    JRL FF2020 with magic clip staggertooth cutter & gamma+ thin fade blade 💪🏽
    I have all the other clippers in this video except the new SC Instinct but I feel the above combo is 🔥 and gives me the blurriest fades.
    I changed my red boost+ fx limited to gamma+ fade blade and magic clip ceramic staggertooth cutter which is also fire. But less crunch on ceramic than steel.
    Plus JRL has dual speed and slow setting = better for fading.

    I have /used (and my other barber) the Stylecraft Rebel but like many of us the on /off switch button experienced a lot of problems, and I think Stylecraft will need (if not already done) to re-adjust that. My clipper is dead, we change the switch didn't last any longer. Maybe in the future video, add the Durability section, which might be good. Any other barber experienced the Rebel switch problem? (4 barbers in the shop and we all 4 had the problem..not just 1 clipper random..)

    I know experiences with certain products are isolated but I just returned my Babyliss Boost Plus for charging issues only after two cuts. My SC Rebels are going strong without any complaints. Rebels are lightweight and the ergonomics are stellar. The clippers do get hot faster than the Babyliss Boost Plus though..due to the plastic housing

    I always try to find solid reviews from professional users who have more time on the tool before I purchase an expensive product. I did that before I bought the “best clippers of 2022”. The Stylecraft Rebel. Cool clippers…lasted me 4-5 cuts on my own hair. Then the motor went to hell and the blades would just rip my hair out. Literally just shaving my head. I was willing to pay more for something that would last, but just got ripped off. They went in the dumpster. $200 I lit on fire. Now you are pumping up the new $250 instinct as the “best clippers of 2023” and Amazon is already littered with complaints of the charger not working or the motor crapping out after a couple months. Some people got clippers with hair on the for $250. I’m starting to wonder if the reviewers are being genuine. Nobody ever mentions any of this on the cons because it would kill Stylecraft sales. SC products are a trendy design and they are trying to carve out market share so they need good pub, but I don’t think they are building high quality products. They don’t last.

      I bought the instinct when they first came out and by far its still #1 rn my motor did crap out after a while but they replaced it and since then theyve fixed the main issue that caused them to do that but even after I bought SnapFXs, JRL Onyx, used the Rebel too i really dont like it, had the lopro, had the master and the magic clip and honestly the instinct shits on every clipper ever😂

    i realize ur not a wahl fan & thats fine, & i realize gamma/sc is a sponsor, so it comes as no suprise to anyone that ur personal favorite & the top ranked clippers on ur list are almost always gamma/sc's, so i get that & thats cool, in fact im thrilled to see companies like gamma/sc & babyliss giving the big 3 a run for their money & inspiring them to reach higher, because that benefits us all ...but in all fairness, gamma/sc has left a foul taste in my mouth, so that just goes to show we all have our opinions & our leanings & theres nothing wrong with that... but i must respectfully disagree with u on the new wahl clippers ...that new gold magic clip is NOT just astethitcs, they battery life is not as impressive as some of the other machines, thats unfortunately very true, but the power level is WAY BETTER & MORE POWERFUL compared to the sluggish feeling of my old anniversary ones & my old burgundy ones... from a power level, they feel more like my trusty seniors, its like they put a staggertooth blade on a senior clipper... its a night & day difference! ...& despite the lack of shiny skittles color options, it is made by wahl, so at least we know they wont rattle &/or fall apart from poor build quality, or immediately need to swap on another brands blade just to make them usable... but there again, after 30 years experience behind the chair, thats just my personal opinion... but i will whole heartedly agree with u that andis has lost their way & lost their minds! ...but as always, i enjoy the videos & thank u for sharing ur personal opinions. merry christmas & happy new years dude... thank u

    • @danielvelkovski3156
      @danielvelkovski3156 Рік тому +1

      @@BobaDavis Cordless seniors are my #2. Stylecraft Mythic (my #1) with the rebel blade put on it is a whole different beast. Cuts through bulk like nothing and blends fades so easily. Good battery life and nice clickable notch lever. I get it this guy is sponsored but stylecraft doing something right (even though they may be produced by another factory slapped with their own branding) Lots of similar ones out there with different colors. Check out TPOB. The TPOB mini skull is $35 and looks exactly like the stylecraft uno that’s $53. Why pay more for the same clipper/trimmer if you can find it for less. Hoping someone else can confirm that.

    • @BobaDavis
      @BobaDavis Рік тому

      @Daniel Velkovski Well, both the Cordless Seniors and Mythics cut through bulk like it's nothing but the click lever is actually a disadvantage. And I wouldn't rely on a $50 equivalent because it's likely unreliable in its build.

    • @danielvelkovski3156
      @danielvelkovski3156 Рік тому

      @@BobaDavis Yes I know. But I added the Slim Blade I believe was the name.(One thats on the Rebel) and it cut way better than stock on the mythic. The cordless seniors had trouble with my beard. The mythic with the new blade cuts right through no resistance just need 1 pass. I love the lever but pretty sure can be modified so it’s loose and doesn’t click on the notches. I did more research. If this ever breaks Im trying TBOP next cause they look like the same as stylecraft with better pricing. I wonder if there’s a conflict of interest and that’s why we’re not seeing him mention them 🤔

    • @BobaDavis
      @BobaDavis Рік тому +3

      @Daniel Velkovski From what I know, he rates what he uses. As for the Seniors, I can't rate a clipper by what it does on an individual beard....that might have more to do with your guards than the machine. There's nothing the Mythics do that the Cordless Seniors weren't already doing, except cost more money.

      Absolute Alpha was my first (high end) or (fade) clipper. It preformed good until I put on the gold titanium blade with the faper blade on. I think the speed of the motor and the faper blade makes it SUPER forgiving(which is what you need starting out) After those changes. Don't get too caught up in motor rpm's yet!!! A client of mine bought me the mythic and it is absolutely amazing but not my favorite fade clipper. Great for bulk removal and regular taper cuts but not for fades IMO. You absolutely should invest in whatever trimmer speaks to (AS LONG AS YOU CAN PUT THE ONE blade on it). God bless man, remember, have fun, be thankful, keep pushing, and keep it movin!

I think it's in the top 3 reasons why people stick to a machine. Metal body 1 point, Lever quality 1 point, cam follower quality (how fast it gets noisy) 1 point, charger quality 1 point and on/off switch quality 1 point.

The best part of what I just suggested is it will not break the bank, even though you could spend more you would not get any additional performance for somebody using it on themselves. You can use the code Eddie you will save 15%.

    I don't know about giving the Babyliss boost low stars for its price and value. It comes with a clipper, trimmer, and charging stand for both of them.
    Buying a clipper and trimmer separately is usually over $300 (close to $400 in a lot of cases). You are getting a combo set for less than $250. That is a good value.

    Dude, I can't believe you just nonchalantly threw major shade on the gold Magic Clips, they are not your average maroon Magic Clips. The gold ones have a way better motor, very similar to the beloved Wahl Seniors. The gold Magic Clips cut better, they perform better with bulk, are definitely more powerful, yet they still produce great fades with the crunch blade. I know for a fact that these gold ones are more than a step above the old maroon ones. Give credit where credit is due is all I'm saying.

    looking to upgrade my Surkers, have had em for about 2 years now. I use them every 2 weeks at home. Mainly for Beard trim ( I have 4 inch length beard, so mostly on the sides and freehand). I also use them for low fade for my hair.
    Any recommendation around the 50$ mark? The Surkers were around 30 when I purchased them.
    My Andis LI clippers died after 2 years use and thats when I got the Surkers.

      I actually use Surkers because they were rated so well and I needed to supply a few salons with several sets. They really have held up for about 3 years now. I was pretty impressed with them being so cheap and as a set clipper/trimmer set. I use them in assisted living facilities. They have gotten a ton of use.
