@@Vegitobluuuuu the shallow 2.0 seems to cut great across-the-board, the deep tooth cutter is also very good and universal, but once in a while, in certain situations, it might have issues

The cutting blade on the instinct x looks exactly like the cuttin blade on the 40 cal bmg clipper
Batteries wear out.Babyliss addressed this . I have had two of these Instinct clippers die on me. I will have to take them to a service center and pay a bench fee to get a new battery. I tried to change myself but was afraid I would break the soldier joint under the pc board. Assuming that is all it is. I do an average of 200 haircuts a month. I need better access to change a battery by myself without having to pay a professional to do a simple thing as a battery change.
We use ours quite a bit also. I have not had a battery wear out yet, degradation sure, on the instinct but I will say this it vibrates a lot and there have been a few units that one of the battery wires might come off. We have repaired several in our shop with a solder gun. It doesn’t take too much.
Battery swaps are pretty easy ngl If its already broken just give it a shot :)
Buying expensive clippers don't make you cut better. Just practice you will get the same results from 80 dollar corded clippers andis wahl ect...
this is so dumb to say if a clipper cuts better faster it makes the job easier and makes u money faster then buy it i used to be like u now i have 2 clippers 2 trimmer on my station for different purposes yes they are expensive but worth it
Definitely agree.
For all the bells and whistles the new cordless machines come with, a pair of $65 Wahl Icons or $75 5 Star Seniors will do the job just as well. No need to worry about charging just good ol consistent power at a flip of a switch.
Cordless is cool though, especially for those long days when your shoulder gets tired or you have a kid that moves around a lot.

I noticed the instinct is way better then the instinct X I believe it’s because the cutter blade the 2.0 is not as good.

Love my instinct but didnt jrl come out with that motor first? Theyre freshfade 2020c clipper did that too and theyve been out for much longer

I have loved my Instinct ever since receiving it about 6 months ago (although several kids have complained about it being hot). Until….a few days ago, in the middle of a haircut, it just quit. No dead battery or anything-just quit.
How much is the use without charging the instinct clipper and this new version that provides continuous use without charging it in its base does not comply with the 4 hours but with 2 hours I have doubts because I have an instinct clipper that only lasts 2 hours of continuous use without load it into its base
Yes, thats pretty normal. All clippers are tested under no resistance. The instinct has the ability to speed up when sensing bulk when it does that its kinda like smashing your accelerator down in your car you are not going to get the max miles per gallon. The battery will drain much faster when it runs at the higher SPM
I tried the clipper instinct without cutting hair and it only lasted 2 hours, continuous use did not last 4 hours
Hey Eddie I’m about to pull the trigger for the new instinct x. Ergonomic wise is better to grip to debulk the top than the original instinct? Also any issues regarding the battery or clipper heat due to vibration like the original instinct?
I shave my own head once a week, sometimes twice. I’ve used a peanut since I was 18, I’m 45 now and still use a peanut. It takes what seems like forever to cut my hair. So after a ton a research I pre ordered these clippers. I’m currently waiting, hoping the investment helps speed things along. Great review

Thanks for the content Eddie. Great job. I purchased an instinct when they first came out. I love using it. It just gets super hot after one haircut. Do you think this problem has been fixed with the instinct X?
The first batch of instincts came with the gold blade and that blade does not disperse heat the best that’s why they switch to the DLC blade. I have not had a problem with the DLC blade unless it was chipped, or possibly dull. Chances are you might be able to switch that blade out in the problem will go away.
@@UA-camBarberAcademy what is the DLC blade? Is that the regular fusion blade that comes on the rebel?

@@UA-camBarberAcademy how does it compare length wise to the ergo? The only complaint I could have about the ergo is it’s just a bit too long sometimes like when you have a bigger guard on like behind the ear area, it hits the shoulder.

@@UA-camBarberAcademythat’s what I was thinking, like I know a left handed barber and he thought it was cool but he thought the cyborgs were way too heavy to use all day. I think it would be cool to atleast make it an option for clippers, so u can pick if u want it right or left handed like shears

seen 3 instinct clippers at the shop im at die. tbh until this is addressed i wont be purchasing from style craft
We are aware of this issue and it’s actually a very simple fix. It does require a soldering gun but basically the battery terminal it vibrates with so much power that in some cases it will come disconnected. We have fixed a few also takes about 5 mins and never happened again. The newest batch has solved this issue.
this happened to me from the second batch they had in may and i got a new one so i hope it works this time i love the clipper as long as it works

@@UA-camBarberAcademy we recently fixed one as well with a solder gun but it shouldnt be necessary for us to do something like that as well the risk of ruining the warranty ( havent checked if it does but i would assume thats the case).
great clipper but idk if maybe a metal body would help. seen the plastic break quiet easily as well. just think it needs to be a bit more premium build especially for the price
