I have to agree, the whole build came out so nicely in the end! The length and form of handly looked perfect for that particular knife, even though it was a neat little blade. Just great work!
I love your vids, the fact you work with a narration I great. I watch you while I work so I know what I'm doing. Don't stop your format, really informative.thank you.
It came out beautifully. I love the fact that you tell us exactly what happened and why you made changes to your plan because you could easily just say it came out exactly as you planned. But I appreciate the tidbits of what you did to make it work even though it didn't go exactly how you wanted it to. That's good info.
Ok so first off I am really glad to see I am not the only one who has a hard time holding on to hot metal! What an awesome build video here! I loved the ideas involved with making this knife. I had never before seen anyone attempt to forge weld steel on end and forging the tip was a cool procedure also! Really liked the no metal bolster hidden tang design! A+
This is the first video im watching from you and im hooked. I love your calm voice and all the information you pack in there, its almost meditative, rly enjoyed it!
Nice! I like the looks of that knife. It would be cool to see some 300 layer Damascus for the power core and a rugged looking bone handle. The mountain man blade. As always, awesome work my friend! I really enjoy watching your videos. I have learned so much. Enjoy your weekend!
Wow! Purposely making a "fish mouth' to make a good point🤠. What a Tubal Cain! Great! By the way, when stuff goes bad in Kentucky we say "it went north."😉😃(Not really!)
How about a coffee etch??? ( didn't read the comments so don't know if this has been suggested, or if it would even work with the steels used to make the blade...
Question, why didn't you just make the core piece in a dagger shape and then cut the 1084 down the middle in a negative dagger shape and then wrap it and weld it that way? I have always seen this type of knife done that way.
I've seen that too. I'm sure it has it's own challenges, as I mention in the video, with the need for forge welding pressure on 3 of 4 sides to get everything welded properly.
that's more of a hunting knife, not a puukko. we don't put flat grinds, we use scandi grinds. also it's a bit too wide. take a look at a mora amd you'll get a pretty good idea of a puukko
That's all the knife you need for all of your hunting, nice!

turned out really good, i love it! :D
Nicely done. I've had the same experience with cold blueing, unfortunately, and am seriously considering going to nitre blueing instead.
The wood might be Sweet Gum. Some bubinga looks like that too. Good looking knife!
Looks like a flame 🔥 ❤ Fire Creeks new logo?😁🤔
if you could choose one steel to make the rest of your knives, what steel would you choose?
As of the time of this question, it would be 52100 steel.
@@FireCreekForge Thanks for getting back to me!!
i really should be doing some hw but this is much better:)
Is it true that if you hammer your bevels in your knife holds a better edge?
All other things being equal, not really.
Bom trabalho, só faltou uma Guarda!

Do a serpent in the sword or wolfs tooth pattern. Great little Knife though and some great forging.. Cheers Martin
Could you put the cable inside a canister with powdered 15N20? A lot of work though...
Yep I'm sure you could do something like that too
hi , may I ask you from where did you get that cool grinder please?
My belt grinder is a KMG from Beaumont Metal Works
@@FireCreekForge many thanks master
Nice broo👍

@@FireCreekForge yeah that's true, I was just wondering about it. You do great work on everything I've seen. God bless

Surap [demitre shivenko (sp?)] does this like you do. referencing you coment near 7:30
I've seen him do this with motor cycle chain for the core, not sure if he does the same with solid pieces, Ii expect so..
Try a coffee etch to bring out your pattern more.
Ootko sä suomalainen? Are you from finland?
Overall you’ve done a great job of the knife , it looks really good. However that off centre handle pin does spoil the look of it a bit .
Instant coffee?
Человек не чувствует процесс ковки
It's pretty cool knife but very far from a puukko
Dont know what it is...but it aint no puukko.
