You can't pass forward with your hands in rugby or knock on forward but you can kick it forward. Provided the player is behind the kicker when the ball is kicked he's then able to chase the ball and make use of it without being offside. It's a tough sport in general, but the most common injuries I suffered, other than broken bones was scrape marks on my legs from the opposition's boot studs.
Salute bro! Sounds like a heck of a sport!
@@NAIATHEDRAGON There are a few videos showing the brutality of Rugby in the old days. It's a lot safer now than when I was playing in the 80s and 90s. Try this one if you fancy a good reaction "The MOST BRUTAL RUGBY VIDEO You Will Ever See | Tackles & Big Hits" Take care bro!
The USA are playing Portugal this Friday 18th November at 10:30 in the morning Eastern time. The winner of the game goes to the World Cup next year. Definitely worth a watch, even if it’s a bit complicated at the start, the commentators should explain most rules when a penalty is given etc
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Portual won at the very end of the game.
@@suffern63 yes I know, I wrote it before it had happened. Was a great game though
Basic prinicples ball must be passed backwards, carried or kicked to move it forward, only player with ball can be tackled and ball must be placed down behind the goal line to score
Tai tuivasa the heavyweight played in the nrl too which is the highest level in rugby league
For someone first seeing rugby as a sport , u have a good eye on the ability of the players and there skills. I played the sport for 30 years from the age of 10 amuture . Love the sport being welsh in my blood m8
At 9:44 that was the USA (red) vs South Africa in a 2007 World Cup game. The guy that the #14, Ngwenya, left behind was Bryan Habana who was regarded as one of the quickest backs in world rugby. South Africa, one of the powerhouses of world rugby won the game 64-15
To score a try (worth 5 points) in rugby, the ball carrier actually has to touch the ball on the ground under full control which is where the American Football 'touch down' originates. Sliding in can be the best way to do this when under pressure although occasionally it can be a bit of 'showboating' as well. The scoring team is then entitled to take a 'conversion' kick at goal; it is kicked from in line with where the ball was grounded, so it's worth getting closer to the posts to make the kick easier (if it is safe to do so); a successful kick is worth two extra points.
the flick between the legs was King Carlos Spencer a great 10 and played for the great All Blacks
World Cup starts in October, my friend. Only happens every four years...
Just in time. Make yourself at home.
We can offer you... er... Beer. Oh! And we have beer as well!
Kia Ora bro I’m from NZ, what a great reaction if you would like to watch more rugby there is so many teams to watch. NZ Australia, South Africa and England have all alot of good players
Jonah Lomu from NZ was great to watch, if you would like to watch his link I paste it below
You should check out USA vs NZ 2021 rugby highlights (1874 cup)
nice
rugby is very structured not so much rugby league but if you are looking for a mental sport where anything goes - look at the AFL - that is aussie rules footy only the aussies play it - its their number 1 sport and the athleticism they have to have to play it and the rules are mental also with no pads and the gear is skimpier than the rugby gear
Rugby skills please
That was a good reaction, Rugby League isn't just about the big hits there is also a lot of skill. Can you do a reaction to Shaun Johnson The Lightning Footwork Warriors he plays NRL and is known for his side stepping (jukes) he played for the New Zealand team the Warriors here is a link ua-cam.com/video/o9d_d_FbKGU/v-deo.html you will like this as he is also a playmaker and kicker, has the highest points for New Zealand in international games and also Warriors highest point scorer, enjoy
This isn't the best tries, the video should have been call "The Most Important Tries" (a lot of the tries in this video were to win games)
