I have 112% HollowKnight like 5 times but i still love watching other peaple play it. It doesnt matter if its for the 1 time or not. Great video this will for shure be an awesome series. Keep it up man.
It's crazy to me how Hollow Knight improved my gaming skills. I recently started playing Dark Souls 3, something I would not dare to do before, but thanks to HK I have much more confidence to play harder games. And since Hollow Knight is inspired by Dark Souls, it feels like I came full circle, especialy with the "Don't you dare go hollow" quote.
My ,,favorite,, blind experience in this game probably was in Deepnesst, specifically with Nosk. I just loved the idea of a boss that disguises himself as you. Especially because you could see him way before you actually encounter him
I love that pogos are mostly completely optional in the beginning and throughout the most of game ( there is, for example, the grub you can rescue with pogoing in Crossroads) and then there's places such as White Palace and Path of Pain, especially the last one, which requires pogoing a lot.
Awesome video! I like the commentary And I remember when I was fighting Gruz Mother for the 1st time, one of the gruzzers somehow got stuck in the ceiling, so I was locked in the room.
I kinda gave up my first hollow knight play through at around 73% completion because it started to feel boring. Because I saw this video, I decided I’ll restart on a new file to kinda experience it again and to also maybe feel more motivated to fully complete the game. I already started and I’ve played this video in the background and it’s nice hearing your tips and such. 👍
bro first time i saw that unreachable grub I jumped for literally 30 minutes and cried because I thought I was doing it wrong just to find out you can reach her later.
My first playthrough was guided by my partner, their favourite game is Hollow Knight and they bought me a copy for my birthday. I was blind to a lot of the game, having randomly watched a speedrun years ago which I'd largely forgotten, and the only things I knew were what Hornet looked like and the name Monomon (but I had no clue who she was). I nearly gave up on the game when I got to False Knight because I found the game really hard to play, the atmosphere of Forgotten Crossroads was really dull to me, and I hated having to pay to have a map to see where I was. But then... Greenpath. That was the turning point for me where I really fell in love with this game - I also started playing on controller so I wasn't struggling so much with movement and combat, and I felt like I could actually explore without my partner handholding me through the rest of the game. I also started listening to the soundtrack in my spare time and now have almost 200 hours of playtime. Hollow Knight is a truly phenomenal game. Everyone should play it. No exceptions.
Funny story with the maps: I always knew about the menu map but I never knew you could press tab for a minimap so it was kinda the other way around for me. I sorta skipped the dialogue and saw the map in the inventory and assumed that it was the only way to access the map
The first time I played the game I played only to half of greenpath before dropping it. I thought it was just fine. Then I saw a streamer play it, making me remember about its existence. So I tried it again Its my favorite game of all time now :)
i remember playing this game until crystal peaks after the desolate dive part, and stopped for quite a while, like around a month or two, but when i came back, i never knew that this game would be the best game i have ever played in my entire gaming history
Hollow Knight changed my life. After i finished the game i started watching your videos of Hollow Knight and it was sooo great! Love your videos soo much Miles!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💚💚💚💚💚💚
I remember one day I watched a video about Hollow Knight and I immediately said to myself that I had to buy it. Even though the game intrigued me, I played it very little at first, not for lack of interest but for lack of time. I remember immediately wanting to buy all the items of Sly and I found myself killing the enemies of the forgotten crossroads over and over for hours. I was able to buy the lantern and reach crystal peak and the resting grounds before greenpath which was quite funny because few people do that and I really thought it was necessary to progress in the game (I missed the baldur at the greenpath entrance). I remember being really bad at the game at the very beginning but I always loved difficult games and I definitely wanted to continue. Hollow Knight is very special. It made me understand that I was capable of achieving many things. 6 months ago I hadn't done anything and today all I'm missing is the pantheon 5 with all the bidings at the same time. I've been trying for 3 weeks and I hope to be able to do it before silksong comes out. Even if I don't succeed, I'm extremely proud of myself and that's the most important thing. I already love this first video, it brings back lots of memories from my first playthrough. Thank you very much Miles 💕
Hollow Knight was my first video game in many ways. When I say I died and struggled… I couldn’t figure out how to jump in the tutorial area in the first 5 minutes of the game.👀 I died to the aspids in that little spawn “boss” area outside the hot springs MANY MANY TIMES. I also didn’t understand the shade was ME and avoided the areas of the map where I saw mysterious glowing eyes. I spent 20 hours in forgotten crossroads.👀 Eventually I went on to defeat the second appearance of a certain boss in Kingdom’s Edge first try. Currently sitting at 108% and hoping to reach 110%.😅 I love watching play throughs of this game and the voice mod is fantastic. Looking forward to this new series from you!🔥
I only just defeated the Radiance on my first playthrough last night, but I remember that I went the COMPLETELY wrong way into Fungal Wastes, I found it through the Forgotten Crossroads and took that long-ass route to the mantis village and died a billion times, it pissed me off so much.
I think entering from the Forgotten Crossroads is a little bit faster actually, however you will probably miss Cornifer this way and you'll have to navigate without a map
Always love new Hollow Knight content! The first time a played I was so sick, I think I had a fever. So the first time I heard the Gruz Mother sounds I almost threw up.. still was an amazing first playthrough though!! :')
my father told me to play hk, but i didnt wanted to. then i saw my father playing it and it was so amazing! after that, i have already played hk 3 times
I first played hollow knight on my cousin's switch, and I was just going around forgotten crossroads, and I saw the stag and I was like "hol up this guy is cool!", I then proceeded to get false knight jumpscared and spent over an hour dying to false knight :(
One of my fond forgotten crossroads memories was when I couldn’t beat the gruz mother so my older brother had to help and he beat it so easily I was amazed
So I guess I'm gonna share a bit of my experience with this game (text wall jumpscare): First of all, I started playing this game 5 months ago. I wasn't totally blind to it, but my only experience with it was Sample's challenge video where he beat the game without getting soul, and that's kinda it. So anyway I was bad, like REALLY bad at it, which made me really impatient and I constantly watched UA-cam videos (mostly for bosses, to know how close I was to be done). And while doing that, I stumbled into your area ranking video (really good video btw), and I was like "ohhh that seems interesting, can't wait to watch that when I'm done with the game". But I'm really impatient, so obviously I didn't wait to finish the game and watched it... multiple times. Anyway I guess it spoiled me a lot of stuff (deepnest, infected crossroads etc) but I didn't really care that much, going blind into them probably would've made me rage even more lol Something else that I guess is noteworthy is that my favorite part of the game by far was the exploration/worldbuilding/mapping etc. Meaning that I never bought the compass (not until after finishing the game anyway, and even then I think I have never equipped it once), and not only was it really not that hard to get around hallownest this was, but I found it also really fun to constantly have to think about where I am on the map, and I personally think that was the most fun part of the game by far and it's probably what motivated me to continue through the game instead of just giving up and watching a playthrough for the rest of the game lmao
Honestly before playing HK I watched thousands of gameplay videos so I pretty much knew everything but the first and all bext play-throughs were amazing and literally today I beat p5 for the first time! btw, thank u for the content, I really love this
I can't wait for the next episode, I love how you dont cut a lot of the video i think thats always been something i dont like in lets play videos. So awesome, 10/10 video :D

Months later, I bought the game, but for some reason It wasn't exciting at all and I stopped After 4 hours, then like one month Ago, I was bored and decided to install the game back, I made a New save and rushed It untill I got to soul master, when I managed to beat him first try, somehow I got even more addicted than I did on my first playthrough and now I already have all the achievements except for pantheon of hallownest.
First time i played it i just randomly walked around, i think killed gruz mother and quit, then later went back in and got to false knight which is a boss i loved so much i started looking for a guide which wasnt the best choice but i found Windy's guide which didnt go that far so it let me normally play the game for like 2/3 of it. On my second playthrough rn and some randomizer ones.
I love you Miles and your content. I also wanted to be a channel like you, but my voice is too cringe and I dont know how to edit well. But great video anyway, it gave me so much nostalgia
Why not give it a try, eventually when you make more and more videos, you'll get used to your voice in videos. As long as you love making videos, it shouldn't matter :)
I found out about this game through UA-cam so most of the mechanism and lore have been spoiled. Plus I'm still in school so I can't buy it myself. Hope I can experience it myself one day.
So, in my first playthrough I've got a dream nail rather late and had a lot of grubs gathered already The first grub I've dream nailed turned out to be a mimic in deepnest so I thought for a while that all grubs are empty want to kill me and whatnot lol

Anyways, can’t wait to see more 🩶 Edit: also wanted to share one experience I had bcuz why not. My first time playing, I knew nothing about the game. I died to the mega husk in front of the grub in crossroads twice and rage quit. A few years later I saw the fireborn speed runner vs hunters with superpowers and got back into it with Windettes guides. Hundreds of hours later and this game will probably be permanently locked in my top 3 video games of all time. When Skong.
I bought Hollow Knight in a shop in Liverpool during a 2 week long summer scool trip (I'm from italy) and now i'm trying to complete it. I have to do the pantheons and the hauter's journal and I don't know if i'll ever be able to 100% it
