    Really appreciate your videos that j channel one helped me out a lot.. been in the trades since I graduated about to be 21 now...if you are offering any jobs I swear I’d move to your area would be a great opportunity, got a great amount of knowledge plus a great amount of tools and it would be cool to learn more about roofing etc. in person that’s like the only thing I don’t do really..but really like your story and hustle keep working my guy!!

      Zack of All Trades one question though..why not leave nails in and then just pop new onto existing? Are you just teaching him perfect practice for when he’s doing a real repair on an older house with a blow off that was probably nailed too low anyways? Lol

      @@trimmasterld eh. They knew how to do it. I probably would've pulled on the piece for sure and done that now that I'm rethinking it... but either way works well

    clown construction, when replacing vinyl siding just leave the old nails in the wall, put your new piece on without nailing nothing cut around the master mounts while it's on the wall, snap back in place your done, three minute job, if they would have used the zip tool correctly time saver, try it next time it will save time, especially when you have a lot of siding to replace because of hail damage.just kidding about clown construction, your are the best roofer I've ever seen.

    • @NWIVeteranConstruction
      @NWIVeteranConstruction  4 роки тому

      That way is pretty good too I've done that a number of times as well. Would have to say I would've removed the nails here too but to each his own. And thank you sir

      On a serious note though man thanks for all the lessons you provide. I knew minor roofing info when I first started. Watching you I have learned so much that has proven to be beneficial in tuning my craft and being efficient while keeping quality #1. I currently roof for a company in central Indiana and have quickly climbed through the ranks off the knowledge I gather here, thanks for the videos and Roof on brother!!

    Man I know this has nothing to do with this video but from one veteran to another I need a hand....how the hell do you shingle a valley? I know you made a video but its confusing....like I need to know everything. What side do you start from? Help me out brother

    • @NerxaOG
      @NerxaOG 4 роки тому +3

      you always start from the lower side when running your valley. Put down the taller side shingle first with the smaller sides shingle second with the 6in overlap onto the opposite side of the valley. From there you will run the valley up with your lower side being the one ran out first from the shingles placed inside the valley. After it has been ran up you will then do your gravy runs and finish the lower side off. From there chalk your valley. You will run a shingle up the valley vertically with the windows facing out. You then will line the shingles up with the edge of the vertical shingle. Run 2 shingles out on each row to ensure you are keeping your rows straight. hit the gravy run and tie up your ends. I probably could have worded this much better but it helps paint a better picture while you watch his closed valley video.
