Read a stat that between this race, the Truck race, the Xfinity race, and the Cup race... about 80% of the cars/trucks had some form of crash damage that weekend. That tells you something now doesn't it...
@AnarRamazanov-po5le I'm not 100% sure that that's exactly healthy for the drivers in the first place, but let's pretend that they can, what kind of track? I'll be able to make a better statement from that If you are saying a 1000 mile Oval race at [insert favorite intermediate here] the 400 and 500 mile races are already 3-3.5 hours, do you really think TV will give 7-8 hours of their time to broadcast a race? Are the purses bigger since they're buying twice as many tires?
……maybe create a division in the IMSA series and the 38 or so Cup Cars could race the 12 hours / 24 hours with all the other IMSA series cars. Might be something that could help both series broaden their audience base and yes, I’ve seen 24hr. coverage of the 24hrs. of Daytona so, T.V. might cover other endurance races with Cup Cars in them. Not too unpopular of an idea.
@@AnarRamazanov-po5le 1,000 kilometres is 621 miles. The Coca-Cola 600 plus a few overtime laps, basically. 1,000 miles is ... quite a distance. You'd need more drivers; each team would need at least two and likely would want a third or even fourth.

Thank you Randal. I appreciate that buddy!
As a reminder, this was not the last Clash held at Daytona. That would be the 2021 race on the road course.
I probably should have mentioned that. This is obviously referring to the Super Speedway and non Covid times.
Every time people say we should go back to Daytona I just think of this race
The Busch CRASH at Daytona in 2020

Only great thing about this race was it had a good winner. I love Erik Jones
You should do the 2019 nascar truck series race I think only like 9 trucks finished that race of 32 and really only 5 were competitive at the end
that was just like that one scene from hot wheels acceleracers breaking point: ''two cars are faster than one''
Christopher Bell waving at Hamlin screaming ‘draft with me, Monkey’
I always thought the segment set up was backwards when the race was at Daytona, would’ve been more exciting if the race gets shorter at the end
And don’t forget about the 2019 clash when Jimmy Johnson wrecked just about the entire field in turn 3
This race was infinitely better under the lights

Wish it was still a 20 lap sprint with the previous season’s pole winners.
