Thanks for takeing us on the journey dude. Be cool to have an interview with the drummer on how important a tech is etc and what he looks for . Enjoy the holidays man.
Considering that the drummer is Luke Holland, he kinda started on UA-cam, I wouldn't be surprised of him being down for that.

Yea they’re very important. Without the tech they would t be able to lounge around before and after the show.
I feel like a small Corgi strapped to his chest; I don't really know what's going on, but I like hanging out with this guy. And I wanted to eat that burrito.
This is the best comment the channel has ever gotten.
Matt horn is best drum tech on UA-cam and I wish I was like matt
Sounds like something Matt would say 🧐
No it's mathabo

Nothing beats your videos brother - the consistency, what feels like like the calm nature of being back on tour, I love these videos so much man. So much micro-knowledge & little bits of expert level teching I've taken away from only 5 months of watching your videos than I'd learnt by myself, teching for myself, for over 10 years! I really hope you continue these videos for many years to come for many others to find inspiration!
Those stage hands at the end seemed really polite and on it! Impressive!

It's so refreshing and such a welcomed sight for literally sore eyes to watch a video for once that has excellent image and motion quality.
Excellent work as per 👏. Very dedicated and attention to detail. You are also a great drummer Matt.
I’m a drummer working locally as a backline tech/patch/and stage hand. Really appreciate you doing this. Had a tour drum tech show me those snare weights. They do work really well.
Loved the videos as always. Would love a little story time video of the crazier things that have happened while drum teching.
Great vids Matt, well done
bro, that sound check had me entranced. It must have felt so good whacking that snare! Sounds amazing
Another killer vid Matt! I enjoyed seeing the difference in packing up for the end of the loop.
Feels great to watch your vids bro
Great as always!!!
As always, I made it to the end. Thank you for putting these videos together. I look forward to seeing more videos from you soon.
Maaaann it definitely hits different when the ENTIRE kit gets taken down at the very end lol it warms me a lot but I enjoyed the ride through this journey 💯🤙🏾 I really did 🙌🏾 Thank you Matt for the experience 🙏🏾
P.S it was only right for one last time I had to the battle drum March and groove with you lol🔥🔥
Dude, this is awesome. This is in my town ! And I was at that show and saw you doing ur best work! 💪👊
Awesome vids bro, totally appreciate it.
Thanks for the videos!! Love when we get to see you play with the crew, you have mad skills dude. And that salad was on freaking point my brother
Changeover Birds are quickly becoming my favorites. I just cackle every time.
This series is the closest thing to asmr I have ever experienced. Thank you for taking the time to document this!
Thanx dude for great tour! 🤟🏼
Made it to the end of course. Man, i really love these videos. Looking forward to more in the future. 👍
This way too cool.. thank you for giving us a tour.. love this channel.. this is a dream job for me.. cheers!😁
Perfect timing, get to relax and have a watch before showtime tonight!
Floor tom sounded like a sonic boom. So clean, good job Matt, hope you have a good Christmas and New Years
Man I love your videos. I recently had the opportunity to work in a big festival at my city and it was my first time at a show as big as it and I was in backstage like “Oh man this looks just like Matt’s videos” lol. Big inspiration, I try to learn as much as I can from your vids, hope you keep doing these in the next tours! Happy Holidays ma man!
Love these type of videos! Never really knew how much work goes into setting up these sets. Can't wait till you guys roll through St. Louis, MO!
Absolutely love these videos from Matt. Been following him for years an dude really is a master of his craft, the fact that one of the best drummers of the generation like Holland has had time and time again as a drum tech shows a lot as well. Much love an respect an I hope his fame continues to grow and grow. Only saw him perform once the TWA an duck he played with a lot of heart.
I watched every second of it!! Thanks man!! Very interesting and I enjoyed it very much!! Greatings from Berlin, Germany.
man, your channel is amazing!!! What you show us is a great learning experience... You show us what it's like backstage, you show us the routine of a roadie (which is fun but a lot of work), and it's inspiring (at least for me), because I want to work with it. You're great!
Hail to Brazil!
Damn i love these vids! I always get an urge to give my drums som extra love :D
I hope you will continue with similar videos.
Damn I haven’t been able to stop watching these videos. You seem like such a cool dude. Rock on bro
Very nice! Love this video
love u bro , God bless u & awesome job , congrats
i was layin on couch just back from the room with the band, and i've red ''POV A Deley in the life of a drum tech'' ! lol you doin a great job on tour man, and you gave us many tricks to set up our own instruments to get ready for a tour!
when the soundcheck foh sound you get fed back into the stage sounds that killer you know something is absolutely on!!! omg those shells sound K I C K - A S S
the whole kit just is a beauty! thanks for the video again matt 🖤🤘🔥
Awesome video as always. Can't wait for the next tour, which is going to be massive with that headliner. That slaughter to prevail iem rig looks massive beside the drums. Even though I get it, everything I assume is connected to that rig. Would've have like to hear Luke's opinion on snare weight. Next tour quick release wing nuts, Tell dw to send you some!
ps. I remember you said on past videos you didn't like neon gaffer...looking at the rig must have drove you crazy lol.
Thanks again man! Made it to the end :).
Thanks for sharing your passion! Amazing job but sure exhausting !
Cool man!
Thank you for the vid!

Thank you Matt for your videos. Great ASMR!
ThankYouMattForyourVideos.
GreatASMR!
Thanks to you, I always play In Bloom whenever I sit down at any kit now. It was subconcious too I just realized the other day.
Hearing the sound of that new snare head being stretched was weirdly satisfying. Great video!
That was a great watch man...thank you!
🙏
ThatwasaGreaWatChman....
ThankYou
Matt! Love the videos! However, it would be great to see you in the catering room more! Definitely one of the best parts of the videos!
Not a drummer but love these vids, so relaxing! Thanks Matt!
Gonna go buy a snare weight even though I don’t have drums, they’re awesome 🤘🏼
Awesome video as always!
AWesomeVideoasAlWays!
patiently waiting!!!
Always amazing how easy the artists have it. The drummers already in the hotel or bus having a drink.
Your vids give me life. Thanks man.

Interesting how you work as a drummer myself. Keep uploading videos. I love that kit! 🤙🏻

It would be really cool if you did a “day in the life” during your rehearsal in’s and out’s! Most people don’t know the prep it takes for tours this big.
Another awesome video of an awesome run. Can’t wait to see the next one thank you for bringing us into it!🤘🏻
man, i love these videos, looking forward to more set ups on the next tour, and would love to know if Luke liked the snareweights over the gel, would also be cool to see some of the other techs pov's too
He loved the snare weights!
Those are different battle drums. I love this content. Keep it coming!
Thanks for sharing. Appreciate your works. See you in 2024. How’d Luke like the snare weights. Think the drums sounded great this episode 🤘🏻✌🏻
Brilliant idea using the stuff that company sent you while working!!! That plays really good!
So loving your videos! You are obviously a well learned Drummer yourself! I so enjoy your world. Keep on doing what only some of us can dream of doing. I also enjoy the downtime you use. Can I ask what personal game player you use to play that game you play?
Great video
These are one of the best videos on UA-cam. Could you maybe do an overview about the drummics ?
Great Choice on the Kreller Donut! Really is the Tier 1 of the Donut world.
The st agustine amphitheater is awesome!
I was like, who do I know with a gold kit, an ultra hammered china, and an A mega bell? Then I heard the heel toe, and saw the shaved head. A Slaughter/FIR concert would have been so cool to go to. I look up to Evgeny so much, I even bought the same pedals he has so I can learn what he does.
I love the light bar casually swiveling back and forth during the extended crew jam… 😆

Thanks a million! You inspire a lot, and I feel I’m picking up tips and tricks every episode. If they drag you off to Norway I’ll do my best to attend :D FiR got a new listener all due to you! (Ie, salary raise bargaining material ;) ) have a good holiday, can’t wait for your next tour, whichever band it is :D also, #lovethebirds
#LOVEthebirds! 😂
Love the set up but really love your little total set up playing
As a physics major I was surprised that Snareweight called the weights , drum dampENers. They don’t make the snare wet (dampen), they reduce ringing ( damp ). It is a common mistake but drives my physics nerd mind crazy.
Thanks for the great videos!!
Hahaha! I can't speak to the dampening assertion, but your comment cracked me up because I'm a neurotic nerd as well. Unfortunately, my neurosis is far more douche-y; grammar patrol. 🤦♂️
Like using "less" instead of "fewer."
Or "that" when it should be "who." ('The drum tech WHO makes the great videos.')
It's "all right," not "alright."
And don't even get me started on the proper usage of "bring" versus "take!"
The English degree synapses within my stupid brain can't help it. And the fact that I'm a mediocre writer makes it 10 times worse. 😂✌️
Loved the video ❤️. I was just wondering where will the drums and all stuff go after the tour.
This video is fuckin amazing. I’m so glad I found the live music tech side of UA-cam

Muito top esse conteúdo! 🇧🇷
It's like my meinl dream omg 😭 lso thank you for doing the most I love FIR still have the first ticket from there starting tour at the summit in Denver you do the most bro and you definitely deserve everything for this behind the scenes I truly hope my band cimbs close to this far and can have an amazing person like you as a tech thank you for thi content it's inspiring and amazing
As I sit in my cozy place in Redondo Beach California I recall the days of gigging. Had a blast going as far a did in the cut throat music industry . But watching your set up and break downs and how its really not a healthy workplace . So maybe I am better off not getting " There" But it is cool to be home with a brew and a joint see you doing work and reminding me how much fun it was . Thanks
23:46 awesome, never thought of using drum triggers that way
I´m using Snareweight for quite some years because the tone and fatness of the drums stay alive! Always hated how Gels ruin and mute the sound to much. If I see these gels I get pissed off in some way haha. Happy you discovered this brand! Love the look and functionality of it!
Always return
Wild to hear FOH de-tune that snare while line checking 😮
Honestly, it'd be A-ok with me if the entire video was bird song. Except for the tuning. And the crew's jam sesh. Oh, I forgot about the gates/triggers tutorial. Catering needs to be raw audio as well.
You get the point! The bird song beneath the teching footage is the unexpected happy place my soul has been yearning for.
I support your stance on salads 100%.
Are your in-ears Shure 425s?
See you on down the road! In the meantime, my your life be blessed with exquisitely crafted Reubens, the sandwich of champions.
The "birds.wav" change over is so relaxing.
Love those snareweight m-80s.. been using 1 for a few years now
Man that kit sounds soo good even just through the camera.. i need to get different heads or something
Thanks for all the details. Really use this: with 6 rehearsals a week and 1 gig, I am walking around with stuff all days. Missing floor tom was shocking. This last show of the tour there was a different atmosphere; people were like anonymous looking around; perhaps to see if there was something out of vision/control. Watch extra a. with more than 1 crew/band and b. at last show. Some people are jealous of your batlle and some should have known there was no light / fire show so ....we can take that floor tom. Did see this last time some people were showing they also know things about your job and ...who will be tech next tour? Some of the crew did support you very good! Thanks for these video's.I also think there is a kind of competition between main act and crew and supporting act and crew.
Greetings from indonesia dude.. such a cool presentation for drum tech... keep it up ..
Great video as always. I have one of thE ASUS ROG ALLYs also.
Thing is a game changer for tour!
See Luke stoped to holla at you after he was finished. See that’s some real stuff. That’s why I respect him and I definitely respect you.
Just played my final show of the year last night too, what a year !

Imagine someone not knowing the reason for the birds... Killing it as usual Matt
And that show was with Slaughter to Prevail. That show had to be badass.
33:03 Here comes Evgeny Novikov from Slaughter to Prevail. This guy is a monster! Just take a look on the surface of his Trick Dominator's footboards
Feels quite sad to see you tearing it all down instead of tucking up the riser for the next show. Great vid, as always.
