Romain, you are doing Indycar such a great service! You are showing the whole world that Indycar grid is full of interesting, hardy and remarkable individuals, be it drivers, engineers or anybody else involved. Indycar has a potential to attract international viewers and you are one of the contributing factors.
ill be honest, i had no idea who romain grosjean was before he joined indycar. but now he is quickly becoming one of my favorite drivers as he is using the access he has to his worldwide following being a former F1 driver to bring more exposure to indycar through his channel. seriously, you are interviewing different drivers and engineers, while also showing us a day-to-day ground view of what goes on with teams and drivers. its straight up awesome! this channel by itself is doing more for marketing indycar than the league itself is doing for itself. THANK YOU!
uh . . . he nearly burned to death as his F1 car exploded and tore in half two years ago in final race of season . . go watch on YT . . was watching live . . quite a few vids; watch HIS interview one as he describes minute by minute (his foot was stuck in the mangled wreckage as flames consumed his car.)
@@Chris-bm5qd You don't have to watch F1, but if you do like car racing you at least know some stuff about the highest category in motorsport, unless of course if you're american and only care about oval racing
F1 french fan here , learning the Indy environement for a few years now , and thoses videos help A LOT ! More and more interested every week . Good job sir ( and not even mentioning the kindness of thoses guys ! )
We need to hook Romain up with Tony Stewart. Throw him in a sprint car and a guest driver on the SRX series! Tony will put him in anything with wheels, maybe even a drag test! If fact, that's a great idea for a line of experiencing American Racing. Very cool to get the real side of Conor. I will forever think differently about him when I see him in a car that's for sure. So great idea Romain! I'm loving this - No one, is doing this.
Please keep doing these. In Europr we've only really just started to see Indycar personalities with the Peacock Post race coverage. This just exposes more of the driver personalities.
Great content Romain. Really enjoyed this with Conor. He seems like quite a character, which is refreshingly different to the F1 paddock, In a good way obviously. Keep up the great work.
Great to get these interviews for the European fans! Didn't know Conor did GP2 ! For next interviews, you have to do Pato O'ward. He seems a lots of fun!! and why not Graham Rahal ;-)
Another great interview. Thanks to your interview, I have a brand new appreciation for Conor Daly now. And even if you don’t drive, I still suggest that you at least go to the Chili Bowl to watch.
Connor is always fun. One reason damaged cars are put back out if they can be repaired here in the US is most series here award points for every position, unlike F1 and more European type series. So even if you’re 14 laps down, but someone drops out with more than 14 laps left, you’ve gained a points position.
Great interview. Saw Daly in Austin at 2013 during Buxton's bash and he was very down to earth and up front about his career, F1 chances, etc. Been keeping tabs on him since! Love this video series you're doing, keep it up.
Great content Romain! Keep doing these please. It’s such a great way to introduce IndyCar to those that don’t know it well and an enjoyable viewing for those that do.
Thank you Romain. These interviews are fantastic. Loved the one with your engineer. It’s a great way to know the drivers and sport much more thoroughly. I hope this helps grow the IndyCar fan base. I love the days I can watch F1 in the morning and IndyCar in the afternoon. Keep it up. Thanks again. Hope you have great success.
Great interview , Conor met my mom on a plane, she instantly became a fan. Go get that 1st win in Indy this year, your equipment keeps getting more dependable and you've finally got the speed it takes to contend at " The Greatest Spectacule in Racing" I know these things, haven't missed an Indy 500 since 1975 , and 75 was my 2nd one .
thank you for doing these, Romain! it is so nice to see the vibe in the indycar paddock and the fact that these genuinely feel like conversations between friends great editing in this episode too
About 3 years ago my than 11 years old son asked Conor if he could have his hat. Conor said he can't do it but asked his PR lady to go in the trailer and bring one for him. That made my son's day and Conor is one of his favorite drivers. All I want to say is thank you Conor...
ROMAIN!!!! Another excellent interview! I learn something new about racing with each interview you do. NBC should use these for their Indy Car telecasts!
I had no idea Conor was the son of Derek. I was in school and watching F1 and have seen Derek race dozens of times - I've been a fan of F1 for 50 years. Thanks Romain, I've been investing some time watching indycar highlights and have been enjoying it. Especially as everyone isn't so corporate speak as F1 is.
I like the way ya'll are... Chill. I know formula one is an all different level but the guys really act too much like divas. Even you Romain 👀 Même toi parfois tu avais l'air bien plus fermé. It feels more genuine in the US, more open, cool. Gotta love that.
CD is hilarious! Awesome interview GRO love these videos and i wish the best of luck at Mid-Ohio ill be there watching and cheering you on. Ill have my HAAS swag on hoping you got a merch hauler there so i can get that new 28 DHL gear!!! You da man, cheers!
Great interview! I like both of you and I’ve been following your career from your early day is an F1 Romain. It looks like you’re having fun over here and I am really happy about that. I hope things keep going well and that you have some big successes coming to you in IndyCar. Most of all stay safe and enjoy. I hope your family is having a good time here also
You should interview Charlie Kimball, he's got a lot of stories and a fun sprirt to go along with it! He can talk about qualifying for the Indy 500 last year and being a commentator for indylights.
Conor has had some big smashes in his career. I remember in his early career racing in GP3 (now F3) at Monaco he went airborne heading out the tunnel and only the top of the fence stopped him doing an Ascari and going for dip in the harbour.
Viewer #20 well done; love this interview; hope we will hear about CD's Hot Tub incident in next interview with him! Bur RG: so happy you and your family are here; all the love and respect; GREAT VID
I wonder what make and model motor home Roman has. Very unusual dash setup behind Conner. Unlike Connor I saw his Dad race F1 in Vegas in I think 1981 or 82.
Awesome dude who has really been fcked by those 50/50 moments; which unfortunately happened for him during the worst times. I hope he wins Indy one day. You know he's going to be one of those lifers who will retire from racing yet still run at Indianapolis until his body cant take it. So yeah, itd be a great thing to witness & i hope it happens for him one day
Interesting, I thought catheters were not super common but a regular thing for all types of racing series. Interesting that it's the more endurance ones where you'd need it. But the Indy 500 is pretty long, imagine having to pee at lap 180.
They just go in their suit if they have to. Some drivers do it every race. Other go their entire career without doing it But normally they sweat so much in the race theres nothing to pee
I really love this. Romain is showing that he is a personable and friendly person, even though he is an aggressive driver on the track. I don't believe being aggressive is the same as driving dangerously. The Indycar media was really pushing this narrative that Romain is a reckless and dangerous driver but the truth is much different.
the fact that romain knows that the chili bowl exists officially signifies that he has completely embraced the American way of life

Love to see you have Jimmie Johnson on. Be interesting to hear his take going from nascar to Indy compared to your F1 to Indy.
Definitely would be a great interview! The crossover driver interviews. Love hearing their insights.
Conor is just the nicest guy out there, a guy that you wanna be friends with
All my love to both of you, you guys put a helluva show for us!
Well done! Conor Daly is one of my favorites to watch. If INDYCAR gave an award for “Best Driver to Have a Beer With”, Conor would win it.
My favorite thing about Indycar compared to F1 is all the different livery/sponsor changes.
Great interview, Conor Daily seems like a riot to be around ! Never knew of his road to F1 and driving in Europe very cool !
