I remember when I heard "Gloria" without knowing him. It was a magnificiant song when I was Young. He was there with his songs during the 60's, 70's, 80's 90's the last decade and now. He is a great Artist and I like his work from jazz, folk and rock. He is an Irish Icon reflecting the times where we are living - easy going or with deep aspects, romantic - typical for Ireland - thankyou for sharing your music with us.

Yes, Dylan and Cohen are brilliant too, especially lyrically, but musically Van is streets ahead of them, as he is in how he uses his voice as a musical instrument.
