    Is there ever an old theater not haunted by the ghost of its projectionist?
    The old P&A Theater in Northville, MI was haunted by the ghost of their projectionist who died mid-feature many years ago.
    My friend Sue, who worked there, swore she had seen him. And she wasn’t given to flights of fancy.

    My grandpa grew up in Marietta from the 30s-40s. He grew up in a very poor area with POC. He told me many a haunted tale and tales of fishing when the river would flood to feed his whole neighborhood. His uncle was killed and thrown off the bridge to West Virginia. His dad would fight the Krishna. I’ve always wanted to visit.

    I grew up near Marietta, and still live about an hour away. I have family that still lives there. My ancestors (Stacy's) helped to settle Marietta. My uncle lives at Point Lookout on Harmar Hill. I love walking around Marietta and visit the museums and antique stores.

    I live in Parkersburg just down the road on the other side of the bridge. Everything in these parts is haunted. And it really ticks me off that the house I bought, originally built just prior to the Civil War isn't haunted.

    Marietta has seen a lot as there's evidence to suggest that Native Americans had also used that area decades to centuries before it was settled by white folks. There are (or were) a number of mounds there.

    • @CuriousHistoryYT
      @CuriousHistoryYT  3 місяці тому

    Absolutely fascinating and, like all your videos, very well presented!
    So many spirits remain in the places they either loved during their earthly lifetime, or where they experienced terrible tragedies. Throughout history that has meant there were and are some very sad spirits around, some forever trying to prevent terrible events that played out long ago.
    For example, in a suburb of Birmingham/UK there is the spirit of a woman still frantically calling the fire department from a phone box due to a fire in her house that cost her children's lives - during the war if I remember right. The city had to move the phone box (it's gone now anyway, what with everyone having cell phones) due to the numerous reports of sightings. Having lived nearby for a few months, I remember this story very clearly and how terrified the staff at the nearby train station were.
    Nowadays however, with so many people being utterly insane due to the promotion of insanity (pro-perversions propaganda etc) and the irresponsible dishing out of mind altering drugs by corrupt doctors, there are more and more reports of insane spirits. Not much is known yet about the activities of this new kind of restless souls, this being a very new phenomenon, but it doesn't surprise me at all given that most days I am lost for words when observing the bizarre behavior once considered mad but now forced on the population as "normal" under the guise of "inclusivity".
    While so far we had to deal with a normal mixture of good and bad spirits, with some being helpful and actively preventing disasters, we are now confronted with a new kind of ghosts that we don't even know yet what they are capable of... not exactly a comforting thought!
    But with this - how are you guys keeping?

    My former brother-in-law came from Marietta. Their homestead was in the affluent old historic district. And they acted affluent. He was a notorious womanizer, as was his father. Each maintaining as many as seven or eight women at a time, none for very long, except their wives, throughout their lives. While they all had an odd formality about them. Possession might be considered for those that live in such places for generations. They all had the same cold peculiarity for friendliness, sociability, personability, and manipulation that made you want to withdraw. What Victorian attitudes might look like in the twentieth century, without the morals.
