This was fantastic! I will definitely hit the woodshed with this one. Jerry is great and I have many of his recordings! 🤠

I feel the hardest part of all these songs is to play them at full tempo for the full three minutes. It's easy to pick on the intro parts, but actually playin the full song thats where the workout kicks in. I remember when I did my Jiffy Jam cover, it was so hard to stay on the beat. Jerry makes all these songs sound so easy and he is playing them in such a relaxed way, its barely reachable to us common guitarists.

Yeah you did a great job of that though! I bet if you come back to that tune it will feel easier, I find it simply has to be relaxed muscle memory stuff or else it’s hard to play ‘tight’! I actually played Jerry’s breakdown at gigs years ago and admittedly it was killer though keeping relaxed!! Such a phenomenal player!!

Adrian I have learned so much from you. Thanks for Galaxy 500, you should teach the second part of solo. Thanks man!

Hi Gabriel, no worries! Glad you’re enjoying! I’ll most likely post the second solo straight to Patreon because not many people on UA-cam are going to learn it :( so it will be a very low view count.

Jerry got his style from same place Etta Baker got hers. Then added his own ...like many mountain people did. Etta Baker is a awesome guitar player she started playing guitar at age 3 and played up into her 80s.

I just checked out Etta Baker and it frustrates me so much that I’ve never heard of her until now! So thank you so much, and keep spreading the word.. another great woman player hidden in history .. or at least to my ignorance! I’ll be sure to bring her into the conversation. I recently put out a Travis picking video I think you would quite enjoy too, be sure to check it out!
