I see some people in the comments saying that the dialogue isn't very good. Being in High School right now, I can say with accuracy that yes, everyone really does talk like this.
Huh... something about this game is really sucking me in despite currently only having watched 15 minutes of someone else playing it. I rather want to play this now.
Sweet Max and Hella Nathan: i cant wait to be a useless piece of shit all day and distribute all these drugs FUCK IM SHOOTING ALL THESE PUNK GIRLS ......... I WARNED YOU ABOUT TIME REWIND BRO!!!! I TOLD YOU DOG! IT KEEPS HAPPENING
The most interesting part of Remember Me, the memory alteration sequences, given it's own game? Neat. It doesn't look exceptionally good from the quick look, but maybe it gets better a bit deeper in.
This game seems really interesting from this and the demo I played. Really thought Remember Me was underappreciated too. I'll buy this when all episodes are out
Armaan Sandhu because the only way Microsoft was gonna slap down the cash to publish his game was to make it exclusive. You hope, naturally, that 2 years or so down the line they'll let a directors cut get released on Steam but it seems unlikely
Apéritif 420 Totally not trying to sound condescending here, but how old are you? As a 21 year old (roughly 3 years older than the people portrayed here), I can confidently say I don't hear anyone around my age group talk the way the kids are talking. Sure "hella" comes into the conversation a lot, but that's only due to it being California.
This game is worth existing for the Steam forums alone with people complaining about that you can't play as a dude in this game without a hint of irony.
GamerPony and I should be listening to someone called Gamerpony? like I said, seems like a decent game but the story and writing isn't for me. I don't want to be the little modern hipster girl.
Personally, I'm not really liking what I'm seeing. Almost all the characters are extremely unlikable and are just stereotypes. Also I can't stand most of dialog in this game. I know allot of people could argue with me that this is what High School is like these days, but that doesn't remove the fact that I can't stand most of these stereotypical characters.
Well... anyone can see that the characters look like stereotypes. What we don't know is why they are stereotypes and how the writers are going to use them so it's hard to judge them on first glances alone.
This doesn't seem as tumblr as the comments are saying, but stuff like some of the dialogue and logic leaps in the story (the principle is really going to doubt that kind of threat in this day and age), along with this lip synching is making me want to hold off on this for a bit
I played "Remember Me" and want more stories featuring jumping back in time to change the outcome but I can't see myself playing this game. The story reminds me of those old "ABC After School Specials" or some pre-teen TV show where moral values are taught under the guise of entertainment. Would a full grown adult male really enjoy playing a teen in high school even with the temporal game play?
19 year old male here. I guess you only play games with a character of the same gender, race and profession as you? Stupid reason to not play a game. Your analysis of the story is clearly flawed.
They are implying that this story can go somewhere. I just hope that there is a payoff for having to sit through this dialogue. If the dialogue and two dimensional characters are simply their for their own sake then I will be extremely disappointed.
To be honest, I've never heard any of my high-school friends or acquaintances say anything like that seriously. Normally things like this are said to joke about the typical high-school girl stereotype. Though there's a fine line between saying a phrase in a mocking/joke way and saying it as part of your vocabulary.
I made it all the way to the late opening credits but that theme song. I can't. I just can't. It's like someone watched My So-Called Life and thought "hey we could totally turn that into a good game in 2015!" No, you couldn't. This is literally the most cringeworthy thing I've watched all day.
I see some people in the comments saying that the dialogue isn't very good. Being in High School right now, I can say with accuracy that yes, everyone really does talk like this.
The best quick looks are fueled by dialogue-heavy games, so keep 'em coming.
7:05 JEFF HAS THE PERFECT REACTION TO THIS GAME.
Jeff's disdain for the teacher and the games language cracks me up every time
This game is amazing. It's like TWD with tumblr!
Except with better writing
A boring linear game and a shitty social network website? That sounds absolutely dreadful.
That's not really fair. The dialogue is a little cheesy, but there's no evidence of an anti-male ideology.
Reviews are very positive. On track for leading 2015, hope they keep it up next to Bloodborne.
Huh... something about this game is really sucking me in despite currently only having watched 15 minutes of someone else playing it. I rather want to play this now.
Couldn't stop laughing the whole way through this.
I have to make my dentist appointment a bit earlier because I cringed so hard at the writing.
"Let's talk bidness. You got hella cash."
Sweet Max and Hella Nathan:
i cant wait to be a useless piece of shit all day and distribute all these drugs
FUCK IM SHOOTING ALL THESE PUNK GIRLS .........
I WARNED YOU ABOUT TIME REWIND BRO!!!! I TOLD YOU DOG!
IT KEEPS HAPPENING
Lighthouse? The most phallic of structures. Down with lighthouses, down with the Patriarchy!
"KATE TWERKS FOR GOD" was fuckin great, i might have to give this game a shot.
As someone who goes to art school, that opening scene was too close for comfort/ everything I hate about art school.
Jeff and Brad quick looks are the best......
MAX NOW HAS THE POWER TO TURN BACK TOIME
I think everyone should pick it up and try it. It's 5 bucks.
It's like a weird, coming of age, butterfly effect game.

i would love it if you guys made a let's play about this game. i really like you're commentary it's really funny xD
If this turns out more successful than D4 then I just don't understand how the world works anymore
well "Life is Strange" is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 while D4 is only on the Xbox One.
Alex Olinkiewicz d4 and this are different games there both great tho
***** I never said there the same, I just said that Life is Strange is Multi-platform and that's why it might be more successful then D4.
Swery why you no love PC?

The writing feels like a 30-something writing their idea of how "kids these days talk."
More than that, it sounds like they were from France writing for Americans
TheOtogi You hit the nail on the head.
Kids do talk like this these days.
Apéritif 420 Totally not trying to sound condescending here, but how old are you? ayeperea I'm in my senior year of Highschool. I hear people say Hella often enough that I feel it's appropriate.
Looks like another game we will remember. Just like Remember Me. Whatever that was.
This game is worth existing for the Steam forums alone with people complaining about that you can't play as a dude in this game without a hint of irony.
Seems like a decent game but do I want to play a game where I play as a teenage girl in modern times? FUCK NO.
Afraid of all the jocks that will be coming on to you? Hint: Go for the shy nerd
GamerPony Also, there are pregnancy tests in this game for a very good reason. Affects game play and everything...
GamerPony and I should be listening to someone called Gamerpony? like I said, seems like a decent game but the story and writing isn't for me. I don't want to be the little modern hipster girl.
Do I want to be a teenager in this generation? FUCK NO. but I guess I don't have a choice
From what time would you like to play as a teenage girl?
This looks fantastic. Going to pick it up when i get home.
17:56 Damn you, OutKast!
I thought it looked pretty shit from the get go, however 'bidness' and 'hella cash' just tipped me over the edge.
I hella can't wait for the reviews
This game screams David cage so goddamn hard
No real photographer would shake a Polaroid picture in development, gosh *photographer rage*
I'm pretty sure that guy just wants the main character to win so he doesn't get stuck on a plane with the other annoying girl.
I see some Illuminate!

What the heck was "Remember Me"? Kind of an ironic name, no?
There's something to this....
They are implying that this story can go somewhere. I just hope that there is a payoff for having to sit through this dialogue. If the dialogue and two dimensional characters are simply their for their own sake then I will be extremely disappointed.
Mouth movements need a ton of work. Looks like they're constantly eating peanut butter.
at least the soundtracks decent
HELLA!
The lip-synching in this game is truly atrocious. At this level of quality why even try?
do teenagers these days really talk like that? "barf" "sad face" ugh.
To be honest, I've never heard any of my high-school friends or acquaintances say anything like that seriously. Normally things like this are said to joke about the typical high-school girl stereotype. Also these are some of the WORST lip flaps I have ever seen
We have a police officer at our school during school hours. Times have changed.
why is her name max
It could be short for Maxine, or her parents just like the name Max
TheOtogi
it is short for Maxine, you can see the full name in one of the messages
worst hair of 2015 im calling it
This game looks hella gnar-gnar. Donger face.
here
Who would buy this game and why ?

It's "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" except much worse.
Wow, this game is complete garbage...
