So many big cities have problem areas close to railway stations and docks. Historically such areas were home to less attractive trades that serviced travellers. This leads to such areas being less desirable as places to live. Thanks for sharing.

I heard from Reporters, that almost every 3rd Teenager carries a knife there A good friend of Mine lives near Billstedt, in Horn. He said He Always used To Go To Billstedt But Not anymore because its gotten too Dangerous. Now He often goes To St Georg
Das Stadtviertel hat sich verändert es war nicht immer so ! Leider ! Ich habe lange in Hamburg gewohnt dieses Viertel war immer anders aber erst seit 2014 wurde es wirklich extrem. War dieses Jahr mal wieder da , ich war geschockt . Schade das es so geworden ist. Der Hafen ist immer noch so wie er war👍

So eine lüge😂 in den 90ern war st georg viel schlimmer. Damals größte offene drogen szene europas, babystrich und mit Abstand die höchste kriminalitätsrate du hast keine ahnung wovon du redest also bitte sei leise mit deinem afd gelaber
I would not say it is Dangerous .yes there are a lot mixed cultures in this street the Turkish have been here for decade's this is also a Red light erea so lots of sex shops. So it is a bit more edgy than other more Tourist parts of Hamburg .you also have a large LGBTQ community . There is an excellent Cinema Savoy that shows English langauge films on their original form. Lots of great Eating out to be found. Yes it can be rough in place's with a lot of Homeless people are the Central Station. I would not say its any worse than Hamburg main Sex and Club district Reepabahn but St.Georg is far more diverse in its population .were as Reepabahn and St.Pauli as become gentrified to the point were its as lots most of what made it special .everywere as its dodgy erea's

Yes that's true. For me it's always interesting visiting Steindamm and after that Lange Reihe which couldn’t be more different.
