Became an instant fan when I inadvertently saw your first appearance on The Sing Off. Perfect voices, perfect harmonies, perfect public personalities. Every song a treat but...THIS one makes me so nostalgic for my small western Oklahoma town. Red dirt, back roads, wheat fields and so many friends of my youth and our crazy antics. Your voices always conjure up the most vivid mental images for me! Thanks for what you do.
The talent of this group keeps shining. I share their music everywhere I go. I love it when I explain to the young ones out there that this ALL their voices, no instruments....then they start to listen. Love it!
This is such an incredible cover of such a sad song. The thought of growing up and growing apart from everything you were once close to is just heartbreaking. And being both famous and from my generation, Ed Sheeran probably wrote this song from experience. Bone-chilling job as always, guys!
It was 6/07/2023 and I'm listening to this 12:58am and tears just running down my eyes at this very late time. Ed sheeran is singing about the country life and also includes all of us in the picture. He is a great singer not singing about himself but about how great everything is in the country. Oh how this song hits me, it hits me so so good ❤😢
Every time I hear their music I forget there r no physical instruments playing. Amazing talent to create that kind on sound w all vocals. Crazy talent and the sound stays w u. Better than original.
Absolutely the most beautiful album I have heard. I'm stuck in Mayday, but should probably move on, it is sung achingly beautiful with lots of emotion. Congratulations guys. I'm sure you got a hit in this album.
I'm a huge fan of Ed Sheeran and never thought I'd say this, but I like his version of Castle on the Hill while I LOVE yours. insane harmony just insane!!
Aussie Fan here, who has got all my friends listening and loving you lads! Even half my mates parents have been known to thrown on some Homefree while working in the garage or garden lately. Love it! Also so happy to here Chance have real showcase piece. The final bridge/phrase was just exceptional and the whole team just sound ripper to bring it home. A new favourite here!!
I cant get enough of Home Free and want everone to see and hear them. Each of the guys brings something different to the table. Chance your voice is sooo beautiful man, it gives me the chills. You guys must never break up, but how about a solo career for you, I will be the fist one to buy the cd or download the tracks
@@scottdemboski3488doing just fine. And these were two of the toughest years ever. Business went down 95% and is only now starting to recover but hey, we still have a lot to be thankfull for.
Even though I normally hate "one-note-Sally" vocal lines (I sing bass, I've seen plenty), my favorite line to sing along with is that tenor-octave-rhythmic-pedal-tone thing; I just love that rhythmic pulse, and also it's fun to harmonize/improvise with. Yet another great one :)
Home free is the first group I went to 4 times took my two daughters .. the only other group I was this crazy about was .. CREEDANCE IM OLD. And these guys Brought back life ❤
You each in your own right are incredible vocalists. I love that you share the lead and allow individual talent to shine. Together as a group you are amazing. I couldn't pick a favorite if my life depended on it, each new song replaces that last! Needless to say you never disappoint.
I don't think of Home Free as an acappella group for 2 reasons- it sure sounds like there are instruments being played and there are instruments being played ...their voices are incredible instruments; skillfully played. Y'all are great!
Im from wales and this song is my childhood now I live in Alabama and I got to say America is the greatest country in the world if you want to meet the most amazing people visit the south i do miss the country lanes and rolling green hills of the uk but Alabama is my home now and Roll Tide !!!
I don't understand why Home Free isn't even more popular than they are! Seriously!
I'm not even really a country fan but love what they do.
Help us share this video! :-)
I do not understand either
Shared it as soon as I saw it
prolly b/c they aren't doing the junk that's popular in the current country ... sad how bad it's got ...
Home Free, If I could afford to go I would go to all their Concerts. I have sent information on them to most all my family.
If I were a hit singer I'd be praying, "please, God, don't let Home Free cover one of my songs," cuz I know they'd do it much better than I did.
Jack Mandu ikr
Ha,ha,ha,...!!! So very true!
😂😂 true. I watched the songs blue ain't your colour and Die a happy man . It was much better than the original
agree !
This might explain the dislikes on all of their videos.
Some ppl are really devoted fans, that they are unwilling to have a true listening session.
I LOVE HomeFree! Am I the only one that loves the covers because I can finally understand the lyrics to so many songs when they sing them?
Nope... I'm totally with you Kami ;)
You are certainly not alone!!!
Understand more of the words with HF then the original singers!!!! Be careful and be safe.
I feel the same as you, I finally understand the words of a lot songs! I just found Home Free a few months ago and OMG I love them
I think Ed Sheeran would be proud of this version. Speaking as a fan of his.

Found my heart and broke it here
Made friends and lost them through the years

Driving at ninety down those country lanes
Singing to "Tiny Dancer"
And I miss the way you make me feel, and it's real
We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
Fifteen years old and smoking hand-rolled cigarettes
Running from the law through the backfields and getting drunk with my friends
Had my first kiss on a Friday night, I don't reckon that I did it right
But I was younger then, take me back to when
We found weekend jobs, when we got paid
We'd buy cheap spirits and drink them straight
Me and my friends have not thrown up in so long, oh how we've grown
But I can't wait to go home
I'm on my way
Driving at ninety down those country lanes
Singing to "Tiny Dancer"
And I miss the way you make me feel, and it's real
We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
Over the castle on the hill
Over the castle on the hill
One friend left to sell clothes
One works down by the coast
One had two kids but lives alone
One's brother overdosed
One's already on his second wife
One's just barely getting by
But these people raised me and I can't wait to go home
And I'm on my way, I still remember
This old country lanes
When we did not know the answers
And I miss the way you make me feel, it's real
We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
Over the castle on the hill
Over the castle on the hill
Became an instant fan when I inadvertently saw your first appearance on The Sing Off. Perfect voices, perfect harmonies, perfect public personalities. Every song a treat but...THIS one makes me so nostalgic for my small western Oklahoma town. Red dirt, back roads, wheat fields and so many friends of my youth and our crazy antics. Your voices always conjure up the most vivid mental images for me! Thanks for what you do.
Just love your music!! And you all seem to just love what you do! Thank you for sharing your love of music with the world!!
Aw shucks, thanks!!
I love hearing this song live and they show how the looper works
Absolutely the most beautiful album I have heard. I'm stuck in Mayday, but should probably move on, it is sung achingly beautiful with lots of emotion. Congratulations guys. I'm sure you got a hit in this album.
Just brilliant! Chance taking lead and the end of the last verse-I got chills!
O.M.G. 3:40 Chance you beast!!!
I'm a huge fan of Ed Sheeran and never thought I'd say this, but I like his version of Castle on the Hill while I LOVE yours. insane harmony just insane!!
3:25! Adam your voice is incredible
The harmony they did after Adam sang in the beginning was amazing!!! This is so hand downs the best album I have heard!!! OMG!!! Absolutely amazing!!!
OMGGGGGG they turned the song so much more wholesome than it already was!!!!
Holy shit, this made me so freaking homesick it actually hurts...
I know what you mean. We are moving soon from our country home and I am going to miss it. This song depicts my situation
Homesick for my early childhood; I've lived in the same place my entire life & never traveled very far. 🙎
I didn't think it possible, but I love Adam's voice a little more with each video
Love hearing Chance sing. you have a beautiful voice!

Hello good afternoon
Continue you guys are changing lives
I cant get enough of Home Free and want everone to see and hear them. Each of the guys brings something different to the table. Chance your voice is sooo beautiful man, it gives me the chills. You guys must never break up, but how about a solo career for you, I will be the fist one to buy the cd or download the tracks
Beautiful song how are you doing ?
@@scottdemboski3488doing just fine. And these were two of the toughest years ever. Business went down 95% and is only now starting to recover but hey, we still have a lot to be thankfull for.
Even though I normally hate "one-note-Sally" vocal lines (I sing bass, I've seen plenty), my favorite line to sing along with is that tenor-octave-rhythmic-pedal-tone thing; I just love that rhythmic pulse, and also it's fun to harmonize/improvise with. Yet another great one :)
FictionWriter95 I think its a copy of Ed Sheeran's use of a looper for his songs. :D
Home free is the first group I went to 4 times took my two daughters ..
the only other group I was this crazy about was .. CREEDANCE
IM OLD.
And these guys
Brought back life ❤
I love home free. Their voices always amaze me. So much talent.
Beautiful song how are you doing ?
I can understand why Adam Chance loves this song. He did a great job and the harmony is AMAZING!
You each in your own right are incredible vocalists. I love that you share the lead and allow individual talent to shine. Together as a group you are amazing. I couldn't pick a favorite if my life depended on it, each new song replaces that last! Needless to say you never disappoint.
Thanks so much!
Beautiful song how are you doing today?
This just doesn't get any better have watched home free since they have been on the tv.Bravo guys you are incredible. ...!
I'll take Home Free's version of this and "Blue Ain't Your Color" over the original versions any day!
I'm so glad Chance took the lead on that one! It is perfect for his voice! Brilliant!!
