If you see one in an elevator take the stairs. If you see one pass out or fall down, pretend you didn't.
Oh, btw, its always been a rule to never ever get between 2 people who are fighting, regardless of gender. Too easy to get injured or killed.
