Can't believe when I was growing up we had Coisty, Gascoigne, Laudrup, Gough, Goram and others all in the same team. What a time to be a Rangers supporter.
The mid nineties was the best time all round.
There hasn't been a decent Rangers shirt since the France inspired one of 1996, save perhaps the 2000 away one.

People forget just how good Andy Goram was - his 1992/93 season is one of the best seasons that any top goalkeeper has ever had.

Best player to wear a Rangers shirt in my lifetime. I'm 60 now and first saw him playing in 1978 as a 14 year old. On his day he was simply unplayable. He could've played in England but luckily for us he was a Rangers man to the core. Sadly he passed away too soon.

As a Celtic fan I can’t disagree with these picks. I saw all of them at one time or another. Could even have picked Sandy Jardine in the back 3. A great player.

John Brown for me was better than Terry Butcher, at least in the partnership with Goughie. I love Souey, and would have him in the team too. But instead of Durrant, I'd include the player Graeme recommended to us, Tugay - the most complete midfielder I personally saw at Rangers.
Coisty and Hateley our best strikeforce, but loved Mo too.
My favourite ever player is Jorg Albertz - I'd have him ahead of Baxter 🔴⚪️🔵.
That midfield is extraordinary. Obviously would have Super in, but he couldn't pick himself.
Yeah he really should have picked himself, but hes just being humble, for me him and hately was a formidable partnership, i still remember the way they took leeds apart at ellend road in the 90's
What a team by Super Ally. An alternative to his team for me with none of his starting 11 could be a 4-4-2 of Klos, Stevens, Nueman,Amoruso, Weir, Steven, Wilkins, B.Ferguson, Albertz, Hatley Negri. Subs. Woods, Roberts, Van Bronkhorst, Walters, Prso.

that's a pretty tasty team! Definitely agree about the midfield.. Souness was a titan, Gascoigne capable of pure magic, Laudrup playing a Bergkamp role.. never heard of Cooper but will look him up!

What a team, only change i would make would be to place mccoist up there with hately because what a pairing they were
we might not have had them at their peak but Gattuso won CL and World Cup, Gio captained in a WC final after scoring the winner in the semi-final.
Cannigia was a legend, Numan was one of the best LBs in the world, Henderson was one of the best wingers in the world, Micheal Mols pre-injury was one of the best players I ever seen in a Rangers shirt and Marko Negri is one of the biggest what ifs we have ever had and wee Barry was outstanding.
Klos deserves a mention for GK, he has been overshadowed by Greigsy and the Goalie but he was a World class Keeper.
Big Dado was a personal fave, loved watching him play for us
Ally up top before DJ, but it’s perfect apart from that.
Take a drink every time SuperAlly says Phenomenal. And he’s not wrong.

Laudrup is the first name on the sheet and Big Hateley close 2nd.
I don’t think people understand how incredible it is, that Graeme Souness makes an all time 11 for 2 teams.
Souness, in an all time Liverpool 11, is the Captain, hands down. That’s how respected he is, as a Liverpool legend.
@@AffectionateBambooForest-hj8uj Stevie’s more of a leader by example rather than an actual leader. In our best years, Carragher Was the vocal leader and the organiser of our team. Stevie was the example set to the rest of the team of what the standards are.
Souness is absolutely the captain of the All Time Liverpool 11. He embodies everything required of a captain.
What a team. Watching the Rangers teams of the 90s was a real treat as a lad.
My team based on the players I've witnessed in my lifetime would be Goram - Tavernier - Gough - Brown - Numan - Laudrup - Gascoigne - Ferguson - Albertz - McCoist - Hateley
Can still Remember Davie Cooper in my Dad & Uncles Printing shop, in Hamilton, and at their club Hamilton Avondale. Quiet as a mouse - did all his talking on the field. Always liked to score from a corner kick and was lucky enough to see him do it on a few occasions, including his first goal at Ibrox against Clydebank, of all teams !!! Legends Live On...

That's a pals team!! A few wouldn't make it in my team but no way would Derek Johnstone be in a top 5 great Gers strikers. Slow & mechanical like yourself but with they greats supplying, Billy Bunter would get 200 goals a year.
Kloss not getting a mention. Better consistency in my humble opinion than Goram. Numan was class, McCoist and Hatley up front all day long.

On the day of the 1998 World Cup start the TV played the entire 1978 Scotland vs Holland World Cup game and Souness was unbelievable, passing balls left, right and centre like a Prosinecksi. Controlled the game. Yet in the 1982 World Cup we were screaming at the TV take him off. Souness said he ate something in Mexico and couldn’t play.
Is he Souness at Liverpool, or Souness at Rangers? Because if its Souness at Rangers he was past his best.

I used to love the SPL in the mid 90s- early 00s. As an Englishman nobody at school wanted to talk about it ha. Both old firm had some great sites then.
Saw Baxter play many times. He was different class. Only Scottish player to be selected for a World team; twice.

It’s actually ridiculous how many top tier players Rangers ( and Celtic for that matter ) had during 80’s - early 00’s!
Even as a Rangers fan I can state that in my top 5 best players I’ve ever seen in the SPL two of them were Celtic!
The top 5 I ever watched were Ally McCoist, Brian Laudrup, Davie Cooper, Henrik Larrson and Paul McStay!!
