Hi everyone! We have 2 days left in my film fundraiser! I'm donating 100% of the proceeds this week from sales of my film photography to Feeding America. We just passed $300!! Darkroom has partnered with me to donate all the shipping/printing fees as well so genuinely 100% is going to be donated! Open until April 7. Check out my prints here: caricakes.darkroom.tech/
Maybe this sounds weird but it's so nice with a vlog of someone appreciating the small things, like just taking a walk and enjoying spring, you know? When you live in a big city, in my case Stockholm before I moved abroad, you just go from A to B as efficiently as possible. You go on autopilot, stressing away with everything else, all the musts that need to be done etc. So, in the end, you no longer stop and live in the now, you don't look up and take a proper look around and appreciate the moment, may it be smells, the weather, the flowers or whatever really. I burnt myself out in the end and had to re-learn to do this, "life" so to speak :)
I don't know why my original comment didnt post but i totally understand this! i would get this way in nyc sometimes but something would always come along and be so funny and beautiful that you had to sort of snap out of it and notice the world around you. Seoul does that a lot to me too :)

Is it weird that I feel like were friends and were face timing and your showing me your days? That's how it feels. That's the energy you give and I am very grateful for you energy in this time. You videos always make me smile. (It feels weird to keep commenting on your videos because I have never commented on videos until yours but I have to give my love and appreciation for your energy and smiles. ) But I hope you are doing well, that you are healthy, and safe. Until next time. Love from SF
Omg Cari... You're the best person ever. I'm a cashier and if someone would bring me a piece of homemade cake I would die. Once I told a customer who was not even a regular that I was coming down with a cold, and next time he came he brought me a jar of honey and it made my entire month. I tear up whenever I remember that lol. Idk its just so heartwarming, no one really appreciates us people behind the register. I've loved you for years now, but you just continue to prove that you really are one of the absolute best people on here. You make the world a better place. Thank you
Omg yeah i would have sobbed too hahaha I’ve worked a few jobs like that and i get way too attached to my regulars LOL also i talk to her more than some of my close friends haha
I was supposed to fly to Seoul this week because i wanted to see cherry blossoms for the first time of my life. But due to the current situation, I’m not able to. Thank you for the closeup of the cherry blossoms. It feels like i’m there enjoying spring day
Loving the fresh spring vibes in Korea at this time. This video brings back a lot of personal memories for me in Seoul. Stay safe, strong and happy April 🙌💯🌸🌿
I'm living in Korea at the moment with limited cooking appliances lol and I was on the fence about buying a rice cooker but now I know you can make banana bread (my one true love) I am 100% getting one!!!
I'm going to have to agree with Kurt on this. There is a line that can be crossed when there is just TOO MUCH TEA! Then it can get real ugly. Have a beautiful tea-filled spring, Cari.
Means a lot to me. I was suppose to go to Seoul with my friends (them for the first time, mine for the 4th!) next week but because of the worrying Covid-19 situation here in Malaysia, they've restricted travel overseas so we had to cancel it. Seeing all the blooms spring out in your videos makes it feel like I've living my trip through your vlogs, so thank you :) Always so lovely to start my day with your beautiful positive energy.
you are so cute! as someone who works in customer service, im sure you made that lady very happy with the piece of banana bread 🥺 little thank yous can often make our day if not the entire week :)
Hello from London, a few days ago we had beautiful blossoms and all the flowers coming out, sadly because of the virus we cant go out and parks are closed but I can still see them through my window :)
I am supposed to be in Korea (my second time, lol) by April 5 but we had to cancel because of the virus and we are currently on lockdown 🙃. So Cari's video is my way of seeing city again. Thanks Cari for bringing me around Seoul! 💕🥺
Thank you for sharing the cherry blossoms! So beautiful to see. Kurt and the tea was hilarious. My parents nearly bought a tea shop a few years ago and our house has entire cabinets of tea. I actually have an entire milk crate full! Also, now I really want a roasted potato....banana bread in a rice cooker is genius too. Learn sooo much from you :)
Hey just found your channel recently and am absolutely loving every video. Thanks for sharing your life in Korea - these sorts of videos are literally one of my favourite things about the internet. I don't think I could ever live anywhere other than Canada but I have fallen in love with Korea in so many ways and I love the chance to see what life is like there for you. Enjoy the spring weather! :)
All the blossoms are so beautiful Cari! Staying indoors has been making me go a little bit crazy but seeing your vlogs always puts a smile on my face, thank you!
Love it! You always made my day. Kurt you cant have enough tea, Cari you have my support with the overflowing tea hahahaha, love the bgm with Kurt hahaha. I want to hear more of you speaking Korean you sound really cute. Thanks for sharing this little bits of spring and your life. Stay safe
I love how you captured all the beautiful things about spring in Seoul🌸 it makes me wanna just teleport from Norway to Seoul and live there for a while 😂 🌸I really love your videos💕
I love how you captured all the beautiful things about spring in Seoul. It makes me wanna just travel in Soil and live there. I really love your videos.😍🌸🌸🌸
Cari! I love it when you talk so don’t apologize💜 the banana bread looked so good, I think I will try to make banana bread too now😂 and the way you decorated your space with your paintings seem lovely!🌸💜
This video made the happiest I have been in a while😌 Seeing the beautiful weather and the trees made feel so refreshed and I felt like I was there✨ I want you (Cari) to know how much your videos mean to me, they give so much happiness, smiles, comfort and hope🌸 Thank you so much for sharing everything that you do! P.S I am obsessed with your green jacket that you wore in the video!✨😭✨
What a nice way to wake up! I’m currently preparing to celebrate my bfs birthday before he goes into the military, so I’m a little stressed, a lil sad, but mostly just happy to be able to be here. This calming video has helped me get motivated for a fun day ahead !! 🌺✨🌺
Love watching your videos before I go to bed especially now that travel is so restricted it feels like I’m far away from home and completely relaxed :)) have been binging all the vlogs
You have the exact life that I want 😭 So happy to see the little details in your everyday life, I'll go and imagine myself in your shoes now. Love your vlogs Cari! ❤️
We were supposed to fly to SKorea Mar26 to Apr4 but everything got cancelled, so thank you for your videos because this is the closest I’ve been to Seoul lol
All your vlogs are so soothing, but this was an especially nice treat - cherry blossoms, banana bread, sweet potato - yum. We started watching Brooklyn Nine Nine a few weeks ago and I laughed at your reference. We also always say "9/10 mouth feel" whenever we eat something particularly tasty, ha.
Honestly waking up to your post notif was so needed today, I've been having a rough week (still quarantined) and your vlog really calmed me down. I really feel like I can start fresh now! Thank you so much as always! 🥺💖 also I really wanna make banana bread now agshshd new point on my Sunday to do list 🤭🍌🍞
I love your channel so much! Crazy to think that I found it in (I think) 2016 through your tumblr and to see how your channel has grown from 9k to over 100k! Am I proud of you? Yes. Greetings and love from quarantine me stuck in my room in Germany 💛🌻
Love your vids as always! Just a silent viewer here, but it's so nice to see Korea in Spring. We've been there twice and both were autumn. Nothing beats spring, I think. Thanks for bringing us along. Take care always!
Wow I've been binging your videos after discovering them through this miserable quarantine. I was just in Seoul over the winter holiday and am kicking myself for not having found your videos sooner because I didn't have a good time! You're so effortlessly cool, and it's due to your sincerity and candor. Keep it up! I'm shocked you don't have a million subscribers at this point.
So much lovely content in this video - wholesome banana bread adventures, adorable dogs and beautiful trees! I’ve never seen what a Magnolia tree looks like before but they’re absolutely breathtaking. The Kurt rant over tea interlude was hilarious though 😂 Hope you’re doing well Cari! 😊😊
Hey Cari! I struggled a little bit with drinking water as well (mainly cos I keep forgetting lol). I find the app Plant Nanny helped A LOT cos it feels like I am taking care of virtual plants, and drinking the number of glasses of water per day. You should try it out! ☺️
There is so much to comment on here but CaRI cArI CarRiIiIii I lost my MIND at your outfit at 14:38 😍 That patent green jacket with the black top and black & cream & orange bandana???? MMMMM *chef's kiss* fashion QUEEn
I loved hearing about your journal! I can relate to the desire to journal but not being able to keep it up. There's only been one journal that I've found I can keep up: a happiness journal! At the end of each day, I write one thing that made me happy that day (sometimes I'll write more than one). Sometimes it's something as small as "I ate a really good cheeseburger today." Other times, I take a paragraph or two to talk about something I did with my family. It just always helps me end my day looking at the blessings. Even if it's been a bad day, it challenges me to find something, even the tiniest thing, that was good that day. Now that I've been doing it over a year, each day after I write my entry, I go back to the same date a year ago to reread that entry. It brings me lots of warm memories. (It's also easy to keep this journal up because it only requires a minute or two a day. I keep the journal in the nightstand beside my bed and write down my entry for the day right before going to sleep.) I just thought I'd share in case you or anyone else might want to journal but doesn't have time every day. I've loved doing it so much, and I want to pass it on.
Yes!!! I make kurt list things we’re grateful for and he hates it but its easier to say it out loud than it is for us to write it hahahha but maybe I’ll start my own!
This video makes me very happy but kinda sad :,) I was supposed to be in Seoul/Busan from March 22nd-April 7th, but we had to cancel the trip about a month ago. I've been in self isolation since March 18th and now everyday all I think about is "I was supposed to be in Korea right now but instead I'm still in my pajamas" one bright side is I think I've watched all your videos! I've also had plenty of time to study Korean more so I'll be more prepared when I do go! I'm so happy that you've been posting cherry blossom and such on instagram so I still got to see them :) Thank you
another bright side is that this spring wasnt the best - the blossoms were only really out for maybe 3 days? i hope that the spring that you are able to visit is our best yet!!!
Canada woo 🍁🙌😂 also love that someone gave you real maple syrup too haha. This vlog was so cute (especially when you gave that nice lady the banana bread) and helped raise my spirits 🌸 I hope I can see pretty blossoms like these in Korea someday soon!
i dunno but I always think about that scene in the wind up bird when someone says they are currently cooking pasta.🙄 binging your vids is my therapy. 😘🌼🌻
Fun video. I was in Seoul April 24th through the end of May of last year and just missed the cherry blossoms. I want to head back but am stuck in Mexico until after the lockdown ends.
You feel like a long lost friend that I always love catching up with. I'm thankful for your videos especially during this time and I hope you always stay safe and healthy. Much love to you and yours!
I made a banana bread in a rice cooker once, too, and i think it is time to make one again. the sweet potato baking in a pan is so cool! and ❤️ the cherry blossoms. thank you for sharing glimpses of your life in Seoul and i absolutely love watching you talk so no need to apologize. 😁 Stay safe, Cari!
no one: literally nobody: cari, in every video in her apartment ever: can you hear my wind chime???? (haha it's just so adorable how much you love your wind chime, i feel like it's a member of your household or something
Omg I loved this video so much, I’m currently stuck at home and this just gave me a boost and how I wish I was outside now. Did the ahjuma love your banana bread btw? 😍😍😍
I've always admired your hair but WOW the color looked so good in this video while you were walking outside in the sun!! Thanks for another great video :)
Hi Cari! Where do you get your music for your videos? Can you please make a video of how you plan out your videos/your process? Love your videos!! Just found you last week and can’t stop watching your channel 👍🏽😅
absolutely love the trees, they're so beautiful! my friends from overseas keep posting photos of blooming trees on their ig stories while im stuck here in norway with not a single leaf visible yet 😭but i did see some pretty little flowers on my daily self isolation walk yesterday, so that got me excited! thank you for the video cari ❤️ also "im an ugly cleaner"...i felt that LOL and i open bananas like that too because someone once told me that if theres insects in the banana, that's where they're going to be hiding (idk if true - probably not cause why would they only stay there hahaha)
"It's not a thing that you can just start again."... totally agree with you on that. I have always been writing since grade school until highschool but kinda lost it when I went to college because engineering...ugh... and when I started working, it had to be technical writing. I so wanted to go back to creative writing, tried so many times but I can't seem to find my way back to it.😭

absolutely love the trees, they're so beautiful! my friends from overseas keep posting photos of blooming trees on their ig stories while im stuck here in norway with not a single leaf visible yet 😭but i did see some pretty little flowers on my daily self isolation walk yesterday, so that got me excited! thank you for the video cari ❤️
also "im an ugly cleaner"...i felt that LOL and i open bananas like that too because someone once told me that if theres insects in the banana, that's where they're going to be hiding (idk if true - probably not cause why would they only stay there hahaha)
hope spring comes to you guys soon!! norway was gorgeous in the autumn when i went, i cant imagine how beautiful it would be in spring!
@@caricakes i'm really happy you enjoyed autumn here:) once everything starts to bloom i will show you on instagram!
Watching this while being under complete lockdown is very relaxing... Oh, I wish I can go for a sunny walk now :)
Hope we’re all free and safe to do it soon!
"It's not a thing that you can just start again."... totally agree with you on that. I have always been writing since grade school until highschool but kinda lost it when I went to college because engineering...ugh... and when I started working, it had to be technical writing. I so wanted to go back to creative writing, tried so many times but I can't seem to find my way back to it.😭
Ugh right?! Its so hard!! Hope we both get back into it soon 🙏
