This video shows the repair of an XBOX One S motherboard with a badly damaged HDMI header - most of the pins were ripped out from the board meaning a new port couldn't be installed. Can we fix it?

Keep going mate! I watched your videos in Jan 2020 and was hooked. In March 2020 because my contract ended at Jet2 and pandemic I started a repair business (in York) with what i had learnt, buying faulty consoles and repairing and selling them on ebay and now I have customers. Thanks to people like you I was able to make a living doing a completely different job during lockdown. I'm a contract Microsoft programmer and since been able to get back into work but i'm still doing the console repairs on the side :-) Thanks Andrew!

That's really awesome to watch, thank you for showing. I'm learning loads... just discovered your channel, venturing into 'fixing things'. Fed up with old electronics breaking. After watching this, I managed to repair a broken usb connector inside an old IP baby/security camera of mine.
I had thought it was impossible but after watching you repair this and repair the tracks - thought I'd have a try and trace the contacts (the pads like this were stripped off completely). I managed to trace the board and a solder + and - to the pads (data not needed and also the connector not needed). Sure enough, it fired into life! Thanks, look forward to working my way through your videos.
It great when skilled people share their knowledge, thank you!

@@AndrewPaul You're welcome 😄- It really is a great feeling... I'm trying now to learn to understand faults and finding them. It's a whole new world to me (I have very basic soldering/electronic skills).
I'm finding it really interesting... thanks!

I’ve missed you mate! Just a tip from a fellow solderer. When I run jumpers, I press with a razor blade below the solder joint then wiggle the wire, then the mix of cutting with the razor and cracking by bending doesn’t stress your solder joint.

I use a Ts100 as a daily and that would have no issues repairing what you need. Update the software and it goes to 450°c

This is the second Xbox HDMI board repair video that ive watched today, and I find it amazing that both tell people to not wick side to side. I would think that if someone has to be told that, they have no business doing this kind of work. Let Darwin sort them out.

THank you for your business, what you are doing for us on UA-cam!
I have a problem with my ps4 slim, Iit is SAE-004 board, and it shows error ce-30391-6. I replaced CMOS battery, but no help . It logs out automaticly and does not keep time and date set up. also one of the usb port does not work, when I plug in it usb drive it blinks (usb drive) but no access to storage, if I plug controller with cable does not blink/sync/work/charge. Only U can save me in this trouble

Hang in there Andrew, next month we should start to see things return to normal and we will be getting our jabs in the 40 to 50 age range, then 30 to 40. Although I suspect we will see another wave in the U.K., with any luck it won’t be half as bad thanks to the vaccinations.
