      @robertmattice2588NeverTooOld , my friend lived in Crystal and always found early military relics. There was an encampment there at one time...

    I know where a house fell in, probably 40 years ago on Walnut. Was Vansingle property, but I don't know who owns it now. Would be a great hunt. Another place might be by the Cemetery at 88th and Oak. Was a settlement there.

    I was waiting for the police to approach you at minute: 2:07. Glad they didn't. New hobby? Newaygo seems like a pretty old, historic area with all the logging from ages past. Have you tried the river banks? We only have a pointer detector for copper rock hounding.

      @@midlifetravelers6151 I have detected there before. Checked with the city and they said it was ok. Think it was because of the farmers market. I started doing it during covid. But since then. I only go a couple times a year.
