I first met sublime (Brad) at a Club that used to be on Springdale and Warner (now a massage parlor) a couple years before this when I was a freshman at Marina (my friend Danny's cousin played in the band The Ziggens) I snuck in the back and was wearing a beenie and was just growing dreads. I met Brad because he was by himself as bud and Eric were talking to a bunch of people, we both loved reggae and surfing, so we hit it off, got stoned, and I saw him quite a few times throughout the years, both at the beach and at shows. I think when I met him, he hadn't started using yet, after I met him, I saw him literally 6 months later at the beach and he was a skeleton, just like he was at this show. I really had no idea there was footage of this, I remember looking in the crowd to see if anybody had a big old video camera (obviously before cell phones) and I never saw anyone !!! Unfortunately after I graduated from Marina, I followed his same path, it was a long dark part of my life.
