- Hey guys, I always loved how the stages all are connected in Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, so I made a special video compiling all of this moments and some bosses in the game, hope you like it!

Sega did a perfect job of this. Telling a story through short and sweet cutscenes, even with no dialog these have aged so well.
Back when Sega understood "Show Don't Tell" and didn't fill every scene with annoying, unnecessary dialogue.

@@Densester And ironically that "Anoying unnecesary dialogue" was the reason why sonic stories became more complex and interesting with character arks, motiefs, character evolution Etc.

I kinda like the ending, it shows Knuckles smiling with happiness, rather than with vengeance (I guess), I mean, come on!

Came here to explain to my dad what was the story on the original game. Had a good time yesterday watching the movie with him because despite him not knowing that much about sonic, he does know something here and there

Fun Fact: At 14:54 the game loads up Angel Island zone for this cutscene; the place where Knuckles is standing is actually part of the act 1 layout! Another interesting thing is that the Master Emerald always glows if you have all the Super Emeralds. It does this in Hidden Palace, the Final Boss, The Doomsday, and even the ending.
Reminds me of SA2 using one of the desert levels for Sandopolis (we can assume it's sandopolis, as it's Knuckles' first cutscene, where he shatters the Master Emerald).
Fun Fact: Sonic was supposed to ride a surfboard to angel island but they replaced it with tails

I'm 15 and when I was less than 10 I was playing this game because on my father's computer there was the Sonic & Knuckles collection, so yeah I have nostalgia for this even if I am a gen Z and I never owned a genesis/megadrive.

@@matteosignor4256I am 14 and even though I have little to no memory to the actual Gameplay of Sonic 3 & Knuckles, I can still remember the Title Screen. That's one thing I will never forget.

But still that magical moment of opening Sonic 3&K as a kid and seeing that giant Sonic jumping at the screen remains impressed in my mind! Hope that you'll relive your childhood memories! I find it funny that Tails is trying to help Super Sonic
I like how at the very end there is the big logo tails is waving knuckles is punching and at 18:09 sonic gives a little thumbs up to you for your hard work
I kinda feel bad for knuckles in this game, he goes through all this effort to try and save his emerald from us, only to find that he was tricked after a pathetically fruitless fight, and get electrocuted by robotnik when desperately trying to stop him. It's actually rather sad.

Are you kidding? He was being a troll all through the game and making things difficult. I know Eggman tricked him but still... anyways my favorite scene is where he figured out Sonic and Tails were the good guys and helped them.

He was awesome in the movie, and guess what? he ended up getting his own mini series on Paramount + called The Knuckles Show: a short spin-off of the Sonic Movies
As for marble garden you forgot the place collapses when tails helped sonic
carsfan360 I don't believe this counts as a cutscene, as it is just the boss entering, like the GHZ boss flying in, or Robotnik's Flame craft appearing from the waterfall. Then again, I also wouldn't consider the AIZ airship or the ice cap intro to be cutscenes either

I still wish the ending cutscene in Hidden Palace zone was faster, since it's supposed to be a very intense scene.
You didn't show the one where Knuckles drops Sonic to the Hydro it zone boss.
And the one where Knuckles puts Sonic into the Carnival Night zone boss.

Y'all know how in Unknown from M.E., Knuckles says "Unlike Sonic, I don't chuckle!". Yet what's the FIRST THING we see Knuckles do? Chuckle, we see him chuckle, HE LIED TO US!!

7:45 is nobody gonna question how flying battery hasn’t crashed or why it’s even flying this low
Eggman just scouring the forest, not giving a single damn for the forest. He could just down the trees if it came to it, he reasons.
It really did feel like eggman was trying his hardest to take over the world in this game.

The metal thing Sonic uses as a snowboard is from Flying Battery, but instead of going to Flying Battery after Carnival Night it takes you to Ice Cap which makes no sense

There's something I don't understand though. Like why did sonic come to the island in the first place and why was knuckles fighting sonic?
Eggman's base, the Death Egg, crash landed on the Island, so Sonic & Tails went investigate. After Eggman discovers about the Master Emerald he tricks Knuckles into believing that Sonic is the bad guy who wants to steal the Emerald and that he is the good guy trying to protect it, after that Sonic gets on the Island and the game begins!

Because he's the fastest thing "alive"... there can be non-living things faster than/as fast as Sonic, such as Metal Sonic.

Not only is it an incredibly long vessel, it flies away from him there, it's not necessarily that Sonic "lost" it, it ascends, and then he's preoccupied with Eggman.

It's a sprite thing. I forget exactly, but something about only being able to show so many colors on screen at once, and Sonic and Tails onscreen with Knuckles as well as the background forced them to replace the green socks with yellow ones

Ahh. Wonderful. Back when Knuckles was actually cool and smart and not a moronic dumbass Sega made him these days. I wish they just had him keep tricking others rather than have him repeatedly tricked for no god reason. It never made sense that they carried over what happened to him once (being tricked) rather than carrying over what he kept doing (tricking others).
