The avionics are made by Thales, who also supply Airbus.
@@CraZy291 And, because this is Thales equipment and not Airbus equipment and Airbus does not have patent rights on this equipment, SSJ 100 does not look like Airbus, but both of them are similar.

I know exactly zero about airplanes but to my ignorant mind that Russian plane has a very nice clean control panel to it, which I like.
Sadly, that Russian plane’s control panel has nothing to do with the manufacturer. The controls and avionics were contracted to Thales Group, one of France’s largest aerospace and defence contractors.

Forza223 Bowe bombardier and airbus are now sharing the CS100 or the A220 so maybe some airbus genes?

He volado en ellos varias veces con Aerofłot. Excelente avión. Los problemas en Latinoamérica han sido por mantenimiento y partes no por desempeño del avión en sí.

+Shaun81000 Seems like it’s this way an all Sukhoi SSJ100s. I assumed the operator changed it on the GPWS, but it seems to be standard. My guess would be so that the pilot flying has a better idea of the descent rate, and since his eyes are looking at the end of the runway and not at his PFD, he can land a bit more precisely. Just a guess...

It's actually one of the loudest jet cockpits I have been to. The packs on that thing is ear bleeding. They must have some kind of noise supression
Ok because the cabin noise in the video is unbelievably quiet, but you right the may have some kind of noise reductions on the audio.

@@RedGunBullets It's mind boggling. Spend all of that time and treasure to build what by all accounts looks like a very nice airplane, but then blow off the entire "after the sale" support network that has to come with it.

Damn! If their pilots are that handsome/beautiful, I can only imagine what the flight attendants look like! The plane is impressive but a bit boring. I prefer a little more old school flying. Now I want to go to Campeche!
The FO said twice it was a short runway and would do a 180 turn at the end following full reverse thrust , but since when was a 8200’ runway short ? . A 747 could comfortably land on that strip , and additionally a 180 turn was carried out at mid point , so clearly it was more than sufficient to handle the landing .

@pepe well, reading that old comment is quite cringe for me, i would have never wrote that now, BUT the aircraft was jointly developed and built by Sukhoi (russian) and Superjet (italian). In fact deliveries are done from Venice airport and civilian test flights are done with an italian reg (ex I-PDVX)
