I feel like there was a kind of anime adjacent style to this, with like, varying levels of pastel. the eyes were smaller, and sometimes maybe kinda diamond shaped, like in something like invader zim, or code lyoko, or megatokyo... the old youtube animation "draw with me" is like, peak that style. but sometimes it's soft pastel emo stuff, and sometimes it goes in more of a goth or punk direction. lotta angel or devil wings, sometimes striped or fishnet arm warmers, band tshirts, studded belts? maybe a plaid skirt or baggy cargo pants or something? definitely if a character had a sleeveless shirt with a baggy turtleneck collar, that was it. vocaloids were drawn in this style. this is a fact. if none of this rings a bell I'd be shocked.

Like a year ago I "achieved" my artstyle but then, I got bored, and even though I was tired of just drawing always the same way I didn't want to try new things because "that's not my style". Now I'm struggling with my art skills and styles 😂 but the good thing is that because I moved on and tried new things my anatomy, color and skills in general have improved. I hope my experience can help you 😂😊
@@sazukick i had something similar happen to me, lol. like most people, i started by drawing things in a generic anime style because that's what seemed easiest.
then i was like 'wait a minute i'm not even interested in anime tf am i doing' so i tried a more cartoony, sharp style with more vivid colours and it helped me a lot ^-^

Anthros are so hard, I feel people don’t give people who do them well enough credit. I myself am not a furry, nor can I draw them, but they are SO HARD!

There's also that one style primarily on tumblr where everything is super based on shapes. Super angular and simple characters and usually has like neon eye strain-y colors. Oddly specific but it's everywhere
