Thank you so much!! I really needed this. I’m looking to buy new clippers and trimmers and I had no idea the difference between them all. I really appreciate it!
I'm familiar with Wahl and Stylecraft systems and machines, but Babyliss I was never knowledgeable about. I had no idea the FXpro clipper motor was that slow. It's comparable to the Magic Clip. I always thought Babyliss was premium everything, hence their prices. This shed a lot of light on the hierarchy of their models. Thank you.
I appreciate this video I love babyliss fx trimmer and I dropped mine and its time to replace it. Im new to the barber world and I want to get into babyliss clippers, this video was very informative ! Thanks
Glad we can help! If you’re cutting in a shop, it helps to have one of those rubber mats to stand on, it may save a couple clippers when your drop them and it’s a little easier on the feet
Hello. Great video. I'm pretty sure you know how long exactly a single battery lasts on the snap fx clipper and Trimmer, but you didn't wanna mention it just to take care of babyliss. Keep it up ❤❤❤
So the best option would be the standard blade to handle bulk and lining up. I am worried about the blades dragging around the neck area causing irritation.
clean freak like myself i def prefer the snapfx, also bc the ASMR but boost is prolly the best bet. i wonder if a rubber grip can be on the snapfx. much needed explanation i learned alot 💯
What about the fxone that also has an interchangeable battery? I believe that one came out before the snap fx. Is that one the same as the boost and snap?
Hey any thoughts on the wahl magic cordless clippers ? I’ve been using them for a while and I’ve been looking to move on to a new brand of clippers for fading and bulk removal. I’ve never owned a babyliss clipper what are the differences between the babyliss and Wahl Magic Clip ?
Check out this video I did I’m comparing the Wahl senior which is similar. ua-cam.com/video/eTEl4C-Rt90/v-deo.html keep in mind they have the LoPro FX which is shaped just like the Wahl but the switch is different and might drive you crazy at first
Is there any difference in material? The Boost fx is being sold as all metal. Even though the regular gold fx has a plastic body amd just a metal grip.
Blades are interchangeable BUT the screws have to stay with certain blades, The wedge blades has screws that are recessed and have to stay with that blade
My profx has served me well for 2 or so years and still going strong. Had the boost for 6 or months, I find it randomly Turns off when running and does other odd stuff, not into the rubber handle. Though they are powerful I dunno I think I prefer the OGs. Have my profx with a fade blade for my bald to .5 or tight fades then the boost with taper blade for the rest of the work, setting up The fade or zero upwards trims. Love the combo.
@@barberslounge yeah sometimes when I open the blades real quick they’ll shut off but been fine last few days, def ab issue with the switch. Those charging stands are so bad as well. Still got mad love for them and ordered another pair of the blue boosts and trimmers, love the shape and weight on them. It’s such a nice experience
Is the BABYLISS PRO BOOST+ TRIMMER - MATTE BLACK | FX787BP-MB And the BABYLISS PRO BLACK FX BOOST+ LIMITED EDITION TRIMMER ONLY W/ CHARGING BASE (FXHOLPKCTB-B) (TRIMMER ONLY) the same thing ??
@@barberslounge really? I have 8 clippers and I keep going back to my old gold fx clippers or my magic clips. I have the onyx, rebel, etc but the fx churns out the nicest fades for me at the shop. What are your go to
Im a babyliss barber. And time to take a new one for me. I don't care about price of the clippers. Between boosted and snap wixh one is better . Remember price is off the answer. I like that snap is easy to clean and reloads. Seeing boost though last 3-4 hours and smaller, what about snap one reload how much time gives u its less then the boosted?
That’s tough, depends on how low you wanna go, you gotta be careful loose skin doesn’t fall in between the blade teeth and get cut too. I would do some research on machines specifically designed for that. Otherwise I’d you don’t wanna take it down to the skin, get a Wahl and premium 1 clip and go crazy
I just don’t know why they don’t do a Ferrari pair with the logo on the clipper, since it’s on the box seems like a missed opportunity. Love telling my clients that Ferrari designed the engine haha.
@@desmondmitchell5602 i put a completely different blade on. Idk if it was because of the deep tooth blade or what. But they are fine after i changed the blade out

Best Review of a Clipper ever! Nice Informative graphics.
Well done! 👌🏼
Great video very informative, all the info no one talks about 👌
Thanks for the review.! Think I will probably go with the Boost.
For the longest I been trying to figure out the difference in blades for clippers & trimmers. Now I know exactly thx to u bro, got it down to the T🔥
Glad I can help, it was confusing to me too. Still researching things about them
This is a great video! Helluva job!
Great indepth video and well put together.

babyliss sells the grips separately for like $25 on customfx

Can you put guards on the trimmer or just on the clippers?
Best comparison on UA-cam . Thank you
I agree
I had no idea what was what before watching this video...I almost got the pro but I'm going with the boost fo sho.
So out of all of these set ups. Which one would you say is your go to?
The BaByliss Boost Clipper and the Andis GTX skeleton
Thanks so much
which do u recommend? i neee a new clipper and detailer. i use in the past the wahl 5 star but i want try something new
I’d recommend the BaByliss Boost Clipper. I’m hearing a lot of amazing things about Stylecraft, but haven’t tried them yet
Just got mines gold with rubber grip, "how bout a shot" 🍻
Can the og blade that came on the original pro fx be put on the boost? That standard blade is 🔥
Blades are interchangeable BUT the screws have to stay with certain blades, The wedge blades has screws that are recessed and have to stay with that blade
So the snap fx and the boost version is pretty much the same just with no rubber grip?
Yea and no battery swap and might come with a different blade (fade or wedge)
Thanks

The fade or zero upwards trims. Love the combo.
I’ve been having something similar happen, I think it has to do with the switch.

For the Boost trimmer's Black Rubber Grip, does hair get stuck to it? Or, poke into the rubber grip?
Great question, I haven’t noticed it, I’m gonna look close for it. But I will say the barbell grip ones feels slippery now
Does anyone make a silicon sleeve to go over barbell grip? Would that change ur preference of boosts rubber over pro FX and snap?
Is there a difference between the Old Gold fx and the gunsteel in the video?
Not to my knowledge, they might just come with different blades
Is the BABYLISS PRO BOOST+ TRIMMER - MATTE BLACK | FX787BP-MB And the BABYLISS PRO BLACK FX BOOST+ LIMITED EDITION TRIMMER ONLY W/ CHARGING BASE (FXHOLPKCTB-B) (TRIMMER ONLY) the same thing ??
Yes, just different colors. BaByliss has a lot of variants, which is why it’s so confusing with them sometimes
Hello., which one models is the best for you to recommend?
Boost FX
@@barbersloungedo u have a link to ur boost fx trimmer

Sipping on that brugal
😂😂 I was waiting for someone to notice
Can I get the black boost fx trimmer and swap it with the graphite 2.0??
Yes that shouldn’t be a problem at all
@@barbersloungewhat’s the link to the black n gold trimmer with rubber handle in the middle ??
Seems a bit gimickey that they advertise ferrari designed “engine” though. Id rather the higher torque
I just don’t know why they don’t do a Ferrari pair with the logo on the clipper, since it’s on the box seems like a missed opportunity. Love telling my clients that Ferrari designed the engine haha.
Is the fx pro still a good clipper ?
Yes
So which one do you recommend to get?
The Boost
The boost trimmer has 4 hours of runtime!
Yep, I corrected that part. Thank you.
Wow 4 hours is pretty good
I just got them but they snag a lot

You don't have the fxone
