Political answer: "Because the ANC havn't been running it for a few years" (Try that on some South Africans, especially those from ANC-run KZN, to get a bitter laugh of agreement) Good pronunciation on 'Gqeberha' btw :D PE vs CT: Mostly the people. CT is _so_ clique. PE people are actually friendly. Honestly, large areas of Durban are a lot like PE, except a bit less well maintained.
Amazing how white people like you want to continue dividing Africa, white Europe unites . PE is part of S.Africa ,whether ANC runs it or not .PE is in S.Africa not Europe
Emi, thank you so much for the video. My dad was from P.E and I spent my early early years there with my Gran, lakeside... such awesome memories of sardinha bay.... always used to get a footlong from the German man when we went to play on the beach... damn, thank you for radiating the warmth of that special place
I think if you don't understand why PE is great, you'll never understand it. And the fact that so many South Africans don't think PE is great, is why it remains such a gem for those of us who love it - It keeps it peaceful! ☺ Also, Emi, it's so funny that you should mention that God sent you there, because the first time and second I moved there was because God had called me to work there for my church. It changed my life and became my favourite city in South Africa. Also, when I was there, I saw God everywhere and in everything (especially at Sards 🥹).
What a AWSOME story of how you came to SA!!! I have never been to PE,But iv been to Cape Town,Durban and plettenberg bay and Plett was by far the best!! way more relaxed, better weather all in all,and the people are also really nice down there! Me and my family were making plans a few years ago to move down there, but sadly those have faded..... But we still would love to move there
Well... did not expect that! God is good! Some of my fav spots: Settlers Park but go in day time and in a group :) PE Golf Club has some nice walking routes, golf is good too. Air Force Museum, always has cool planes they are working on restoring. We even have a haunted house!
Funny enough even tho I grew up there I haven't been to majority of the places you talked about🤣. As soon as I'm back I need to go shoot short films there lmao
Awwww! I love PE too!!! I lived in Cape Town and intensely disliked it and moved back to PE. I just adore it. The people, the weather, the chilled vibe!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am from Gqeberha [Port Elizabeth] but I have had the opportunity to lived in Midrand and Randburg for 7 months and visited Cape Town five times. I struggle to make new friends in Midrand and reconnect with old ones from around. Cape Town is beautiful but it felt so foreign /European. I still would visit but the people in Gqeberha are friendly and more trusting.
Oh yes, PE is it's own little city and so charming. It has been around since 1820, thanks to the cheek of the British government in 'finding employment' for a batch of workless families back home - this within about ten years of London taking permanent control from the Dutch of the Cape colony. Hence also East London has a 'British label': Port Elizabeth's name change doesn't convince everybody. A flourishing, small city, today. The diversity of South Africa is so huge, that just like in PE, we can stay busy all over SA in town & country all year long, and that doesn't include the safari with the wildlife. The Christian heritage here is fundamental, and is also cross cultural, yet enjoying one's own culture is the insistence of most of us, too: praise the Lord.
My hometown ❤️. Currently in Pretoria. Was home just briefly this past week. Went for lunch at Something good roadhouse at Pollok beach on Sunday. Miss PE
Great video beautiful daughter of Christ, thank you for showing the beauty of SA and PE. I must admit, I dont know much about SA (outside of the negative press) and PE (knew so little about this that I thought PE meant Pretoria), but this video showed me how diverse and beautiful Africa really is.
Yes, we in SA can use too many colloquialisms! The diversity is so huge we can stay busy in town & country all year long, and that doesn't include the safari with the wildlife. The Christian heritage here is fundamental, and is also cross cultural, yet enjoying one's own culture is the choice of most of us, too: praise the Lord.
Thank you for sharing such an amazing video, I am from Cape Town ,I have been everywhere in SA except PE , one day when i see you , do not see it strange if a tall dark guy hugs you 😂😂🎉 blessings
Of all the Cities in SA, PE is the most like Cape Town. Like a mini neglected version of Cape Town...lol. I'm from CT and live in CT, but my favorite place in the world is Namibia, and I can't explain why either. It used to be extremely safe and friendly (relative to South Africa), and I've hitch-hiked up and down the country multiple times making friends along the way. Some good friends I made from there were from PE.
To me remains nor place nor time; My country is in ev’ry clime: I can be calm and free from care On any shore, since God is there; While place we seek, or place we shun The soul finds happiness in none; But with a God to guide our way, ‘Tis equal joy, to go or stay; - Madame Guyon
Hey! I live in PE and i know afrikaans so that message in the beginning said "who makes PE fun?" I dont knkw what they meant by that but im guessing its a hater😅😊
That is a such amazing Video I love that! And Yes PE is secret best place!! That is Why We call Friendly City powerful What God Call you He got good plan for you and I can’t to see again my friend!😊
I Moved to CPT, and I miss PTA, the weather sucks, the people are not friendly, and lastly I have never in my life met so many homeless people before, I keep wondering, why is it this bad.
Okay, after twenty four other letters. Your English can improve, start your (whatever form you’re communicating in) with questions, more questions and then continue on with answers; All of which only you can provide less answers to. My IQ is 168 and emotional (EIQ) IQ is 168 too, and whatever your EIQ and IQ is, is in that exact order (again yours EIQ then IQ) and mine being (IQ then EIQ), yes and all the way to our genes.
"flippen South Africa" the girls basically South African already. Once the linguistics get you, it's over, next video intro "awe awe ma se kinders, ninjani mhlobowam"
"where God takes you, and places you, thats the best place for you"
I've never seen someone talk so wholesome about P.E, thanks for showing us some appreciation (I'm from gqeberha btw)🥺

South Africa truly is a beautiful country. Thank you for giving PE some deserved love :)

Sards is awesome until you get there and realize you gotta walk over those dunes 😅
Love you! So authentic and sincere 😍😍😍
aaah beautiful video, and lovely conclusion.
If you ever visit Durban, I highly recommend you stay in Balito. It’s a very convenient area to be in. Zimbali’s also great.
PE, GQ, Bay, Baai, Windy City, Friendly City, iBayi....... Thanks for representing
Awesome, keep up the great work. Love the editing and lighting in your room.
thank you 🙏🏼❤️

Your storytelling and documenting is crazy for someone who has not been in this industry for long
Appreciate that 🙏🏼😆
Thanks Emi to enjoy our EasternCape Province Gqeberha City(P.E) May your future plans be successful in anyway 🙏🙏
Aweh Emi ❤🎉 PE on the map.
Well said 👌

Dude, what a beautiful testimony... His ways are far greater than ours.. 7:54
Too many nice.
Hi Emi, great video. You are so happy because you obey God🤗. What do you do to support yourself?
May i ask, what's the name of the film school you go to?✨ also at a film school in Gqebz
You live a blessed life, because you choose to see blessings. You bless our home, because we believe in blessings.
May you live a life of grace :).
Emi the best infrastructure is in Joburg, Tshwane, Durban,Cape town, please cover those🇿🇦🙏
Its crazy how I've lived my entire life in PE and haven't even been to these places
SAME!! i probably only went to 3 of the places mentioned 😅
❤
Listeb, as a PE native. do we have the best city ? no. but there is alot less stress this side compared to the other big cities
#1 fan of Emi
Ma'aaam! Are you currently part of a church in PE? If yes, whichhh?
what about durbz
???
haha Thought PE sucked until 9:45 min ago(well a great part of me still does lol), never wanted to go so much really😂😂😂. Thanks Emi.
Hahahahaaa
What does PE have that Cape Town doesn't have? Actual friendly people. Capetonians don't even like each other, let alone other people!
To me remains nor place nor time;

PE people are indeed the "naasest." Also the rent is lowwwwwwwww. Also, looks like we are in the same church family!!! 👋 Hi!
Ay I love that! 🤍🤍
pe.... The friendly city😢... pE is love!!!
Salute for PE
P.E the Friendly City❤❤❤❤❤
I just love you though. Your jovial, happy soul is just beautiful. Stay as sweet
thank you! 🤗🫶🏼
Also, you forgot to mention that the water is much warmer than Cape Town side, them bloody capetonians think that they kak gold haha
very true
PE is sort of becoming a mini Cape Town. Just the local government is not as good as CT.
People who say PE is boring you should try living in JBay.
Hey! I live in PE and i know afrikaans so that message in the beginning said "who makes PE fun?" I dont knkw what they meant by that but im guessing its a hater😅😊
Great video! And agree with how God leads us. Do you happen to attend Father’s House?
🤍
Noo I don’t go to father’s house 😁
Beautiful girl , nice watch .
That is a such amazing Video
I love that! And Yes PE is secret best place!! That is Why We call Friendly City
powerful What God Call you He got good plan for you and I can’t to see again my friend!😊
Thanks friend! :)
I just want to be your best friend
Almal weet Tweebuffelsmeteenskootmorsdoodgeskietfontein issie beste plek in SA
P.E is nothing compared to Cpt , period. Let's not be dishonest with ourselves now people 🚶
You're definitely vanniekaap
The friendliest people in the World.
I Moved to CPT, and I miss PTA, the weather sucks, the people are not friendly, and lastly I have never in my life met so many homeless people before, I keep wondering, why is it this bad.
And have peakocks at hospitals...
Just don't visit Durban's downtown. You'll be dodging all the trash piles in the road.

Yep 🫶🏼
"flippen South Africa" the girls basically South African already.

South Africa could be the best country in the world... but the only way to get there is to turn to God the Father and unite.
You had me until the God part.
Why not give God a chance?
Honestly it's ass but PE suits you
